Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Theodore Roosevelt are very influential individuals in the political development of the United States of America and are key to the history of the US. There are several differences and similarities between Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Theodore Roosevelt. Franklin Delano Roosevelt [FDR], was a Democrat and the 32nd President of the United States. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the thirty-second president of the United States, was a central figure for the United States in the 20th Century. While leading his country out of The Great Depression, he also led the nation through World War II. Herbert Hoover, the thirty-first President, led the country during the Great Depression and his policies enforced at that time eventually led to his downfall because of their inability to end the downward economic spiral. The day after his inauguration he right away took decisive action by proclaiming a Bank Holiday and on March 9th Congress passes Roosevelt’s Emergency Banking Act, putting brakes on the continuing of collapsing banks. Throughout the ages there have been many great leaders. These leaders are powerful in many ways, with a strong control over the people, and a place in history. But who would have guessed that two cousins would be some of the greatest government figures ever? Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Theodore Roosevelt, both American presidents, both American Heroes. Without these dignitaries, the American advancement into the present day would be incomplete and/or impossible. They gave people hope through hard times and the spirit to protect their country and one another.
Now that we have taken the time to look at the personal lives of Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt, lets look at the similarities that these two men share. From looking at their backgrounds, the first thing that we see in conjoint between these men, is, as young boys they were both fond of learning. Which ultimately, lead them both to attend Envy-League Colleges. Furthermore, while attending these schools, they both got degrees in law. After graduating, Wilson and Roosevelt got into politics, where they both ran as Demonstrates and became Presi-dent of the United States. While in office they both faced many challenges. However, despite those trials, they both rose above them. In addition to over coming, their own personal tribula-tions they both created acts and policies that effected and changed America significantly.
What made Theodore Roosevelt such a great president and person? Many people aspire to be like him, but he sets a high bar for humanity. He is in many people's opinions one of the greatest presidents of the United States, so incredible that his face is set in stone and will be for hundreds of years in the future.
Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt were two of America’s great presidents. This is why I feel that both men were equally important in what they did and said they would do. Both in their own ways have added a little of what makes this country what it is today. Both had their own beliefs of how reform, empowerment of the people and foreign policy should be accomplished. As president, the main goal was to do what they felt best for the American people. In doing so, how different could they really be?

President Franklin D. Roosevelt and President William Clinton had similar and contrasting viewpoints on domestic policy. Both presidents took office which there was an economic struggle and unemployment was low. Also, the unemployment rate was declining, business’s were going bankrupt and an international crisis they had to deal with to maintain free trade. President Roosevelt had the more severe circumstances with the Great Depression that occurred because of the Stock Market crash in 1929, and fighting a two front in World War II. When President Roosevelt took office, the unemployment rate was 25 %, which is historically the worst depression in history.
