Conserve Restaurant
The “getting started “tab has no new information. It tell you to do your homework, and research the project before committing to it, to do an assessment to see what you need to correct, and make a plan with measurable goals. This is nothing new, and plain common sense.
Under the “conserve energy” tab it says that all food service business are like mini power plants. Power plants produce more energy that they use. If you were making electricity you could sell it for more than you charge for the food, and beverages. If they miss lead you on this very important fact, what else will they miss lead you on?

There is not even a basic plan for donating food, to either the homeless, of a farm. There is no section for frequently asked questions.
For this website to be of value they should add specific ideas, tips, and ways that actually work. There should be comments, and testimonies from companies that have made, or are making the transition to a “greener” environment.
Not that this website seems to be good for actual information, but if it was improved to help then it should be broken down into states. This would allow those who are interested in the environment to communicate with others in their state. They could then visit those other companies to see how they run a recycling program, or how the new HVAC system really works. Being in the same geographical area would put companies in line with most of the same laws.
Seems like you need to continually clink on another link looking for information most of which common sense items.

The Green Restaurant Association (GRA) website is a huge improvement over the Conserve Restaurant website.
The GRA website has information that can be used by anyone who may wish too. This includes not only restaurants, but also manufacturing, consumers, and distributors (N.A. n.d.). The GRA Association has a set on how to obtain a green certification, and how to maintain that certification.
