Wenshang County is located in the southwest of Shandong Province and most areas in the plains. The county has a total of 710 thousand people and with a total area of 877 square kilometers. The county belongs to the north temperate continental monsoon humid climate zone with abundant sunshine and distinct seasons.
Wenshang County has a long history, profound culture and beautiful environment, known as the Chinese Buddha. The first scenic spot is Wenshang Bao Temple. For thousands of years, with the temple as a Buddhist shrine, attracted many celebrities come to worship. Baoxiang temple has a pagoda, called the spirit Prince Zonta. Modern day Chinatown is a vibrant and bustling community full of bright colors and Chinese characters adorning buildings as far as the eye can see. Chinese elders roam around the narrow and unkempt streets while children frolic around from store to store with wide smiles, riffling through toy stores as store owners look on. Mothers scurry from store to store searching for the most tender meats to buy for the night's dinner or for the next day's lunch. Tourists from nearby downtown drift into the heart of Chinatown with large and expensive cameras, posing for pictures with Lion head statues and continue on, buying cheap Chinatown goods along the way. Earlier this week we focused on ancient eastern China during the Han Dynasty and the east asian philosophies that arose during this time period. We reviewed three great asian philosophers, Confucius, Lao Tzu, and Buddha. In class we also picked from a list of quotes from these three philosophers a quote they said that really resonated with us and wrote a descriptive essay on it and shared it in class for extra credit.

Each year, the Chicago River is dyed green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, Illinois is one of the few free zoos in the United States. The Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in North America with 1,100 animals from about 200 different species. I chose to write about Chicago because one day I hope to live in that city with its great attractions.

As the eighth and most famous emperor of the Song Dynasty of China, Emperor Huizong ruled the capital from the years 1100 to 1125 where his love of peace of Taoism was brought to life through his teachings and later in scripted into a painting, now known as one of the most famous paintings in Chinese History. The ‘Along The River During The Qingming Festival’ was painted by Chinese artist Zhang Zeduan in the year 1100 – 1120. With its indication of Emperor Huizong’s love, peace, and prosperity, this painting has indicated the way in which Chinese people find peace throughout the triumphs and trials of love.
China has about five thousand years history which is a very long period of time. Also, the Chinese civilization was growing with these periods of time and it will continues greater than ever. Many wars and unhappinesses were happening during this period. Although, the time has passed, the histories and the civilizations have not passed. These family virtues, serious, working attitudes, sense of justice and the great Confucian tradition have been deeply assimilated into the Chinese people. When one observes the progression of visual arts through the Song Dynasty, landscape painting established itself as the most prevalent and important of the multitude of forms in this genre. Close examination of entertainment reveals that the dramatic arts, with emphasis on shadow-puppeteering, became the most enjoyed form of amusement in the Song Dynasty.
