All leaders and supervisors, Can anyone explain to me why a EGGCRATE OVERLAY 32X73X was located in the shower in the male lavatory shower area. This was seen early Thursday morning, June 9, 2016 when I arrived at 0600 . We had 57 in the inventory system and Main operation and sterile processing had only 2 eggcrates in E-leg. What is going on. We as leaders must pay more attention to leg maintenance. We have wet pads for the shower usage.
Everyone is likely to experience some form of discrimination or prejudice; as is anyone capable of acting prejudiced towards others. On April 5th, 1968, a teacher in Riceville, Iowa named Jane Elliot conducted an experiment with her third grade class that dealt with the concept of discrimination; and was documented in Peters’ 1985 ‘A Class Divided’. The exercise originally took place the day after Martin Luther King was assassinated. The documentary is an eye opener to the world of racism and discrimination. Bucher (2010) describes racism as “discrimination based on the belief that one race is superior to another” (97). According to Bucher (2010) “discrimination is defined as the
Looking back at the first couple days in ENC 1101 I was absolutely overwhelmed and stressed about the amount of essay’s that were going to be done. I looked at the syllabus which provided all the work that was going to be done and I wanted to jump of a bridge. Not being fully prepared in high school didn’t help me with my panic. I truly felt in the beginning that it was going to be too hard and I was not going to make it. Through the class I learned many things, the first paper was a minor headache but it really helped me with thoughts, how an essay supposed to flow, and the style of a paper. Once I received a grade for the first paper, I was actually stunned and motivated. Being on the right track opened up my mind and I felt confident going
Before I began this course I thought that I was a really good writer and that I would strive in ENC 1101 with ease. I assumed this because I was always getting good grades in my previous English courses in high school. Most of my papers in high school I had got a high B or an A. But I got a big awakening when I turned in my first paper in ENC 1101. This is because I had assumed that I was going to get a good grade because I thought I had answered all the things that were listed on the rubric that you handed us. When I received my first paper back I was on the borderline tears that I had got a C. At first I did not understand what I had did wrong. After going back and looking at my teacher's comments I realized that I needed to provided more
Maybe you realize that you've taken 365 showers in the last year and getting rid of the tub will create some much-needed room. Perhaps your shower cubicle is showing its age. Then again, you may just want to create something that expresses your own style.
A text is the content in a message or any printed material. There are basic ways that are used in reading to make the learner gain, retain, and understand the content. For instance, one way is by applying the top, down, and bottom up strategy; which people use in their native language. Reading involves, previewing, predicting, skimming and scanning, guessing and paraphrasing (Tsai 120).
During the whole situation from the moment we pulled up out side the house I was very nervous and wanting to give a good impression only made this worse. Once we had entered the house and met Tom I calmed down a little. I was surprised at my own reaction of distaste when I entered the house and encounter a grumpy drunk so early in the morning; I had no prior knowledge of his situation (Claire later informed me that his wife had recently divorced him and he was having difficulties coping).
Hello my dear friend! I hope you are doing well. I am just writing to let you know that I finally started my semester at STCC. As you know, I missed the last two semesters due to situations that got out of my hands. I have a new job, but I also switched to Liberal Arts. At the moment, I am enrolled as a full-time student. My husband says I might regret it, because it can get overwhelming for me due to the language barrier, and having too much in my plate. Although, he might be right about having too much; I will do my best to finish this semester with good grades. One of the classes I signed up to is History-110, section E80. My professor’s name is John Diffley. I do not know him yet since it is my first week in school, but he seems to love
Throughout this paper, I will inform you of ENC 1101 from why I’m nervous about taking this class and what is causing me to worry. I will tell you about two references from the syllabus that stood out to me and why. Last I will advise you if I’m ready for this course and if I feel I’m prepared.
The doctor of nursing practice (DNP) professional, regarding care of the general population, must consider many situations that may alter the delivery of effective medical treatments. In the beginning of this class we reviewed many of those situations with greater focus on the vulnerability populations. Preventive care remains by far the best interventions for this group. The prepared DNP professional must be ready to assess and address effectively epidemiology and health as well as facilitating evidence-based further development of healthier people priority tasks.
Its great to be back again for the fourth (and last) of the TMAs of this module.
The intro to chapter 9 in Cunningham & Allington(p.150) made me chuckle a bit, as I have many times asked that especially to my youngest son who “strongly disliked” writing up all the way through 8th grade. And he was not that amused over my question. I do believe that he was mostly thinking about how he could get out of the writing task altogether more than what to write. Fortunately now, a changed student, as a freshman in High School his attitude towards writing has greatly improved. I can only imagine how many other students are facing the same frustrations, and how inventive teachers have to be to encourage all students to write.
The first standard I demonstrated was standard one. Standard one is supporting instructional opportunities. When Mrs. Levan had a sub, I assisted in delivering instruction to the class. Mrs. Levan wrote in her lesson plan to have me paint the student’s hands to look like spiders. I painted both of their hands black and put their handprints on their spider webs. The students had a fire drill while I was there, so I walked at the back of the line to make sure all of the students made it outside safely. At the end of the day, I had the students come over to the carpet and I read a firefighter book to them. The students enjoyed me reading to them.
Over the past week or so I have learned more about the Boys and Girls Club of American in the Austin area and I felt the need to share with my families whom have school age children in their home. I am finding that most BGCA only accept children 6 years of age or older; however, there is an Austin BGCA that accepts children 5 years of age.
Everyone has their own characteristics that set them apart. The way they act, think, and feel gives them their own individual personality. But what if you could learn exactly what type of person you are? That is what intrigued me when I heard about the Enneagram system. I have taken personality quizzes before, but none were as accurate as the Enneagram. By taking this quiz, I learned more about myself than I realized I knew. The largest components of this questionnaire are the center, wings, and arrows. One’s personality is more complex than it seems. Even though I am classified to a particular group, I blend into other types similar to mine. Along with the Enneagram questionnaire, I completed a Learning Styles survey. This survey also
The past two weeks of dissection have been very valuable learning opportunities and extremely enjoyable. Dr Molyneux and the demonstrators were so helpful and caring; I felt they truly made a difference to how much I understood from this dissection experience. As well as this, I feel very privileged to have been given this opportunity to dissect a human body and would like to thank the individual who kindly donated their body for this purpose.
