Findings
I. Background Information on Walnut
Walnut is derived from its original Spanish name Rancho de Nogales, which means “Ranch of the Walnut Trees.” Before Walnut became the beautiful suburb that it is today its primary purpose was for the grazing of cattle and sheep. Jose De la Cruz Linares received Walnut in a land grant of 4,340 acres from the San Gabriel Valley Mission. It would be nice to receive a land grant like that today. Shortly after Linares death, Walnut was acquired by Ricardo Vijar and declared a city in 1959. (2017)

DISCUSSION: Orvis Campbell explained the Tuscarawas County Drug Task Force was funded by contributions of entities within Tuscarawas County. The Multi-County Drug Task Force (MCDTF) includes Tuscarawas, Carroll, Holmes, and Harrison Counties and received a small grant for this year from the State of Ohio. They will be funded on a larger scale next year through the Office of Criminal Justice Services and the Drug Task Force Fund. The State did not want (2) two drug task forces so Tuscarawas County had to eliminate one and they decided to eliminate the Tuscarawas County Drug Task Force. The MCDTF board decided to turn the remaining funds over to the county general fund. Tuscarawas County will still be the grantee and

The trial took place in Newark, New Jersey. In 1974, two of the witnesses, Bello ‘and Bradley renounced their testimony and confessed of lying in hopes of receiving good treatment from the cops. Two years later, the case was relooked and Carter and Artis were released but only for six months. A second trial took place in the fall of 1976, in which the two men were convicted again and found guilty. A group of Canadians decided to study Carter’s case because they strongly felt that he was innocent. They moved to the US and became fully committed to help prove his innocence after the summer of 1983. They worked alongside
This report will be on the research I have discovered first hand as well as through statistical data that compares and contrasts the neighborhoods of Greenbush and Burke Heights, both located in Madison, Wisconsin. When researching these two neighborhoods, I focused on the neighborhoods housing statistics, demographics of their residents, and the money circulating within the neighborhoods. Another aspect I paid attention to while comparing the neighborhoods was the economic and employment opportunities available within the communities. These benefits directly correlate to the amount of capital that is available for residents. Lastly, I took note of the entertainment, retail, and physical possibilities that prevailed in these neighborhoods.
A junior in Brownsboro High School, Ashley Dixon was asked an important question, “What improvement would you like to see in Brownsboro/Chandler.” In receiving this question, Dixon pondered for a while and gave her response : “ I would like to see more places to eat, more areas of entertainment, and new schools hopefully soon.” However, she added, “the only issue is that they would have to raise the taxes, and find some investors, but overall, it would make the lifestyle here more entertaining. We would also expand the area and hopefully attract more people into town.” Altogether, Dixon just wants the best for her hometown, her family and her peers.

The city of Seminole will take over the two private roads adjacent to the property, 80th Avenue and Liberty Lane will now be owned by the city. The City will repave the roads and landscape the area (Ely, 2015). The first phase of the reconstruction of the Seminole Mall will begin with the demolition of the movie theater. In preparation of this demolition and in the interest of public safety, a portion of 80th Avenue North and Liberty Lane will be closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic (City of Seminole, 2015). The two roads are the only expenditures the city will have once the development process in finished.
The neighborhood I have chosen is Watts, California. Before it was known as Watts it was a part of Rancho La Tajuata specializing in livestock grazing and beef production. In the 1870's there was a population boom of White Americans in Southern California. La Tajuata was divided and sold into smaller farms and homes. By the 1900's the development of the railroads brought good things. The town became a city and built it's first station known as Watts Station. In 1926 the city annexed itself to Los Angeles. The railroads brought Mexican and Mexican American workers known as "traqueros" into the community.
Using my previous fieldwork and the Windshield Survey, I was able to drive around the city of Pasadena observing local patrons. I was able to focus my desire for improvements on specific areas I thought would be appropriate and want to focus on specifically for my community health topic. Due to the large amount of people in the city, I was able to go to local parks, outdoor malls and various busy streets. Using questions addressed from the Windshield Survey, I was able to delineate whether the city is primarily rural or suburban. Approximately how much open space is there and whether it is open space or private? Pasadena is a suburban city and has over 7 million square feet of open space (City Data, 2015). The survey also asks how old the buildings and homes are in the community? Are these homes similar or different in structure and architecture? Are there solar panels in use? Are the yards trimmed and neat or overgrown? I used the city 's
Los Angeles was the first product off the assembly line of American urban planning. Turned on in the late 19th century, the city-making machine was fueled by an immense immigration of people who sought to create a new type of city out of the previously quaint pueblo. They also strove to craft the first major city developed primarily by Americans and outside of European archetypes. As a result, Los Angles is not only incredibly diverse, but also nearly impossible to define. Since it is a product of the American machine, understanding the community of Los Angeles becomes vital to understanding the United States. But to fully comprehend the present Los Angeles, one must look at the process that created it. Specifically, Los Angeles was
Mr. Lassiter, being the manager of sales and marketing, should have addressed the entire organization of the new system changes.
