Introduction
Health is one of the critical issues affecting the quality of the human lives. Good health is important to ensure better production in the society, affects the social life of an individual, and to some extent, it influences one`s occupation. Information on the other hand is the process or the medium through that people access news. It could be through the multi-media, social media or from one person to another. The information passed could be written in the languages, illustrations or could be spoken.
The manuscript seeks to address the importance of the health information in the society. The importance of the health information will be based on the relevance of the news to the individuals and to the society as a whole. The manuscript will evaluate how individuals, the professionals and the organizations use the health information. The author will explore the use of the health information to improve the provision of quality in the health sector and in the social settings in the community. Finally, the manuscript will explore the possible future of the information technology. A conclusion will be made based on the findings of the study.
The Importance of the Health Information
Health information is as broad as the medical world. The human body is many of many tissues, cells and organs that serve various purposes in the body. These organs work in a harmonious relationship to ensure the general health of the whole body. For their proper functioning, there are
The importance of providing relevant health related information to the Public Health information can be extremely useful, empowering us to make important health decisions. However, health information also can be confusing and overwhelming. Given the wealth of information available through the Internet, journals and other sources, it is important to be able to assess its quality. This can be difficult because health information is constantly changing as a result of new research and because there may be different valid approaches to treating particular conditions. In relation to obesity, information about how The Body Mass Index (BMI) can also be used as a measure to help us understand the possible complications that can occur should be
The growth of health care activities since then has truly encouraged patients to reach for information outside the confines of patient and physician interaction. Revolutionary new technology such as cell phones and computers, as well as the development of the Internet and social media sites, has served as where a vast majority of the public finds current knowledge for their problems.
When a new resident is admitted, then they need to have a new care plan. The care plan will show all the medication that they are currently on. If they have any allergies to anything. All personal clothing and possessions are listed. We list how much money they have, if it is over £20.00 then we take it to the office for safety reasons. Where it is documenated for the resident.
There are many public service announcements, advertisements, or paid social marketing that target the health field. Methods that are used in other industries that can be use in hospitals is the emergence of new technology. Technology that offer easier communication to health providers and their patient. It will also enable them to learn skills that are needed in their daily lives or future jobs. Social media has also taken a huge toll on hospitals and health systems. Generally, social media is used to communicate things outside of the work field. Today, it is use to communicate messages about current and new issues. Overall, the methods of media is one of the innovation that helps to improve communication in the health care field. It allows easy understanding through the healthcare providers and its

I will be focusing on defining a Health Information Exchange, including the aspects of the various formats; how Health Information Exchanges developed over time, including the hurdles that had to be overcome; and where Health Information Exchanges are heading, along with expected hurdles and improvements. The development has been much slower than expectations, but the future looks promising.
Consumers today have the ability to access information related to their daily lives or even information related to events happening on the opposite side of the world. However, if this same consumer needed access to his or her personal
The purpose of this project was to overview on the effects of health information technology integration (HIT). This report is mainly focused on understanding of health information technology, specifically on use of health information technology as significant use. Scope of this literature review, given the current state of health information functionality 8.
There are many components that required to building a successful framework for a new health information system. Some of these components include (1) better patient experiences through quality and satisfaction; (2) better health outcomes of populations; and (3) reduction of per capita cost of health care (Feldman, 2014, para. 3). Other designs include several levels of abstraction including mechanical (hardware), informational (software), psychological (person), and social (community). Such an inclusive approach is aimed at understanding interdependent linkages between increasingly complex social and technological components. Working together, these components consider social motivations and accomplish a set of social goals that otherwise
Health literacy skills are very necessary for people who are in the need of health information; for example, patients. Health literacy is very essential to find information and services provided by the health care providers. It is very necessary in patients for communication with the health care professionals to express their needs, preferences and also to respond to their services and treatment. It is needed to understand the treatment plan and the risks associated with it. It is helpful in processing the information provided by the healthcare professional and decision making based on that information on what treatment action meets their requirements and
In the era we are living in, the internet has become the number one source of information (it is the reason you are reading this by the way). This is due to its convenience and speed. Nowadays you no longer have to rummage through a whole library to get a book on a topic you want; just a click on your computer or phone and you are sorted. The trend is no different when it comes to health matters. It is this tendency that has led to the emergence of consumer health information that helps persons keep their health in check as well as make wise health decisions for them and their families.
“By 2015, use of a certified electronic health record (EHR) is mandated under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act” (Kelly & Tazbir, 2014, p. 129).Electronic health records comes from the electronic medical records data and where nurses document the patient’s care that has the ability to move from one provider to another. “The main purpose of documentation is facilitating information flow that supports safety, quality, and continuity of care” (Kelly & Tazbir, 2014, p. 131). Electronic health records also improves the quality of confidential health information as compared to the paper system. Informatics is defined as “the use of information technology as a communication and information-gathering tool
The author in this research paper describes that clinical information system along with electronic health records can help passive patients to become more informed, responsible, and independent in terms of managing his/her own disease and treatment schedules. Thus, contributing to the overall efficacy of treatment, patient safety and better patient compliance. In many countries, patients have the right to access their own information. The Institute of Medicine argues that “patients should have unfettered access to their own medical information”. [1] Despite the benefits of patient portals, it is not widely accepted in patient care. The reasons may be due to cultural and practical reasons. Also, due to the concerns by health care practitioners.
Effective public practices require accurate, timely, and reliable information from an extensive variety of sources. Although not well known, the public health sector was among the first to adopt computers and other relevant information technologies. The successful utilization of these systems in the provision of public health require the use of systematic and informed
From the dawn of time, the primitive beings that wandered the face of this earth have always been fascinated and curious about the perplexing human body. They have pondered upon the mysteries that lie dormant within the vessel and the potential of what it could do. Even today, after millions of years have passed, anatomists still have yet to explore the human body completely and uncover all its complexity. Along with the advancement of our knowledge in terms of anatomy and physiology, the concept of health has also evolved. In fact, the human body and health go together like peanut butter and jelly; you cannot have one without the other. Unlike the approved definition used in the past, health is much more than the “absence of disease” and having a fit body. This paper will present you my rendition of the definition of health and my personal reflections on the health-related readings presented in this course so far.
