I met Nyasha in 2014 when she signed up to volunteer for Youth Employment UK and took on the role of a Youth Ambassador. The role asks young people to advocate and represent their peers in the UK who are facing employment barriers. Ambassadors engage with stakeholders from many influential institutions including the British government to explain the challenges they have, as in Nyasha’s instance at that time who was in high school and making life-changing decisions with regards to her education. At yearly conferences, regular events and parliamentary debates
Nyasha, from the first point of contact struck me as dynamic given that she was already very involved with lots of organisations furthering youth empowerment. She gave her full commitment to each one in whatever different capacities were required of her, the constant being professionally representing her peers and advocating on their behalf with passion. While volunteering for YEUK, Nyasha had a brilliant ability to retain the information shared in the ambassadorial brief and a clear talent for ensuring objectives were met to the highest standards. Whether speaking to MPs, other government officials or fellow young people, she shows a natural flair for adjusting to fit the audience. Addressing social issues that have created obstacles with candour thanks to her excellent interpersonal communication, Nyasha raises well-thought out agendas respectfully without confrontation to find solutions.

Despite her many outstanding achievements to date, she remains humbly future focused on improving herself whilst making a difference: I have no doubt that she will continue to be an asset to any team she joins. This role as part of the WISE Learners’ Voice program is a definite fit for
The Dhammapada is a Pali version of one of the most popular text of the Buddhist canon. The Dhammapada, or “sayings of the Buddha”, is a collection of 423 verses that tell about the ideals and teachings of the Buddha. When taken together, these verses provide a structured form of teaching within the Buddhist religion. These verses are a kind of guiding voice to the path of true enlightenment.
Over the centuries the Enga people of Papua New Guinea have adapted certain cultural characteristics to cope with varying environmental and social changes. Some aspects of the Enga peopleís lives that have shown the most cultural adaptation to the surrounding ecosystem are their horticultural practices, system of tribal warfare and clan organization. Through these adaptations, the Enga have gained ways to regulate their population, reduce their risk, control, communal resources, and regulate the environment through rituals. In our paper, we will look at each of these aspects of Enga culture and how they allow the Enga people to live within the environment constraints they are faced with.
I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with Ms. Wilson both in an academic setting and in the community. Confident in her abilities, she will be an asset to any originations
“She was able to answer all our questions about the subject and provided us with information and resources to further our learning. I felt prepared for the next school year.”
As a young child, Nakeisha Pierce had a happy childhood. She was surrounded by a large family who lived very close to her in her small hometown Bogalusa, Louisiana. She did have to travel around quite a bit due to her father serving in the army, but they did not go with him overseas because her mother was in nursing school. Her favorite childhood memory is going to her grandmother's house and eating family dinner. Her grandmother’s ten children and their children were gathered in her ginormous house. This memory really stands out to her because she plans on one day having these family dinners with her kids and grandchildren, and hopes they enjoy and value it as much as
“She’s one of the most hard-working, dedicated employees we have on staff,” she said. “She consistently goes above and beyond.”

Youth unemployment has been a constant problem in Australia for decades. In Treasurer Scott Morrison and the Coalition’s 2016-17 budget, a new plan focusing on helping young people join the workforce aims to drastically lower the youth unemployment rate over the next few years: the ‘Youth Jobs PaTH Program’. The $752 million dollar program aims to help up to 120,000 vulnerable young people over the next four years (Budget 2016-17, Queensland Government). However, there is a concern how effective the scheme will be, due to its emphasis on purely internships. Many argue that the Coalition’s youth unemployment scheme ‘Working Futures’ is a better option to lower youth unemployment, for its alternative structure and focus. To decide which one is best for Australia, both the Coalition and Labor Party’s scheme will be judged by analysing their social impacts upon the Australian youth.

The first experience with Jalisa Scott from CADD was not what I expected at all. Jalisa Scott was so well kept and humble. Her presentation wasn’t long and drawn out, instead it was very inspiring and educational. I was captivated by what her job required of her and how she fulfilled her role faithfully no matter how difficult some situations were.
Anna has consistently demonstrated a positive attitude and a genuine interest in the ensemble. Her vocal technique and ability to harmonize has very much improved this year. I look forward to working with Anna during the remainder of the year.
In this essay, I will be writing about a session I was involved in with a group of young people at The Factory Youth Zone. I will describe the benefits of using informal education as part of a group to examine differences between the issues around hate crime, also to outline the key concepts that I have found to help me run this session with this group of young people, to help them engage and empower them, using the NAOMIE model and the four cornerstones of youth work. I will conclude by reflecting on how my understanding of informal education and values have helped me impact the young people, when put into practice, outlining the development of legislation around discrimination
Ellie is a well disciplined, industrious student with a pleasant personality. She comes to class prepared and ready to share her knowledge. In class discussions, Ellie explains her views concisely and often give supporting arguments that are both clear and persuasive. Ellie also demonstrated good teamwork skills in group assignments. On tests, she tends to trade accuracy for speed which results in silly mistakes. I encourage her to take her time to answer questions
