I believe Creighton University School of Medicine will meet both my professional goals and personal needs. Professionally, the emphasis on advancing knowledge and the overall wellbeing of patients will enable me to become a compassionate knowledgeable physician. The collaborative work between Dr. Huele and Dr. Gallagher, which incorporates organometallic chemistry and medicine, is particularly fascinating. My undergraduate research in organometallic chemistry and Lupus lacked this direct connection between these two disciplines. I’ve always been interested in the field of medicine. When I was being born, I almost died, being saved only by the ingenuity of a Nurse Day for whom my middle name is dedicated to. Above all else, I want to have an impact on the quality of life for others, and I think the University of Pennsylvania is one of, if not the, best ways to do that. Its bioengineering department is consistently ranked to be the most rigorous in the field, and I can handle rigor.

This is demonstrated by my history of working closely with my professors, such as Dr. Tomeny at UA in his Abnormal Psychology and Child Psychology courses. I enjoyed taking Geropsychology with the respected Dr. Forrest Scoggins. I finished my undergraduate career strong with two A+ grades in my senior seminar classes including Psychology of Memory with Dr. Ian McDonough and Trauma with Mrs. Katy Lauren Ford. I worked individually with Dr. McDonough on a research study at UAB that analyzed risk factors for Alzheimer’s in older adults. I did a one-on-one high-level readings course with Dr. Cummings on the psychopharmacology of depression medication and related effective treatments and received a 94-final grade.

The University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM) is one of nation’s leading and largest medical schools. Founded in late September of 1882 in Chicago, three additional campus sites at Peoria, Rockford and Urbana opened eighty-two years later. This medical school is unique since because of the large size there are many campuses that provide many opportunities to experience rural and urban populations. Within the year I graduate I am going to college to study along the lines of neurosurgery . I have to take 2 years of chemistry, 3 years of math , 4 years of science and 1 year of history . I need to spend 4 years in college. preferably in pre-med or other related biological, physical or chemical science. 4 years in medical school, and 6-8 years in residency after medical school. They are ranked 37th in Best Business Schools by United States News Best Grad School Rankings (Education Colleges). Also, they are ranked 14th in College of Business by University and College Rankings. The College of Business is going to be my chosen major.
