Having a friendship with someone means always being there for them no matter what, loving them unconditionally, supporting their decisions, and just enjoying their company, right? That is what comes to mind when the word friendship enters your head. There are other types of friendships that you might not know about. Let me tell you about one of mine. I met this friend in the middle of my first year of middle school. She had moved to Duncan from Lafayette, Louisiana. We immediately started hanging out after her second day of school. We clicked quicker than anyone thought and soon became best friends. During rough times, we were there for each other. During happy times, we were there for one another. We became inseparable. We were with each other every day and …show more content…
An older boyfriend to be descriptive. I thought nothing at first. Boys in her life came and go. She started calling off plans with me to spend time with him. She started to revolve everything around him. I felt unimportant in her life, but did not speak up for some time. He soon became manipulative, crazy, and very controlling. She lost a lost of friends at this time. She still stayed with him, saying she loved him and could not leave him. This went on for months. Her boyfriend and I fought constantly to the point where I told her. I could not be in her life anymore. But of course, I did not stick to my word. I was in and out of her life for the next 6 months of her being with him. I hated him and wanting nothing to do with him. He was verbally abusive, did not have his priorities straight, and treated her like she was his property. But, I still had hope and I did not want to lose her. He eventually broke up with her claiming he could not trust her. After that devastating heartbreak, I was there for her. A month or so later, she moved on to a boy 3 years older than us. She started replacing me with people, but I still was in the background, there for her. I felt very worthless
Helen Keller once stated that “Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.” Friendship can be defined in many different ways. For example a four year old might say that a friend is the other boy that gave him a cookie. While an adult says someone to talk and relate to when they need it. They are also formed in a plethora of ways. For instance, the two four year olds could grow up staying friends, or you meet some random person in the supermarket and start talking, or even through another friend. Friends are part of what makes life fun, being able to enjoy the joyous times with another person, and lean on them in the challenging times.

The word friendship is determined in many different ways. Webster's Dictionary defines friendship as a friendly relation, or attachment, to a person, or between persons. In order to have a friendship, a friend is needed. A friend is described as a person who has a strong liking for and trust in another. As there are many definitions for the word friendship, everyone has their own personal definition of what a real friendship is. My personal definition of friendship is someone who will be there no matter what the circumstances are. Also, a real friendship should have no judgment, trust, and equal effort. I would define a friend as someone who is loyal, dependable, and always there in a time of need. However, friendship differs between people. For example, the friendship between someone and their parents would be different with someone their own age. A friendship can exist between best friends, friends, acquaintances, lovers, children, parents, siblings, and much more. However, all of these types of friendships are different.
The best kind of friendship are the ones where you aren’t afraid or embarrassed doing anything in front of them. You don’t feel like you would get judged or you could say anything without hesitation. I had that friendship for a while, for years actually. All my memories were filled with laughs and smiles when it came to her.
To define friendship is not easy. It is so many things and so many feelings. It is kindness, compassion, honesty, trustworthiness, respect and dependability. It is being there for another person when they need you, whether to listen or to help guide them in the right direction. It is standing beside them when it is their time to shine and also when

A situation in which two people are friends, this is the definition of friendship by Cambridge dictionary. Another dictionary defines friendship as the state of being a friend. Some of you might have noticed that the meaning is really vague.
Friendship is a relationship that individuals enter into by choice. Just because you know someone does not necessarily mean that you are friends with them. You can converse with someone and just be acquainted with them. Friendship is mutual.
Friendship can be described in many ways. Friendship can mean love, loyalty or even fun. For me friendship is more of loyalty. Loyalty for me is very important in a friendship because, like everyone has their own secrets that wants to share with someone of confidence or that are loyal to you. But for example their is many people that they pass themselves by being great and loyal friends. Until one day, that you have revealed your secrets to that person maybe that, that person goes and tell everybody else. But, otherwise i have this friend that has been with me since day one. She became like my sister to me she has always helped me with things and has always kept my secrets safe, her name is Ashley just like i've always kept her secrets safe
My definition of friendship is when you are honest, nice and trustworthy. Yes friendships have limits because you need to be honest you don't need to be dishonest in a friendship. You need to be nice in a friendship and you don’t need to be rude. Also in a friendship you need to be trustworthy you don’t need to be untrustworthy. An example of friendship is when you tell your friend something and tell them not to tell know one and they don't.
Friendship is not simply a "relationship", knowing someone, conversing with that person, or dealing with that person in business, school, or in casual acquaintance. True friendship is not just a "relationship", but self-sacrificing love. A friend is also one who supports, sympathizes, and is a person in whom you can confide. There are unique qualities that a person must have to be considered a friend.
Imagine your sole confidante, childhood playmate, personal comedian and physiologist disclosing your secrets to a stranger. Unfortunately, this stranger happens to be the person who enforce a form of punishment for the actions that were once a secret. Furthermore, this confidante is considered your friend. Does an instance of this friend disclosing your secret of immoral activities to a person of authority violate the success of the friendship? In fact, this act is not a violation of the laws of friendship. The ideas of friendship are subjective, and thus where you might think your friend’s actions are unjust, your friend is actually looking out for your best interest and security. Also, a good friend would not desire
