Friar Lawrence, a flawed man who had caused the deaths of two young lovers, Romeo and Juliet. Friar is the most to blame because he wanted to end the feud between the two families but used to young lovers as his servants to end this feud. Both families The Montagues and The Capulets are also to blame because if the feud never even happened Romeo and Juliet wouldn't be dead and resolved their issues after it was too late. The Families could have came together and resolved the conflicts they’ve had way before Romeo or juliet and could have avoided so many deaths. It is unknown why the 2 families were fighting but it is rumored that it was about one one upping the other family. Lady Capulet is one of the family members (Juliet's mom) that caused their deaths because she forced Juliet to marry someone who she didn't really want to and which caused her to think that if she didn't marry Romeo he would kill himself. The Family also ties in with Friar too because if this feud never happened Friar would have never had to try and end the family feud. Balthasar is also to blame because he shouldn't had just assumed that Juliet was dead and told Romeo, if he was a true servant he would’ve went with and helped but he didn't stop him or atleast try to stop
To begin with, being the most oldest person means you know how to handle a problem or able to make proper plans. You can also went through a lot of things when you’re young. You also hold the most responsibility out of all the people. In Shakespeare’s story Friar Lawrence was the adult of the story but he still manage to mess up plans and do secret plans.
Friar Lawrence finds out about Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other but does not tell the two families about this. If he had told the families maybe Romeo and Juliet could have been able to date because both of the Lords are wise and would have consider let them get married to end the fued. However, if the families disapproved of Romeo and Juliet they could have ended their relationship in the beginning so that they would stop seeing each other. He also knew Romeo's love for Rosaline and how quickly he changed his mind he could have slowed him
Friar Lawrence was one of the most important characters in the novel. Even though he was not on the stage for most of the play he greatly contributed to the tragedy that would soon happen at the end of the play. There was basically three major parts that lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet, which Friar Lawrence was involved in all of them. Friar Lawrence played a vital role in the marriage, planning and death of Romeo and Juliet. His attempts to do the right thing were noble, but because of poor planning they would soon lead to the inevitable tragedy.
William Shakespeare once said, “The course of true love never did run smooth.” Romeo and Juliet were madly in love with each other. They could only tell a handful of people about their feelings for each other because their parents hated each other. Romeo and Juliet decided to get married, and everything went downhill from there. In the end, Romeo and Juliet committed suicide. Even though Romeo and Juliet took their own lives, their fathers and Friar Lawrence are ultimately responsible for their deaths.
I strongly believe that the person with the most severe impact towards Juliet’s suicide was Friar Lawrence. This guy has guilt all over him!

While some themes are obvious, there are still a few themes that Shakespeare puts in that requires a little bit of deeper digging into the text. When Friar Lawrence walks into the Capulet house on the day of the wedding, he is well aware of the situation at hand but decides to act like all is well. While he has only the best intentions, his decisions wind up being quite detrimental to the protagonists. As the stakes begin to rise within Romeo and Juliet’s relationship, Friar Lawrence can see the dangers, but stands by his decisions to follow through with his plans and ideas. However, in various cases, he is unable to look past the present time in order to see the consequences, as he is more focused on his good intentions. Additionally, as he becomes increasingly more guilty for the tragedy of the young lovers, Friar Lawrence begins to blame his missteps on others, lacking accountability.
