I would like to give Lizzie a bunny necklace because she loves animals. Also, her baby bunny died a few months ago. She really cherished Coco and the necklace is kind of like a memorial. Grabbing her gift from under our tree ,just like I did for Han, I will give Lizzie her gift. It will come with a card shaped like a bunny with a message that says “Enjoy! This year was a bumpy roller coaster for you, you deserve something special” in big letters.
In The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant, Madame Forestier says to Madame Loisel, “Oh my poor Mathilde, how you’ve changed!”(615). Madame Loisel doesn’t change much because she is unappreciative of fate in life throughout the story. When readers start reading, she grieves over her lifestyle. Toward the middle, Madame Loisel is thankless her husband gets her a scarce invitation, and she doesn’t own a magnificent dress to wear. At the end, fed up, she had to change, Madame Loisel is unsatisfied.
People who are driven by greed end up focusing on what they do not have instead of being grateful for what they do have. This is relevant in the short story “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant because Mathilde Loisel ends up losing everything she owns just because she lets greed drive her decisions and get the best of her. When receiving an invitation to an extravagant ball, she declines because she says she does not have anything nice to wear. In the beginning of the short story she says, “There is nothing more humiliating than looking poor in the middle of a lot of rich women.(Maupassant).” The reader sees how she puts value in possessions and what others think of her. After finding a dress and then borrowing a necklace that she thought
Mrs.Van Bliven shares a balcony with Mr.Schmidt giving Mr.Schmidt an opportunity to look through the glass doors and observe Mrs.Van Blivens belongings. In photograph A, it is clear that the intruder could see through the doors to figure out where Mrs.Van Bliven’s valuables are. The balcony doors are made partially of glass, giving the intruder the perfect opportunity to smash in the window, unlock the door and proceed to enter the suite. Observing photograph A, the suite is found undisturbed, In photograph B the suite has been broken into from the balcony. The window on the balcony door had been smashed to enable the suspect to unlock the door. Mrs.Van Bliven had said, she locked the door so the intruder would have to break the glass to get into the room.
Rabbits I am choosing to make a rabbit cake because in the book Mice and Men it states that Lennie always wanted to tend the rabbits. The rabbits are so important to Lennie in Of Mice and Men because they represent, to him, home, safety, peace and love. Lennie is an innocent with the mental capacity of a child; he knows and believes only as much as George has told him. The rabbits are soft, smooth and comforting to him. Lennie would always talk about the rabbits and he always talked about the little cabin that George and Lennie would get.

She said that you have to learn to work through the problems, because you will definitely have some, and appreciate the world, what you have and be happy. She also said that her home is a great motivation for her because the people who knew her and took care of her and cared and loved her created this strong bond of support for her. This inspires her to give back, she said she wanted to be a mentor in high school and in daily life now and she really wants and enjoys spreading happiness. It’s the kind of present you can give for free and get so much back.
A bouquet to Blue Heron Books. I was gift shopping and I found myself gazing, stumped, at shelves of shiny new books. I would’ve left empty handed if not for the friendly service I received. I approached the clerk and asked for help. After a brief description of what I wanted she recommended several books. They were all relevant and I was happy with my purchase. The recipient liked the gift and I can’t imagine what else I could have gotten. I hope the clerk knows I appreciate her individual attention and genuine suggestions. She didn’t pressure me to buy books but rather helped me to find the right gift. This unaggressive manner creates a cozy atmosphere perfect for a local bookstore. If you want to support a small business I highly recommend
Impacts from Society Societies often reflect back on the citizens and can change them into being cruel people. “The Doll’s House” by Katherine Mansfield and “The Jade Pendant” by Catherine Lim we see that Mrs. Burnell and Mrs. Khoo think they have more power over those lower than them because of the class division. In contrast, there is Kezia, the protagonist, and Ah Soh, Mrs. Khoo’s relative, who have seen or been involved in the injustice and want to make a change for the Kelvey sisters and Ah Soh’s daughter. Ultimately, in both stories, the authors reveal that the societies that people live in can cause unneeded conflicts and can impact people’s motives. However, the end result can give hope for a future change.
In the Necklace by Guy M. Madame Loisel, the protagonist, undergoes a change from being spoiled and self centered woman to a more hard working and appreciative woman. Throughout her life, she did experience many difficulties and challenges but this one event changed the way she viewed everything. In the beginning of the story, Mme Loisel wanted everything. She never thought of anyone but herself, as she wanted and lusted for more money and luxury.

The theme for “The Necklace,” a short story by Guy de Maupassant, is “Always be grateful for what you have because you never know what you have until you lose it.” This theme fits “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant, because it shows how the main character did not appreciate what she had, instead she wished for more and constantly compared herself to the rich lifestyle that she obsessed over and wished was her own. The first quote “I’ll look like a pauper: I’d almost rather not go to that party” (Maupassant 171). This quote explains and shows how nothing is good enough for her
In today's world what we wear and how we present ourselves can say a lot about who we are and the stories we can tell. Without speaking a word to another person someone could decipher many things about me based on a necklace that I wear. My necklace could reveal many different aspects of who I am. it could reveal that I am close with my family. It could also be determined that I value the sentimental value over the monetary value. As a gift from my grandmother I have many personal attachments to this necklace, it will allow people to think certain things about me, and it can reveal a lot about who I am; but there are also things that it doesn't show.
Dad buys me a little teddy bear with a heart necklace. It’s a beautiful silver thing that sits perfectly around my neck.
Her birthday is coming up and I want to get her a chain for the charm I bought her,” my cousin said.
