Freshman year to senior year, to me, are two completely different things, though in many ways they are also very alike. They are both endings as well as beginnings of new eras in your life! Freshman year is an ending to your elementary while still being the start of your high school. Your senior year is an ending to high school, while on the other hand, a start to your college career. Both are very important times in life. Freshman year was definitely the most nerve wracking for me. I was between moving, switching schools, and making new friends. It was a scary time in my life. It was also a new beginning! My first day of freshman year was like a fresh start for me. I made new friends, and a new very best friend! Though I did miss my old friends,
Junior year was full of many new experiences. We were now classified as upper classmen! Just like any of the other years in high school this year had just as many ups and downs. One of the main stresses in eleventh grade was the SAT. For sure one of the scariest things that I have ever had to do. All of the preparation going into it and the amount of studying made me feel as if I wasn’t going to have a brain by the time the testing was over. I took college and career readiness, which really helped prepare me for what was to come. By this time in high school I had already had my job for a little over a month, so I already knew what to expect once school started. I am thankful enough that at my job you get to leave at seven because I hear many
Freshman year, I imagined that year to be amazing. I wanted it to just have an awesome flow but did it? It did in the beginning then a bomb went off during the middle of the year and turned freshman year into a complete disaster. Freshman year was supposed to be about having a great start to the rest of your high school life before you enter the big bad world but other students just couldn't help themselves but to create that bomb during the middle of my freshman year.
Freshman year could definitely be the worst year of High School when it comes to your social life. This is the year where you can expand your friends to more than just people in your grade. This year is also a sad year because it is when you find out who your real friends are. High School is all about gaining new friends and losing what you thought were your friends. When I started my freshman year all I heard when I started was that your real friends will show and you fake friends will vanish. In my case this did not happen. Yes, when I got into Highschool I did grow farther apart to some of my friends, but I would never say that they have vanished from my life or anything like that.
A lot have people have been nervous about their freshman year but eventually we all make friends and end off the year with a lot of great weird and sometimes depressing memories.
Freshman 101 is a class adapted from the parrot program (Fay & Medway, 2006, p. 226). The parrot program was designed for college students at Cornell University. Freshman 101 is the first of its kind in the state of South Carolina and the first to extend Parrot’s college program to high school freshmen (p. 226). Each two-hour intervention class contained 25 to 30 freshmen students. The objectives of the class were to have participants understand the definition of acquaintance rape and the frequency that it takes place along with South Carolina’s laws regarding rape (p. 226). Students also learned about mixed messages associated with verbal and non-verbal communication and how to clearly state their wants and desires (p. 227). Communication,
Sophomore year had ended, and my summer had just begun. After a long wait to gain permission to go on a backpacking trip. My father gave me the approval. I took my love for the outdoors and began to explore it even more.
Being a freshman in College could be troublesome for others. Some find it easy and breeze through college; some takes time to find their comfort zone. A student must be able to know their positive and negative aspects of everyday task throughout College. Responsibility, motivation, and knowing the benefits and drawbacks are some of the qualities that a student must possess in order to be successful in College.
Sophomore year in general has been treacherous . Now it's become harder trying to manage work while studying for finals, Eoc and keeping up with work. Nowadays, I find myself wishing to be back in elementary school. A memory that has been engraved to the deepest part of my brain is one of my teachers telling me of the importance of flushing and cleaning up after the mess that I create. I can’t believe that I once thought that elementary school was difficult. Let’s ignore the fact that my English wasn’t that good in elementary school, now that I’m actually reflecting on the time that I spent in elementary school, I can truly see how simple everything was. For example, I had to write my weekly vocabulary words thrice. But, this is the real world. We aren’t given the chance to go back in time just because we wish to relive certain periods of our lives.
College students have no yet grasped the threat of this cancer, according to researchers at Auburn University who followed 131 students over four years of college at least 70% saw a dramatic increase of 12-37 pounds. They take lightly the common pop culture reference for weight gain, the freshman fifteen; if college kids are looking at stats like these, then they begin to develop fear, which is the most important step to change or prevent an unhealthy lifestyle. Too many are suffering from health related diseases from their poor choices and I believe this is mainly due to the lack of knowledge. It’s easy to say it should be required for all college kids to take a health course or gym in order for them to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle
The first year of high school is always scary. It is no longer going to school with people the same age, but instead going to school with people who are 18 years old. The first couple of days are nerve wracking and scary, freshman are at the bottom of the high school food chain and it is rare for people to graduate with people they came in with. It’s important to try hard in school, go to football games/school dances, stay involved, and not get caught up in petty drama.
Senior Year is the time where some of the most valuable memories of a young adults life are made. Although, it is said to be the beginning and end for seniors as we cherish, plan, and prepare. We cherish our last high school moments. While planning our next steps in life. Along with preparing to be on our own and live independent adult lives.
Freshman year is looked at as if it will be the hardest time of anyone’s life. Being a new freshman can be a pretty scary thing, but there are some upsides to it. You get to meet new people, play high school sports, join all kinds of clubs, and many other things. Being a Freshman is not as hard as society makes it out to be. I found that if you work hard, balance your extra curricular activities with your school work, and stay organized, you will find that freshman year is actually no different from any other.
For the majority of people, high school was a not so great. It's a time of transition and preparation for the real world. Of course, freshman year is always awkward, sophomore year is always a dread, and then junior year. Lots of people hate their junior year and I was one of those people.
Its the best of times, it’s the worst of times. Mainly its the best, when I first walked into this high school I knew it would be some of the best times of my life. Its weird to think about how fast it went by. We have less than a year until we are all off to college. Knowing that, it makes me enjoy my senior year a lot more. The friends you have now will all be different once you’re out of this town, you may not even see some of those people ever again. So make senior year the best it can possibly be with the people you like the most, because in a year itll be completely different from what it’s like now.
Everyone in the world changes in many different ways and different times. Change depends on whether the person wants to make a difference in their life or not and only particular people decide to make that choice. Since sophomore year, there has not been specific change in myself because I chose to just stick to the same routine each day. One form in which I have changed is the way of viewing the reality around me. This particular view changed after summer entering junior year because an incident happened and it changed my whole perspective. A valid reason in why most people make change in their life is to get themselves out of a situation the person is stuck in, in my case this is a valid reason because I am trying to get out of a situation
