The first wedding that I planned was in no way a traditional wedding. Ten eager little girls decorated the printed invitations with sequins, buttons, and markers. The same energetic hands prepared the wedding feast, consisting of bagged lunches, blintz souffle, and of course a layer cake. On the big day I looked around with excitement. Again, I noticed something odd about this wedding. All the participants and guests appeared about four feet high. The "groom" had long hair pinned up with brown lines on her face (was that supposed to be a beard?) The wedding location, a back yard with a swing set and a wading pool, seemed far from romantic. This wedding however was not supposed to be one of those types of weddings. As I pressed the
"PLAY" button on the tape recorder I knew that ten 4-6- year-old girls cared deeply about this wedding. Despite the absence of a reason for celebration, I pulled all the girls into the circle and we started dancing and clapping to the music. The energy that went into the preparation on previous days could finally be appreciated. My campers and I not only celebrated the accomplishment of the mock wedding, we celebrated the fun and excitement we experienced for the first three weeks in Camp Glitter Girls. I had begun preparing for Camp Glitter Girls over four months before by budgeting, sending out fliers, confirming registration and finally making sure that every camper would have the time of her life. As I danced, I celebrated
We burst out of the door, unveiling ourselves to the crowd outside. We felt like rock stars. Everyone had to get a few more pictures with other friends as they arrived and then we filed inside. The place was decorated from top to bottom, glittered stars hung from the ceiling, white Christmas lights twinkled all around, and glimmering gowns in every color made the entire venue sparkle. As a class, months earlier, we had chosen the theme, “I’ve had the time of my life”. The girls had pulled it from our favorite movie, “Dirty Dancing”, and I think the boys just went with it. We sat down for dinner where we were served our choice of meat, with rice or potatoes and a medley of veggies. Nobody ate much though, either because of nerves, vanity, or just plain desire to get to showing off our best moves, we wanted to boogie! After about an hour the tables were cleared off of the dance floor and it was time to the highly anticipated partying. The DJ played the hottest jams of 1999 and we danced the night away. Most of the girls were in their bare feet, unable to take the pain of high heels any longer as we busted our best moves.
She also explains how one night about eleven o’clock in Las Vegas she watched a bride in an orange mini-dress and masses of flame-colored hair stumble from a Strip chapel on the arm of her bridegroom who looked the part of the expendable nephew in movies like Miami Syndicate such as the bride whimpered. All the day and evening long on the Strip, people see real wedding parties while waiting under harsh lights at a crosswalk standing uneasily in the parking lot of the Frontier as the photographers take photos of the event. The Church of the West certifies the event by taking the photos of the bride in a veil and white satin pumps. Most bridegrooms usually have a white dinner jacket, an attendant, flirtation veil and a carnation nosegay.
“Once the music began, I was fortunate enough to hit every beat. It was amazing. My cheer coach was extremely proud of my whole squad. I was proud of myself as well.” As Claire stated this, her eyes seemed to light up with joy.
The bride was given a chest with table settings in pure gold for twenty-four guests. They also brought in a ballet company and two waltz orchestras. " (44)
Even if people modern day enjoy doing sizable events, years ago, it wasn’t the larger things that mattered. All what was needed were the simpler things in life. Weddings didn’t have to be fully planned out with a huge dress and venue. Occasions were special to just be
Matron of honor was, Taylor Davenport, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Kara James and Kinsley Milender, cousins of the bride; Fallon Craigge, Madison Craigge, Jayci Evans, and Dianna Goins, all friends of the bride. The flower girls were Jolee Isbell, daughter of the bride’s best friend; Kashlyn James and Aubrey Lopp, cousins of the bride.
While the wedding day is eagerly anticipated by wedding party members and key stakeholders; it is important to continue generating excitement to other guests
there was so many people out there seating in their seats clapping cheering it was amazing. When we start dancing there where so much enthusiasm going through my body I felt exuberant! The stage lights on was perfect with music and the people in their seats cheering, clapping, and really, enjoying themselves and I loved every minute of it. It made me feel special that I was part of something great. Finally, my dream came true to dance and to dance in front of a lot of people and I knew right there that this was not going be my last performance. After we were done, my group and I told each other how much we were proud of each other. Then later we all meet up with our parents and went home with smiles on are faces because it was the best moment of my
This concludes to the door being shut and a feast that would last seven days for the bride and the groom would commence. All guest would be provided garments for festivity and all would be dancing for the bride and groom who would be treated like a queen and a king, wearing garments of celebration without doing anything just watching the festivity the drinking of wine and once in a while join dancing . The ruler of the feast who has responsibility for all preparation and

Marriage is a significant social event in contemporary society. It is a means of building new bonds between two individuals and their subsequent families. The foundations of memorable weddings are built on those that bring often-distant family and friends together for the occasion, while dressed in their most sophisticated attire, surrounded by elegant flowers, a night of dancing, captured through the lens of an exceptional photographer. Although Hinduism and Islam are two extremely distinctive religions, their matrimonial customs do share some comparable elements, like most other cultural wedding ceremonies. In both religions, they are devotedly obedient concerning religious and cultural practices in their marital ceremonies.
When Saturday came, I did not know I would feel confused or fell as out of place as I did. However, on the way to the church I figured this would be the typical wedding, where they would say their vows and the preacher would say “you may kiss the bride”, then I could make it home to watch the end of the buckeye’s game. Nevertheless, this is not how the wedding would go.
We all sat down and talked. We talked about how everyone has been. My sisters school and my brothers new job. While we were talking there was another knock on the door. I went to go open the door and it was the pizza and the wings. I payed for them and grabbed the boxes and walked into the kitchen where my family was. Everyone was really hungry but my family really wanted me to see the big surprise they got for me. SO we agreed we would go outside to see what they got me. We went outside when I saw what they got me I almost cried in joy. My family got me the same looking motorcycle that was on my cake. It was a black Kawasaki Ninja 2017. It had a nice leather seat. The lights were bright white and it was really shinny. But I had one question.
