REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
This chapter consists of review of related literature and studies.
Related Literature According to www.scribd.com, (2011) enrollment is the process of entering and verifying data of students to register on a particular school. Different interrelated processes build up enrollment procedures called Enrollment System (ES). ES are used particularly in recording and retrieving student information. Tracking student information is also one feature of ES, in which the school can trace the standing of a student. Verifying payment was also added to update or browse student billings. Enrollment System is a good example of a computer generated process. This can lessen the workload and provides

The developer’s main concern is to make a system that will help to speed up the process. The subject of this study is the Enrolment System of Ebenezer Montessori Christian School, Inc. The study aims provide a system that will serve their Registrar accurately and with efficiency in matters related to their enrolment. As mentioned by Jones (2009) A software development and IT service firm implemented its catalyst in Governor Andres Pascual College was integrated web platform to provide content management, transaction processing, marketing and interactive community functions to the two rice schools. The content management tools of the Jones school staff edits update or add to the volume of curriculum and event information without calling for technical assistance. It simply cut and paste document into the content management system for consisting and publish to the web in the school. The study focuses on creating computerize enrollment system for the school. According to Billy Thomas (2010) Computerization of every process reduces human errors and processing time, it can also boost up productivity.“Computers are the best means for storage and management of data, they can serve as huge knowledge bases and can be harnessed for all sorts of financial transactions owing to their processing power and storage capacities. As computers are a daily utility, they have gained immense importance in day-to-day
There are many advantages to computers as it allows you to connect to the World Wide Web. It has affected everyone in this day and age as it allows you to do so many things such as connects to people around the world. People use computers to perform different tasks quickly and easily. It is very time efficient as you can email someone and they can receive it straight away but with a letter it would not only take couple of days to be received it would also cost. Many use computers to keep records and all the public services use a computer as it is a very important part of society in this era. It comes in handy as you can check on your bank and manage
The computer is a great invention that is used in every field including corporate offices and private homes. Computers have made our day to day tasks easier to do and made a great impact in our society that is still evolving and changing each day. Workers are able to do their jobs more efficiently and allow interconnectivity between computer users all around the world through the Internet.
There have been many advances since the initial invention of the computer fifty years ago. Today, computers operate many of the things that we use in everyday life. Some examples of these things are farm machinery, cars, planes, video games, heat and water delivery to our homes, banking, billing, and even the stock market. The advances of the computer have resulted in the
Do you help facilitate the open enrollment process? What items do you specifically handle during the open enrollment process? Will you develop cost projections for NGAM and its affiliates during the open enrollment process?
When I analyzed on how the Palm Beach State College registration process was being used by students and to try to reengineer the process, I realized that technology is the main focus of the registration process. Technology and job design has been incorporated into the registration process. There are numerous steps in the design of the registration process that need to be followed step by step. However, I think that there is one step in the registration process that can be added to help a current student, like me, can register for course in the Bachelors of Applied Science degree program.
I. Computer 's are an integral part of our daily lives. Just about anywhere you go, a computer is present. Hospitals, banks, even the gas pump you frequent, relies on computer 's to figure out how much gas you pump, how much it is per gallon, and where to get that money from. As you can see from this line graph, computer 's are in more demand than ever peaking at 350 million sold in a year. (Computer Sales Statistics)
In today’s world computers are extremely useful. Computers have changed the way we communicate, work and play. Computer users in the workforce is a necessary tool, business function more efficiently. Work productivity is enhance managing resource and process information that maintain a database of customer[s information just to mention a few of why the computer has enhanced our way of life and why the computer is so important.
Response: As an employer I can see that these computerized software systems have simplified and accelerated all regular business functions and transactions, But while these computerized systems are now monitoring human interactions this deskills the labor of the employees and defeats the purpose of self-actualization and purpose which is what makes a happy employee and keeps them there working hard.
This is a follow-up email in reference to a enrollment canellation. The Producer Help Desk is unable to process an agent's request for
I am from a low-income family and from a community that has a low college participation rate. When I started high school my parents made me aware of what our financial situation was and I was frightened by the idea that I would not end up going to college because the money was not there. So I did some research on something that would help me succeed and help me get into college. I found out that I was able to take college classes at a nearby community college and they would be able to transfer to a UC and this gave me hope. As soon as I became more informed I started the enrolling process which was extensive because several school officials had to approve my attendance to the community college. As soon as I had the approval I started to enroll
The purpose of this report is to look into the databases and software that are used by Kean University’s offices of Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Accounting. In interviewing Scott Martin, in the office of Computer and Information Services, our group has gained insight into what the department does and how, along with how the procedures could be improved. We also interviewed Mukesh Patel, who is in oversees information system operations for the Office of Financial Aid. The main purpose of this paper is to discuss how Kean has used information systems and databases to improve productivity and quality in the last 3-5 years. Later in the paper, we will discuss Scott’s recommendations along with suggestions of our own and specific courses of action to increase quality and efficiency.
Admission of students into university is an indispensable activity in every educational system. It is as old as education itself. At Caritas University, enrollment of more students into the school over the past few years have steadily increased the demand on the admission office. More applications resulted in heavier paper work and processing challenges. Every admission was routed through various departments for evaluation, and a manual admission process caused difficulty in admission processing and archiving. In order to speed up and simplify the admission process, the development of automated student admission processing system was
Abstract—Student Tracking System is a fully functional and easy to use, integrated, secure web application, designed to meet the unique information management needs for students, faculties and for administrators; providing innovative tools to save time and help them achieve their goals. The goal of this project is to create a common web based system for the university; which would allow administrators to manage programs, courses, prerequisites, class schedules for each department at single place throghout any quarter; and this would allow faculties to monitor students’ academic progress; manage class SCHEDULE; to approve or to decline the students’ permission to enroll in his class; track number of enrolled students as well as number of pending students for enrollment, to post assignments, to view students submitted solutions for the assignments or homework ; to post the grades and assignments through this web application and also allowing students to view their current quarter class schedule, grades, assignments and assignment scores, and also allows them to register classes. Not only this, but students can also obtain guidance regarding the courses to be taken based on the priorities such as Prerequisites, Core courses or Electives. Additionally, the system provides a secure file submittal system, through which students can submit assignments or homework in electronic format directly to instructors.
The completion and understanding of the information processing life cycle of computers allows users to access so much more information than previous generations. Just owning a computer is still limiting its capabilities if you are not using the internet though.
This Process Management will help the Admission Office to have a good service process where in the inputs they have in the enrollees will be sequenced properly and they will have a success completion.
