Do you think kids should wear uniforms to school?
Children all around the world have been asked this question some said we should wear uniforms to keep us striving towards more education and some said that they think it would take away our self expressions through fashion. I think we should wear uniforms to keep us in tact with learning, stop bullying, and less discrimination.
If we were to wear uniforms to school i think that it would help us focus more on our education. I think that because if we always are worried about how we look going to school we will get distracted from the real reason we are here- to learn.
Wearing school uniforms maybe could stop less bullying. I think that because some bullies tend to pick on
If schools do so there will w a better learning environment. If schools require uniforms students will not spend as much time laying out their outfits each night. Students would not struggle with self-image as much, since everyone would be wearing the same outfit. Garland states, “Kids from modest backgrounds could stand out because of their personalities and intelligence, rather then being tagged as losers because they can’t wear the season’s hottest sneakers or jeans (621). I agree with Garland not everyone can afford new clothes every season, so if
There are many students that go to school with low self esteems and thinking that they are not as good as others just because of their clothing. This problem could be reduced for many kids with school uniforms. Example a school in southern California made it mandatory for all student “k-8” to where a school uniform. From 1933 to 1995 the conduct had major improvement after going to school uniforms (Riley). That is a fact showing that school uniforms have an impact of student life. Another highly talked about topic is bullying, bullying can come from many things but one of the reasons student pick on other students is because of their clothing. With school uniforms every student will not have to worry about having the name brand clothing which means that puts all students on a level field. So if all kids are dressed the same that would decrease a big problem known as bullying and would also increase students self esteem.
NO I don't think we should not were uniforms. Because some people do not like to were them you may also have to buy them some people don't have abuch of money. You cant even express your self. you are all wearing the same things you make get miss called by your name. That why I think why we should not were uniforms
The First reason that I think kids should not wear uniforms is that kids sometimes have their taste in clothing they want to express on what they feel by wearing their own styles. Because sometimes kids can tell when someone is depressed and you can tell by the way they dress like if they wear black that means that they are depressed about something.
Requiring school uniforms eliminates the chances of bullying. Bullies usually pick on kids based on what they wear. With the use of uniforms, everyone will be wearing the same clothes, not allowing the bullies to pick people out by their choice of clothing. Even those making fun of others would be wearing the same clothes as
In summary, schools should not have uniforms. They do not allow students to express themselves. Also, they teach conformity over individuality. In addition to being useless in schools, they do not improve attendance, academic preparedness, or test results. Really, they do not improve anything. If you were a principal, would you enforce a uniform
School uniforms also serve little to no purpose in benefiting the education of children around America. A uniform does not help a student learn things that they need to know. A uniform does not help a student study, take notes, or make flash cards. They bring no educational value to the table of learning. According to many educators and experts, “Uniforms do not improve academics, behavioral and social outcomes, or reduce discrimination or crime” (Farrell). So if a uniform cannot help a student increase their knowledge or grow as a person, why make students wear them?
Kids from grades 4 to 12 should have to wear school uniforms. School uniforms help to decrease behavioral problems by increasing school safety and decreasing the risk of violence and theft. School uniforms also have a big impact on bullying. School uniforms also decrease bullying. School uniforms also act as social equalizers. If school uniforms were mandatory in all schools it would increase punctuality. Overall school uniforms make school a more enjoyable, safer and nicer learning environment. The following reasons below will support my argument.
Most people don't want to wear school uniforms. Most school uniforms are ugly, and itchy. When you go to school and everyone is wearing the same thing then the students ,and teachers would get confused and would not be able to tell students from
Some people might think that kids should not wear uniforms in school, however I believe that kids should because of four reason they should. Kids won’t get made fun of in school because of their clothes. One piece of evidence is that they have the same clothes. The next reason is that it does not take much time to pick the clothes that you have.
School uniforms should definitely be used in school systems. Uniforms are both good for schools as well as for the students. Wearing uniforms will help build a sense of unity within the school. Instead of everyone as a separate team, everyone will be in the same team. Wearing uniforms will help free students of the stress of what to wear in the morning. Wearing school uniforms will help improve student individuality and improve their self-esteem.
I personally disagree about getting uniforms for our schools because I don't think everybody would feel comfortable wearing clothing they don't want to wear. We wear things we want for a reason, not to look good for others, not to impress anybody, but to be ourselves. Just by changing our schools dress code is not going to change our school's environment or students. Most of us would rather come to school dressing in their normal clothes everyday rather than go to school in clothing every other student is wearing.
While wearing uniforms, students have to obey and follow the rules, so they will learn how to respect others. An article reports “Teachers and principals often report that discipline problems are reduces in schools that implements a standardized dress program.” (School Uniforms). In addition, wearing school uniforms is a step of preparation for professional life. When you have a job, you will have to wear uniforms. Whether you are a doctor or a nurse, you are in the same position. School uniforms also help students to realize that they are a part of a group, so they feel liked they belong and learn to take responsibility for whatever they do.
Uniforms in schools are a big debate around the world. Should we have uniforms in schools? The answer is yes because uniform help the schools. They bring to table a great deal of help because students are getting bullied, killed, and some may not have as much as other when shopping for clothes. Having uniforms bring safety to schools and what goes on after school.
School uniforms can make life also easier for the parents. Some parents might struggle with money and with having uniforms it can make it easier on the parents because they don’t need to buy as much clothes, they can just keep washing them and reusing them. Majority of all private schools have school uniforms and it would be a good idea to just make all schools that way. Another pro to school uniforms is if there was an intruder or someone that does not belong to that school you will be able to tell easily. The common argument against uniforms is that they limit self expression but there are other ways you can express yourself. Not only can you express yourself in your personality but you can join other clubs to be involved and express yourself in them. With uniforms there is different options on what style/brand/color you would like to wear it doesn’t just limit you to one color and style.
