In the world there are many places people think of as dream locations to live. The South American country Costa Rica is considered a dream location because of their lush rainforests and ecosystems that leave tourists in awe, the country having the highest economy in any central america and their steady peaceful governing system. However all nations have their own downfalls in their country even though there appearances seem only well and a beautiful place to live. What outsiders don't see in the Costa Rica may be the high unemployment rates and lack of authority about human rights for Women and young girls. The country formed a new constitution in 1948 and it has withstood till present day. That constitution abolished a standing, active army in Costa Rica making the country neutral in all wars and fights surrounding them. It is also notable that Costa Rica is the only central american country without an army. The country hasn’t have any revolts or protests since that new constitution and the country made history in 2010 by electing the first female president Laura Chinchilla. Their overall government greatly assimilates to the United states government by having 3 branches of government the executive, Legislative, and Judicial. Going into more depth of their government Costa Rica also has a president who serves 4 years and has a vice president and a cabinet.
