This year the Chicagoland EAA Chapter Leaders' Summit had it's 5th meeting. The idea came out sprung out of an event that EAA Chapter 790 had to finish the Poker Run we had run during the summer of 2012. We discussed at the wind down how it would be great to get the leaders together and put our chapter events together on one schedule for all to see. At our first meeting at Lake in the Hills Airport we had 4 chapters represented, but it was well worth us getting together. The group has continued to develop since first February 2013 meeting and I believe that 13 chapters were represented. The group now discusses more than just the schedule as you will see on this year's agenda. The annual get together now discusses important issues
Nevada league of cities and municipalities met in Henderson NV January 23, 2015 for the Local government summit. Did you hear about the Cubs winning the world series and how they ended a 108 year world series drought and broke the "Billy Goat Curse." The Chicago Cubs are A Major League Baseball team that is in the Central National Division. The Chicago Cubs are my favorite baseball team. Before you say this but no I am not a bandwagoner, I was a fan for like 5 years and back then they sucked. What I will be writing about is The History Of the Chicago Cubs and who has been apart of the Cubs and where they are at now.
As a team we discussed the future of these meetings. During the meeting it was brought to our attention that Estacada Connect group has as similar function in the community and that we could possibly unify resources if we were to attend those meetings/join them.
This group is simply more than an organization it is a brotherhood unified by solidarity, in which is seen throughout the weekly rituals such as check in. Then what comes next, is the topic of day or it could be how they plan to impact the U of I community around them.
Other notable topics mentioned at last night’s meeting include the WAC Toy Drive currently taking place and the Phi Mu Alpha appeal for funds for a Jazz Festival to take place in early February of next year.

However, “Sports Forward” program on September 28 is looking like a better a fit. We would like for you to have a more substantive role, especially since the Chamber is pursuing sports leagues as members. We will work toward that and keep you and Michelle updated as the agenda progresses. OK? In addition, FYI, we are in discussion with Michael Hershman about cross-promotion with an organization he is helming – the International xxx.
As a group, we came to conclusion that we will meet possible the next two Tuesdays at 4:00PM at the Rec Center. It was indicated that India, Kendyl and Amanda can attend this meeting, but we are not sure if Liliana is able to attend this time and day because she wasn’t in class on Wednesday, so our plans may be changing.

How are you guys doing today? First, I want to thank Audrey for taking the time to send the Agenda to us. Thanks for doing this. Second, as per my conversation with Audrey, I am happy with Grace's suggestion. That should work well participating over the phone, instead of coming down there in person. Let's see what day/date the next meeting will fall into, I will try my best to be there in person, if not, then, I can participate over the phone.

Our general meetings are held on various Sunday nights at 8 pm, where the officers of our affiliated umbrella organizations will attend to discuss the conflicts and opportunities experienced by our community currently. These general meetings are a great way for our Asian community to bond and meet new leaders that all work to promote the richness of the Asian cultures.
Since that time, I have been to a plethora of various types of meetings at various locations, but there is a theme throughout of trust, and a bond of acceptance that makes one feel welcome wherever one goes to a meeting. Therefore, I had a plan to go to Allentown with my fiancée to an NA meeting he used to go to on Saturday night, however, as things sometimes happens, this did not go as planned. Not to worry, I have learned long ago that alternative meetings can work just as well, or better. In fact, for all the meetings I have attended, I have never regretted going, or not gotten something out of it.
