Growing up, providing care to the sick has always been a calling and not just a job. I was only 14 when my father was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and I had to skip school to take care of him. I was all he had at the time, and the care I provided came from within, from the heart. My duty was to help him feel well again, unfortunately he passed away 3 years later and his dead left me seeking for a compassionate and fulfilling purpose. Since then, I have cared for broken men and women in various recovery homes within our Church – Victory Outreach International, home and abroad providing Counseling and health aid to many. It has become vivid after two years of working as a Combat Medic/ Emergency Technician within the Military …show more content…
My immediate goal is to get admitted and become among the top 5% in my class while at a long run, pursuing a master in Nursing will be a dream changer for me.
Visiting Coppin State University made it a natural and logical choice for my second degree- undergraduate education. Coppin State University come highly recommended by more than one Health care professionals especially those that I have worked with to include, military company commanders who are Nurses, Physician Assistants and nurses in my civilian Hospital where I work with. They recommended the school’s reputation and professional staff. From all I have seen, what makes Coppin State University stand out is their unswerving interest in prospective students as opposed to other schools where one feels a certain level of distance. After meeting with some of the staff in Coppin State University during my admission process, I feel attached to the College already.
I would like to take a brief moment to explain that I graduated with a Bachelor of Science - Life Sciences, Honors in Biochemistry with a minor in Medical Laboratory Technician in South West Cameroon- University of Buea. I arrived the United States and was requested to complete some pre-requisites for nursing which I did making all As except for a single course as a result of my military commitment. I registered a GPA of 3.88 though I believe I could do
5 years from now my career goal that I have set for myself is to graduate from an approved nursing program and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse (RN). After graduation I hope to be promoted at the hospital I am woking at to start working as a registered nurse
My first goal is to graduate and get certified as a medical assistant. To reach this goal I will attend every class, study hard, and pass every class so when I complete my externship I will be confident in my new career.
nursing degree and to become a successful nurse by using all the knowledge I am
However, I can envision myself with my Master’s degree. I have a plan to always further my education to gain more knowledge and gain more responsibility or different kinds of responsibilities. Again, I will fill out the application and with receiving an acceptance letter I will know I did it. I will have to submit previous transcripts and plan financially for the school. I will also have emotional support but financially I will have saved for school and I should be on my own by then. My target completion date is December 2021. My other goal for five years is to gain lifelong learning by attending at least two nursing conferences. I not only want to go to learn but I want to go to for networking purposes, especially with my Master’s degree. I will stay connected with what is going on and will keep my ears open and eyes for posting for conferences each year. I plan to talk to my colleagues and attend meetings for a nursing organization I will be involved in that I mentioned in my paper previously. I have no target date of completion because it is not only a five year goal but a lifelong
Beginning my career at Western Carolina University, I had no idea the impact writing has on future educators. It is extremely important to have an effective writing strategy in all aspects of teaching. You will be required to write lesson plans, referrals, and letters home to the parents. Each of these have different strategies, and all of these are used simultaneously throughout the school year. Throughout the essay I will explain how to do each of these writings, and also give step by step instructions on an effective way to make sure it is done correctly.
Please describe your educational goals and future career plans: I am going to complete my associate’s degree in nursing at Waubonsee Community College and then transfer to Governors State University to earn my bachelors of science in nursing.
At a very early age I felt called to heal people, and the calling has not changed. That same calling became intensified when I was ten years old, I was brought to Emory Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. Over the course of a week, I was taught how to live a new way of life with my diagnosis. People have the tendency to feel sympathetic or sorry towards a teenage girl living with an incurable autoimmune disease; however, from the moment I was diagnosed I knew God was going to use it to shape my future as a way to glorify him. Over the course of a week, it was inherently noticeable that the professionals spending time with the patients were the nurses on the floor, not the physicians or the physician’s
This particular college gives me the opportunity to spend two years studying on campus and two years studying at the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Here I will gain experience by working in the field while completing my coursework. My hope is to graduate in the Spring of 2021 and find a Nursing position to begin my career. Upon achieving my BSN degree and working in the field of Nursing, I plan to further my education by attending graduate school. I would like to get a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in order to become a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Recently a graduate from Maryville University with a major in nursing and a minor in psychology. I can see myself planning a family and the rest of my life. My dream job at Cardinal Glennon is a nurse who works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. While working as a nurse I wish to gain a few years of experience and then later on applying to a Nurse Practitioner program or a Nurse Midwifery program. After completing those programs I plan on starting a family and laying out the plan for the rest of my nursing career and life.
My ability to focus on my coursework rebounded my grades and I earned my associate in nursing and then proceeded to get my bachelor in nursing. I can sincere guarantee you that, this low GPA is not a clear indicative of my abilities and motivations, I do not believe that my GPA appropriately represents my academic capabilities. I can assure the admission committee that those low grades I received are not suggestive of my commitment to pursuing goal to become a nurse practitioner.
I am currently in my second year of studies at Delaware County Community College. My major is Science for the Health Professions and my goal is to be enrolled in Thomas Jefferson University's Nursing Program by Fall 2017. My mother is currently a Registered Nurse. She has inspired me to fulfill this career and I aim to surpass her success and achieve my Masters Degree in Nursing rather than an Associate's. However, this past year has proven to be the most difficult in my efforts of achieving this dream of mine.
I am a nursing student. I have a great passion for caring for others. My short term goals are to graduate Riverland Community College with my Associate's Degree in Nursing this December. I plan to work very hard and prepare to take my nursing licensure exam at the beginning of next year to become licensed as a registered nurse. I will then transfer to Metropolitan State University to complete my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
My main goal as of right now is to get my RN licenses. I have other goals alongside that I want to achieve as well. Such as finding a group to do mission work with and be able to use my nursing licenses to help countries struggling with bad health and also spreading the gospel to people who may have never heard it. Of course other things as finding a woman and having a family with her. As of now though my only plan is to get my nursing licenses. Now most of the requirements are very obvious and that it’s mostly about getting good grades and graduating high school. I wanna acquire as many scholarships as I can in order to pay for most of my college, but if that fails it’s not the end of the world just more of a struggle. I need to get great
School is my number one goal and is displayed many times throughout my board. It is my goal to become a nurse practitioner with my Masters. In order to achieve this goal I will attend college and get the necessary schooling. For me, the schools I will attend are NICC and the University of Iowa. I an determined to be able to say I graduated with high grades and on the dean's list. At NICC I will get my LPN and RN and after that I will transfer to University of Iowa and get my BSN and ARNP to officially become a
It began just like any other day. I woke up to the bright sun shining through my curtains. Rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, I stalked towards the kitchen to fix myself some breakfast. Even the low churning of the coffee machine signaled that it too was begrudgingly waking up. After opening and closing the refrigerator several times expecting something else to appear I settled for a simple bowl of cereal. I washed down my Cheerios with the warm, freshly brewed coffee and made my way back to my room. Upon entering, I noticed that I had several articles of clothing scattered across the floor. However, due to the rules of my high school, I was required to wear a uniform. As I started putting on my itchy polo shirt and my plaid, knee length skirt, I wondered if the rest of my day was going to go well. So after I brushed my teeth and fixed my unruly hair, I got into my car and set out on my long eight-minute commute to school.
