Now the first incision to the skin behind
The book, finding fish, is a poignant autobiography of the life of Antwone Quenton Fisher, an African American boy who suffered a tumultuous childhood in a foster care setting. He was born on 8-3-1959 in a Cleveland prison to Eva Mae Fisher. She was incarcerated for the shooting death of his father, her boyfriend at the time, Eddie Elkins. Initially, he spent his first few weeks of his life in a Cleveland orphanage. Then he was fostered by a wonderful woman named Mrs. Nellie Strange. She lovingly cared for him for two years. in both stories "Broken Chain" by Gary Soto and "Fish Cheeks" by Amy Tan there is a common theme that people think they need to change their appearances to belong. in "Broken Chain" the main character, Alfonso, thinks he needs to change his appearance to feel like he belongs with his friends. He wants to appear tougher so the guys he hangs out with will like him more.in the beginning of broken chain "Alfonso sat on the porch trying to push his crooked teeth to where he thought they belong"(Soto 1). this shows how Alfonso thinks he needs to change his appearance to belong with his friends.he later spends extra time to clean his bike before going to Sandra's house.his chain breaks preventing him from taking his shiny bike to see her.he is upset
Flight time was analyzed for six total serves, 3 jump serves and 3 standing overhand serves. Flight time was discovered using the running clock tool on Dartfish Analysis Software. Table 1 displays the summarized findings of flight time of 3 jumps serves and 3 standing overhand serves.
Since many measures of analysis were found for pre- and post-operatory hearing outcomes (scales and tests), rendering it difficult to compare the results of each author.
Similarly, both writings of "Fish Cheeks," and, "Broken Chain," share a similar theme. These stories from Gary Soto and Amy Tan both have a theme of belonging or caring about what others think. Amy Tan yearns to fit in an American society since she had her Chinese culture while Alfonso cared about what his peers thought of him and how he wanted to fit in. Both stories' main points and themes were about the progress of their desire to fit in and their worries about other people's thoughts.
When I read fish cheeks article, I really do understand the frustration she felt. When you are trying to blend with culture different than yours; it could be really hard, but otherwise i have enjoyed reading the the article. It kept me engaged with story, the way she started of with talking about the features of her crush, and then she started to question her culture and his culture. Then she started to talk about the dinner, and how would it be not appetizing for her crush.
In Amy tans short stories Rules of the Game, Fish Cheeks, and Two Kinds part of the novel the Joys Luck Club uses topics concerning the limits and connections in the relationships between mothers and their daughters. In an Asian society, especially Chinese society assumes a vital part in every one of the three short stories, giving the primary conflict an interesting plot. Amy Tans short stories for the most part depict the inconveniences and strain between Chinese immigrant moms and their Americanized daughters through their common experiences in a captivating way. The daughters disregard the Chinese part of their heritage and personality and grasp the American side. They ponder their adolescence up with solid order and desires that the greater part of them have not met prompting future blame. Presently as developed ladies with their own particular families, the Americanized daughters mirror the past with contradictions they had with their Chinese society. Every daughter in the story’s in the long run perceives how their tradition and generation had huge influence in forming their characters making them grasp their Chinese legacy.
After reading Fish In A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, I have learned that Ally is a dynamic character. At the beginning of the book, Ally is stubborn. Eventually, Ally becomes brave through the middle of the story. At the very end of the story, Ally becomes confident. These character traits were observed through Ally’s actions, dialogue, relationships, choices and problems. I have learned that the main character Ally is to never give up and don’t let anyone bug you. Meaning don’t let anyone bully you or make you want to give up. Whenever I want to give up, I think of the book Fish In A Tree and how Ally never gave up and was brave to stand up for her friends.
Catch and release fishing is something that I do a lot. I love to catch fish but some of my favorite fish to catch, are not good to eat, or I just do not like . So, for the fish that are not good to eat, you have to release or they just go to waste. But, the redfish and trout that I catch, are good to eat, so every once in awhile I will keep two or three. But, John Schandelmeier in the article “Catch--and-release fishing:cruel and unusual punishment?” states that catch and release fishing is bad.

For Kelly’s surgery doctors decided to permanently implant electrodes into her ear, by attaching an electrode array into the inner ear (cochlea) and a receiver which is placed behind the ear. By doing this each device will be connected to a magnet and an antenna making sound signals channel through her brain. Overall Kelly’s surgery is successful and with speech therapy Kelly is able to talk and hear noises that she was not really able to before.
The success of speech therapy intervention is dependent on successful surgical correction. The authors note that postsurgical complications may include stiffness due to scar tissue decreasing the flexibility of the velum, tethering of the velum, weakness of the velum, and shrinking of the velar tissues. The authors also note the risk of malocclusion as the child grows and the palate continues to grow and develop.

The woman is the focal point of the work. She is instantly the firs thing you see when you look at this piece. She is contrasted in a way that makes her one of the lightest elements of the piece. Her skin tone is even and pale, much lighter than the other colors and contrasts in the piece. Also, the majority of the lines point to her. The directionality of the fish, tigers, and gun are all pointing at her. Even if you begin by looking at the pomegranate, your eyes are lead to the woman. The vertical lines of the elephant’s legs even point to the woman.
To begin with the treatment is “invasive, brutal, and irreversible.”() The surgery requires physical aspects of the patient to be removed, changed, or rearranged. Which in will turn cause massive amounts of pain to the patient. When the process is completed
