CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
This chapter gives brief information about SOA, architecture of SOA and its principles. And also gives introduction about problem statement, motivation, and objective.
1.1 Introduction of Service Oriented Architecture
A Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architectural pattern in computer software design in which application components provide services to other components via a communications protocol, typically over a network. The principles of service-orientation are independent of any vendor, product or technology. [16]
SOA is a design for linking business and computational resources (principally organizations, applications and data) on demand to achieve the desired results for service

Service: A software component that encapsulates a high level business concept.
Contract: It provides a specification of the purpose, functionality, constraints, and usage of services.
Interface: functionality of the service exposed by the service to the clients that are connected to the service.
Implementation: The service implementation provides the required business logic and appropriate data. It contains one or more of the artifacts: programs, configuration, data and databases.
Business Logic: business process represented by the service.
Data: data represented in the service/ used by the service.
Service repository: It registers the services and their attributes to facilitate the
Service interaction is the interfacing and communication between the service provider and service recipient. It may come in various forms such as in person, over the telephone or indirectly through mail or email. Whatever form it takes, the service provider and recipient must be able to meet their standards for a successful interaction (Hodson, & Sullivan, 2007, p. 233).
The services component has dependencies on both the user interface element to represent the view, as well as the domain objects element to store information.

Writer received a call from Marvin concerning her SPOA application. Care manager used that opportunity to formally introduce myself, and also asked when he applied. Marvin had no knowledge of it but he shared his counselor's number with me to call her for details about the application.
The __________ service is responsible for sending a response packet that contains connection details to clients who send a specially formed request.

Infrastructure as a service: The client is able to build up a fundamental computing resource to deploy the OS and run software(s), without having to deal with setting up the hardware resources.
Upon reviewing all of the service reusability is the stage of service oriented design that most affect the granularity that compose the software solution. I came to this conclusion, because reusability of a service grants it to have endless potential. Not only can a service be reused, it can perform different tasks.
Regardless of the latest news regarding Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) failures, it is still clearly the choice for system integration and advantage on legacy systems. The expertise needed to put in place SOA will surely change to report developing requirements, but the theory will stay. The legacy systems act as a hub for various clients design distributes applications, which locate information through the five-web endpoint. The EAI retailer’s platform shows the middle tier, which is a prominent level of abstraction in an attempt to decouple prior firmly coupled legacy systems. The abstraction of legacy features, implementation, and technology specifies that applications are not a requirement for the other to understand because of
Defining the audience is among the most important steps in designing a website because this determines how the layout and the content should be constructed. However, the target audience can be composed of many different groups of consumers, investors, or other interested parties. The example provided uses potential car shoppers to illustrate how different groups can be constructed (Webmonkey Staff, 2010). Some consumers might be ready to purchase a vehicle now and will require different content than others who might be preparing for a possible purchase a few months for now. For example, people who are actively searching for a vehicle to purchase may be looking at cars for sale now at deal sites or through classifieds. While people who are preparing for a purchase down the road may be looking at research about different car models and are probably not as interested in cars for sale today.
Services Security Layer: These are services given to end clients. Example: Cellular, Wi-Fi, QoS etc.
To be able to compare and contrast a service and an object as a building block for defining new software one must first define what each one is. “A service is a physically independent software component designed to carry out a specific goal” (Richardson, 2017). An example in our attend section was a task that was a form that can be completed using a service is the processing of a business form. A service is also considered “a logical manifestation of some physical resource (like database, programs, devices, or humans) grouped as a process that an organization exposes to the network” (SYS-CON Media Inc, 2004). Another business problem that is solved with a service is production schedule. A plant manager uses a production schedule to be sure that the plant is running smoothly. They require the customer service department and sales to input their orders which will translate into what needs to be done each day to help with line balance in the plant. There are different types of services depending on what is needed. According to our attend section, they are as follows:
Service perspective is defined as providing the foundation for serving customers, working with vendors, and managing internal firm business processes. In this sense, IT infrastructure focuses on the services provided by all the hardware and software. IT infrastructure is a set of

One useful way to look at service design is by use of the servuction model (Hoffman and Bateson, 2010, p.9). The model illustrates the visible and invisible factors which influence the customer’s experience, and can aid organisations when designing their service. The servuction model consists of visible and invisible elements, all which have an effect on a customer’s service experience, whether or not they are aware of it.
