Compare and Contrast Essay My impending termination at my current job may seem like bad luck, but deep down, I know it’s a great opportunity for me to move my career to another level. I have a passion for helping and working with people and have always wanted to work in a hospital setting and I strongly feel, this is the time for me to work towards career goals. I am going to apply for to Parkland Memorial Hospital Dallas and Baylor Hospital Plano as a human resources specialist. Even though and first glance the hospitals seem like they operate the same, they are different in many ways. The work place is often described by many as a stressful environment, and is often penalized for failing to comply with state and federal regulations. The hospital is struggling not only to keep workers but to attract new ones. The hospital, however, has been making efforts to improve employee morale to encourage workers. Baylor Hospital on the other hand, is well known for its exceptional working standards. It is more challenging to be hired by Baylor as their employee turnover is low and they have a lot of candidates applying at a time. Baylor will allow me to have a healthy work and personal like balance with their “Own Your Schedule, Own Your Career” Program which let some employees set their schedules to their own convenience and in-case of a need arising in your department, you will be notified and will be able to choose which assignment to take.
