Fear is a deep emotion that runs havoc on your brain and organs. When you encounter a fearful situation, your brain feels like it is in some type of trouble, sending signals through your nervous system. All humans have fear. Those who have authority however, are trained on how to face many of their fears, but there are a few scenarios they cannot control.
For instance, let's say you are police officer. You deal with dangerous people on daily while on the job. You know that during this time you need to keep you eyes peeled for suspicious activity. Once you are off the clock you go home and let guard down. That alone increases your chances of encountering a fearful situation. One example of a fearful encounter is a burglary.

When in a frightening situation, such as being scared for a biology test, or having a burglar break into your house, you react using fear. It is a healthy fear because when someone is scared they know they need to react to the threatening issue. This healthy fear can become unhealthy if it is too strong. When recalling past incidents and injecting them into the current situation, this is an unhealthy fear because it changes how people will behave towards something or someone after being scared once before. Fear always follows right behind the corner and is one step ahead and is different for each individual.
I am scared of open heights with even the slightest chance of slipping. The reason I am terrified of open heights is because you are facing death. One wrong move and you will be closer to the ground, only not in the way you expected. Although I am terrified of open heights, I still crave the adventure and adrenaline rush you get from it as you are climbing next to a steep cliff. It is the ability to identify danger and make a choice to either confront that fear or flee from the situation like for example, if you were to break a vase, you would hide from your parents. According to my dictionary, Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. When the word "fear" comes to my mind, I think of an emotion that's caused by a bad situation. There are many things in this world that put fear in me. My greatest fears are computer viruses, thugs, sick people, and clowns. Each of these fears make me very scared and give me goosebumps.
