According to market orientation, an organization creates a business strategy that can lead their company to go beyond their competitors .same as this JD sports which is a well known retailer, keep the balance of its marketing mix to fulfill the needs of consumers in order to achieve business growth. In this case study JD sports has adopted the strategies for placing , Pricing and positioning the brand which has resulted a good growth in business. JD continuously adapting and changing their marketing mix through a focus on customer’s needs, which helped JD to stay ahead of their competitors .

Traditional marketing and Sport Marketing have similarities and differences. Being able to understand the similarities and differences would help someone comprehend both principles. Both principles share the Marketing Mix or 4P’s of marketing. The 4P’s are product (or service), place, price, and promotion. As defined by McCarthy and Perreault (1988), the marketing mix refers to the controllable variables the company puts together to satisfy a target group. I will explain the differences of the 4ps in traditional marketing and sports marketing.
I created my marketing mix poster on a company Apple Inc. that sells technology. My poster shows a representation of the following four categories product, price, promotion, and competition in relation to Apple.
Toyota has a manufacturing facility of the overseas of 50 in 27 countries, and is doing business expansion globally. Moreover, the Toyota car is sold by 160 countries of an overseas. The number of dealer is 8,485 dealers in the world (Expect Japan), and there are more than 270 dealers in Australia. We can buy Toyota’s product everywhere.

Some companies use “Overall Cost Leadership” to increase profit by reducing costs and increase market share by lowering price. Some companies use “Focus Strategies” to select a group of market and tailor its strategy to serve that group. The others use “Product Differentiation” as a strategy to obtain a premium price by making unique products. Nike, with its differentiation strategy, the company is continuing to separate its self from the competitors by using its superior technology and innovation. This paper mainly discusses on the company’s product differentiation and analysis how the company using this strategy to build its brand image and become a market leader in sportswear industry. A brief discuss about Nike competitive advantage which related to its broad differentiation aspect and the company product life cycle are also presented on this paper.
Marketing strategies are generally concerned with 4 Ps; product, pricing, promotional and placement strategies. The focus of these strategies are the objectives to be achieved, meant to ultimately meet the business overall goal of revenue growth. The key to successful marketing is differentiation strategy. If consumers do not perceive Nike as being different from those in the competition, Nike will not win the marketing war.
