Abraham Lincoln once said, “The strongest bond of human sympathy outside the family relation should be one uniting working people of all nations and tongues and kindreds.” For an organization to work well it has to have a diversity of people, good communication with all the employees, and to be organized in a way that is effective and efficient to function properly.
I currently work at the Turlock Junior High School (TJHS). It is an organization that is composed of the administrative staff, teachers, classified staff and students. To be able to function, each branch has diverse group of people working together to make TJHS a better place for children to learn. TJHS has employees with different cultural

The staff helps the students get familiar with the school’s process, schedule and what is expected from each student.
Since each branch has different job tasks, communication is very essential among all the branches. For example, if the administration staff does not inform the teachers about a mandatory meeting, the teachers would not know about it and will not attend the meeting. Therefore, the teachers will be reprimanded for not attending without being at fault. And as well if the teacher does not inform the administrator staff about a field trip, the administrator staff will panic when the students are not present in the school.
The school must organize in a way that it can function properly. According to Schermerhorn, J. Hunt, J. and Osborn, R. an organization must “consider short-term and long-term performance” and it also “requires a commitment to continuous and lifelong learning from one’s work and everyday experiences.” And must also a motto of belief in which the school is based upon. At TJHS the motto is “take pride in what you do.” This motto is to be used by all the employees and the students.
Turlock Junior High School takes pride in having a diversity of staff and students, providing communication among all, and being organized to be able function accurately. Carl Rogers said “If we value independence, if we are disturbed by the growing conformity of knowledge, of values, of attitudes, which our present system induces, then we may wish to set

No two humans are alike. People are different not only in gender, culture, race, social and psychological characteristics but also in their perspectives and prejudices. Society had discriminated on these aspects for centuries. Women and minority groups were denied of their due rights. But not any more. Since 1960s, when federal legislation prohibited employment discrimination, minorities and female applicants have become the fastest-growing segment in the work force. Diversity makes the work-force heterogeneous. The work-force diversity used in the corporate world today is the varied characteristics of employees working in same organization. Despite the magnitude of the ethical, legal, economic, social, and political
Through this strategy, barriers to essential services would be unlocked and the potential for social integration enhanced. Additionally, it was hoped that building capacity in the asylum and refugee community, would increase opportunities for individuals to grow their skills, knowledge and competencies as well as their income earning potential.
“We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin, but we are all human race” - Kofi Annan. This quote said by Kofi Annan explains perfectly how not all people have to be of the same background or even the same culture but everyone is still a human being so you can not treat them as any less. America is a melting pot because of all the different cultures in the US today. Also, the US is working on rights for all by making it more convenient for people who do not speak English to have the same rights. While some people believe diversity separates a country, it can be argued that diversity creates unity because today the US is a melting pot, and they are working on rights for all.
While diversity amongst families in America has been an ongoing problem in regards to immigrants, is their presence ambivalent to what people feel about immigration; or does it pose a threat to our society in terms of financial setbacks. Although, many American’s today feel immigration is a severe issue in today’s society, others feel that their presence actually benefits us in many way’s; creating a comforting financial contribution to society rather than hardship. So, why do some Americans feel threatened by the presence of others, from other origins; other than their own. That’s because these immigrants cross the borders illegally in hopes of a new found freedom, while coming her to look for help through that of government assistance for
“It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.” ― Maya Angelou.
As Texas' first Aggie governor and as someone who was twice elected Yell Leader of Texas A&M University, I am deeply troubled by the recent conduct of A&M's administration and Student Government Association (SGA) during the Aggie student-body president elections for 2017-2018.
Hope all of you like the project and get the contact information from your teammates!!! Trust me, it will be so much fun. I still remember my project from last year and because me and my teammates put lots of effort into it, we actually won the first prize. Be creative and feel free to ask me or Jamie any question.
Every time I hear the word diversity I watch as people around me shift their eyes to the brown faces in the room, mine included. I know what they’re thinking, “If an African-American person is in the room, how much more diverse can we be?” The truth is that, embodying diversity does not end with race. Diversity can often be accomplished by taking initiative, creating, or submerging yourself, in new programs, experiences, and cultures. This Spring I chartered the first chapter of the Pre-Law Division of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) at my university. At Indiana University I noticed a need for a minority focused pre-law organization and decided to take action. Through BLSA I am hoping to encourage minority students to attend law school and increase the number of competitive minority law school applicants.
Imagine being rejected for who you are. Imagine working harder than most for a dream position, because you are both a woman and African American, and finding out you have to take classes to be eligible. So, you go to court because the segregated school denies access to day-time classes, making you resort to night time classes, called for by the judge. You were separated from your peers and put into an unpleasant situation just because you had a different skin color. Or, in a different scenario, you are a brilliant scientist that found a way to win the war for the Allies, but your accomplishment is not recognized for decades because your sexual orientation was viewed as a disease. Unfortunately, these are not fabricated scenarios, but real examples of struggles that people have faced in the past. These two people, Mary Jackson and Alan Turing, respectfully, fought their own battle in order to gain acceptance within society. Although these were two specific situations in which there was resentment and unjust treatment, there have been many more circumstances like these in the past and present. The harsh reality is that if we, as a society, do not take the necessary measures to address people with diverse backgrounds, this is what our future will look like as well. Diversity has always been important, but it is evident that it has been met with push back. While the country has boasted about the ability for any person to have the freedom to prosper and be happy, it seems as if those ideals were reserved only for the straight White people. Over time, society has evolved so that people of different races and sexual orientations outside the standard mold have become increasingly more accepted and viewed equally. We must continue on this path to acceptance and understanding in order to rectify for what has been wronged in the past.

This quote means to me that a person’s character is measured not only when they are in a state of success, but more so when they face adversity. Everyone has their personal strengths and weaknesses, but one’s character can’t be solely based on their attitude and disposition during the easier times in their life. Although people may not be in the best state of mind during times that they are struggling, that is when they can demonstrate skills to fight for themselves and make the best out of the situation.
Organizations with wide range of diversity face a lot of challenges. Some of those challenges are:
A well-equipped, qualified staff that puts students first, exhibits strong leadership, a passion for learning, and a commitment to success for every student,
What is diversity? Diversity is when you have a group of different races and cultures come together in one setting. I think that diversity is something that everyone should be introduced to at some point of his or her life. Diversity is a concept that has played a very important role in my life, especially growing up in a community that wasn’t very diverse and switching to a community that school system embraced diversity to the fullest. By having diversity introduced into my life though out my high school years I was able to expect change as an good thing and realize that race is a physical trait and doesn’t make you who you are, delvop an new thought process and new views and I was able to comfortably interact with people different from
