In order to do this, beginning in the late nineteen seventies, pro-capitalistic states, such as Chile, Mexico, and most recognizably the United States- , and different economic institutions-such as the World Bank and the IMF- pushed for a new wave of liberalism, emphasizing revamped laissez-faire policies. As of today, Christianity and Islam are the world’s two largest and rapidly growing religions. They share an estimated 3.6 billion followers, more than half of the world’s population. Initially the two religions may seem to have nothing in common, but when you go beyond the surface and examine the rituals, beliefs, and founders, as well as the spread of both religions, they share many similarities. In many ways, there is irony in tension between Christianity and Islam, given the extremely similar history and nature of their religions. It is perhaps lost on many people who subscribe to these religions that there is no more truth to one than the other. But when observed from an objective viewpoint it is undeniable that both Christianity and Islam are remarkably similar in origin and ideology. In order to see and understand their similarities, it is important to look back to the birth and rise of both religions.

Jesus and Muhammad are two very different individuals that have kind of a similar history and at the same time a very different history. They both break off from an established religion and started their own. They had been banished by the other religions and the cities they lived in. Most religions are thought to be separate and different than any other religions. As one reads more into different religions, I saw that many of them are bits and pieces of a prior religion. These two individuals are from different religions and have done some similar things and have more things in common than are known.

The Bible is a collection of sixty books that was written by diverse of authors, including the apostles and the disciple of Jesus. The Bible divided into two Testaments; the Old and New Testament. The Old Testament or the old contract is a collection of thirty-six books and the New Testament has twenty seven books. The New Testament is a contract between God and the humanity through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Koran was written by Muhammad, a prophet of God. Muslims believed that he received a message from Angel Gabriel and wrote the Koran. However, Both the Bible and the Koran are the words of God. The Christians believe in the resurrection of Christ Jesus has the son of God while the Muslims do not believe Jesus

A desert peninsula in 6th century was the cross roads of the world, the bridge between Europe, Asia and Africa. Arabia was a vacant wasteland of desert, rarely seeing any life besides that of the trade caravans. City states dominated the political life and the only form of centralized government was in chaos. Muhammad was born in the year 570 ce and died in 623 ce. Muhammad was a man who did not have much going for him, he couldn’t read and lived in a cave with his wife at the time. The various roles of Muhammad had a significant impact on the fundamentals and growth of the Islamic religion. Upon understanding the assigned articles, an affinity is evident of the roles of Muhammad from different perspectives. According to these articles Muhammad is described as prophet who is immune to sin and a quintessential human being. This representation of Muhammad led to people wanting to follow in his steps which led to “the establishment of ritual and legal norms that, in principle, governed the habits of an emerging Islamic civilization.” The roles that seem to be the default are a messenger of God, a lawgiver, and a perfect human being. From the articles, the role of a Deity is not evident. The question if this is considered worship arises because worship is defined as expressing reverence and adoration toward a deity, not a human being.
