Wranglers, owned by the VF Corporation have more than 1000 production factories in Asia; they are looking to set up another new factory in Bangladesh. This report investigates and examines the basic considerations for a factory set up, then makes recommendations on these findings in order to provide the management team with the tools required to ensure a smooth factory start up. The discussion focuses on the four main topics: Method of manufacture, Method study/time study, Costings and Quality. Recommendations are made concerning these topics, with the benefits and drawbacks of each presented, with suggestions on which of each topic may be best suited to the factory. Additional factors such as Ergonomics and Payment plans were also examined.

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this report is to provide Wrangler® Jeans management team with information concerning the factory set-up,
For my business, I decided to open up an up-scale designer clothing store. In the city I live, we have a good amount of clothing stores but almost all are found at the local malls. I plan to find a large unit that’s surrounded by many businesses along with steady traffic flow.
A project is determined by a start and an end. Before the project started the work does not exist. During a project the work does exist. When the project ends work no longer exist. To determine if something can be identified as a project it must have certain characteristics. They include a defined scope, finite budget, deliverables (specific end results) and assigned resources. During a project there are interacting processes. The initiation process starts the project and identifies the organization’s commitment to the project. The planning process defines the objectives and the scope of the project. The processes must be executed which coordinates the resources that are needed to carry out the project plan. These processes must be controlled or monitored in order to take corrective action if needed. Finally, there are processes to close out the project which include acceptance of the deliverables that were identified.
The fashion industry is certainly not for the faint of heart. It is an industry full of ups and down. And it is one that is quite labor-intensive. Fashionable apparel begins as the aesthetic brainchild of a designer (or team of designers). And as the item(s) gain life, each works its way through the many facets of the manufacturing process.
My Major Textile Project is a ballgown styled evening piece that is simple, elegant and uncluttered. It is designed to be worn in an extremely formal setting such as a red carpet event and therefore falls into the category of apparel. My ensemble consists of a corset which is fastened at the back via eyelets laced with ribbon with a decorative pintucking crosshatched design on the front panel. This is paired with a full-length skirt with petticoats to add bulk, creating a design very reminiscent of the Victorian Era but also a garment that can be worn in a modern day, formal context. Evidently, my focal inspiration is 19th century Victorian Era garments and the silhouettes common in that time. The Victorian Era style of dress was one with a
Despite the fact that there are better manufacturing technologies to be found in today's modern world, it is still quite difficult for every Tom, Dick and Harry in business to manufacture their own products. This is because the cost of setting up a manufacturing plant is significantly high; in addition, one requires a team of professionals with a high level of expertise in various aspects of manufacturing in order to have everything up and running as smoothly as possible.

Part 1: Search the internet for the term "IT outsourcing". Find at least two articles that discuss outsourcing, whether beneficial or controversial. Summarize the articles and answer the following questions in a two to three page paper:
Prepare a five to seven paragraph response proposing leadership styles you would recommend for the Denver Airport Project. Please choose a combination (two or three) of the eight leadership styles presented in the Thompson textbook (Chapter 11: Leadership: Managing the Paradox). Please note that you are to also use three other sources from the internet or the DeVry online library. All sources must be cited.

We might see the points from the business strategy 1) Bid only on good margin products that have the potential for maintaining their margins over a long term. 2) Pursue only new products. 3) Utilize the most advanced technology in new projects. “ project champion” approach to innovation and creativity. no more than 480 employees. 4) Foster the
Today’s business executives are asking their managers and employees “to do more… with less”. Fewer Project Managers are leading more projects with poor results, the latest Standish Group – Chaos Report shows that only 28% of IT projects succeed. Many believe that the key to Project success in not applying technical management principles, but rather, more artful soft skills such as communication and creativity. (Belzer, 2004).
Project Management is a tool that is needed in any industry to be successful. In the fashion industry there is always going to be projects, events and shows that are going on. In order to get these projects accomplished on time project management is needed. I am going to use the case of a fashion show. Lihn Tran says that “The fashion industry is probably one of the fastest moving in the business world” (Tran). In order for the fashion industry to run in an orderly fashion, their needs to be a project manager that is in charge of such a big growing industry. In order to put on this type of show we need to make sure that we have a project leader and other employees who are going to have specific jobs with specific deadlines. This is going to be the companies’ first retail fashion show, so they want to make sure things run smoothly. They are a small company with only 8 employees including the owner. Some owners try to accomplish way to much, more than they can do themselves, Skillpath says “project managers and business owners often try to tackle all aspects of running a company or specific project by themselves. While this is ambitious, it 's not realistic” (How).
In Cerberus Corporation, a new project had been started in 2 years ago. Susan Steele was appointed to be the project manager for her first time in job and her project was to transit the old-modeled office furniture to the new corporate standard due to ergonomics issue. Susan was formed in a team with 4 other team members who are responsible for different aspects respectively. Recently, Susan had faced a disagreement with the Photographic Chemicals Division’s (PCD) manager, Jon Wood. She rejected Jon’s idea on the movement of the old cabinets as they are not complying with the new corporate standards. Both managers are being obstinate and against to change their view.
Early one morning about four years ago Melissa Miller woke up from a deep sleep with an answer to the question that had been keeping her awake for weeks prior. It hit her the second she opened her eyes. “It was sort of out of no where, like it had come to me in a dream that night,” said Miller, “I just remember waking up and being like ah-ha.” Miller is better known as Emme, the first plus size supermodel, and the question that was keeping her up was how she could contribute the fashion industry, or larger than than that, to womanhood, in a way to that would make an impact. Something that would really stick. Hazily, Emme got out of bed and tip toed to her kitchen so not to wake her 13 year old daughter at this early hour. She made herself a cup of black coffee and settled down at her kitchen table. She started by googling fashion education programs in the United States to confirm her suspicion.
The business world is rapidly changing where design is changing. Design thinking works is not just visual design.
Design is the process whereby the attributes of a client are developed and documented so that they can be procured. It is very important stage in the design procurement process and has a major pressure on the outcome of the project. Lot of concentration is paid to overall project management, as evidenced by techniques developed over the last 15 years. This critical view examines the particular nature of design management process and the concrete issues that should to be considered in order to establish the felicitous controls.
