To accomplish anything in life, you must set goals. These goals must be realistic and achievable. Two years ago, I was at a point in my life that I never believed I would see. I was finally at my associate’s degree graduation day. Becoming at teen mom at 17, college had never even crossed my mind. This was a moment in my life where I was able to not be your average teen mom statistic. Continuing to better my life and my daughter’s I set a new goal after graduation to achieve my bachelor’s degree. After speaking with UMUC counselors, I decided to obtain my bachelor’s degree in Social Science with a minor in Emergency Management. Currently, I am in my final two classes at UMUC with a scheduled graduation date of May 15.
My duties and responsibilities are to watch and patrol areas to guard against illegal activity and dangerous scenarios. I work to protect the health and safety of the public, and serve as physical symbols to deter petty crimes, such as theft and acts of domestic terrorism. I am well aware of my surroundings in order to detect and deter crimes. I have the ability to watch and observe without getting distracted. I would like to attend Colorado Christian University to pursue my studies because of the fact that CCU integration of academic achievement, character development, and spiritual formation prepares CCU graduates to honor God and impact the world with their lives. College education also help me choose my career more wisely and college experience makes people become more confident and can make better and well judged decisions. A college education can teach a person about his or her moral obligations. It improves the society because of the values and traditions that a person learns in college. I am a hard working and well-rounded individual. My diverse experiences polished my protective, preventive and safety skills and provided me with a thorough understanding of potential
I believe that we can achieve what we have envisioned in our lives as we consistently not only believe it but confidently work hard toward that belief. Such is my principle and conviction
Academics, Attitude, and Effort are what I learned to help me achieve my targets in high school, and will be the same for college. What I want to experience at CBU is their immense amount of resources that will benefit me in a major or career that I want to be in, however, right now I am undecided. With my attitude at CBU will help me experience great effects on what I could do to exceed in life. With my effort I know my experience will be a tremendous including social life, so knowing I will get to know my professors with the ratio being 17:1 in almost every class at CBU.
My current focus is entering the Respiratory Care program at Northeast Iowa Community College. A college degree will assist in ensuring that one day I can be an adult capable of facing adversity, capable of giving back to the community, and capable of being an example to others as my parents are to me. I do not expect the college experience to miraculously transform me into a knowledgeable adult. However, I am relying on it to help me grow, mature and learn.
Lastly, through my time at CBU, I hope to figure out what God has planned for my life. Right now, my plan is to attend CBU, graduate with a nursing degree move to a third world country for a while, adopt a kid from there, then once I'll move back to America open a nonprofit organization that involves sex trafficking and human slavery. Besides becoming a pediatric surgeon, (but who really wants to go to school for a million years) this would be my dream career plan. However, it might not be the plan that God has created for me. If I attend CBU, through my own personal growth in Christ, I hope to realize the purpose that God has for me.
After extensive research, I came to the conclusion that the University of North Carolina at Greensboro was the best school for me. I am transferring to receive my Bachelor’s degree in Public Health. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro offers an amazing program in Public Health, which is completely online. The Bachelor’s degree in Public Health is a program designed to receive your degree by completing courses at home. I am eager to learn all of the material required for me to be successful in the career of my choice. My ultimate career after receiving the Public Health degree is to become a Medical and Health Services Manager. I hope to achieve this goal and make my family proud. Even though I will not be physically attending the university, I love the diversity of the university and the surrounding area. I have visited the university many times and the people are always nice and helpful. I hope to communicate with classmates via email and become a more sociable person. I promise to work hard and be very successful in all of my
My first goal and objective is to obtain a collegiate degree. A degree would help me to pursue my career and goals that I have for the future. My main priority is my education, so I am going to Tougaloo College to further my education. I have always had plans to go to college when I was young. Tougaloo seemed to be the right college for me, and it really fit my personality well. It will provide me with the education I need for my future career. The quality of education at Tougaloo is very high, and I will receive a great education while attending. Obtaining a degree from one of the most highest achieving schools would be an honor and privilege for me. I can picture me in my cap and gown on graduation day very happy and proud of myself ready to
I thrive in smaller, yet motivated, environments where I am given the opportunity to reach my full potential, which is why I believe TCU would be a perfect fit for me. I am excited by the reputation of passionate and dedicated professors at TCU. I know that my professors at TCU will give their full attention to me and support me whether it be academically or in everyday life. Additionally, I find the TCU spirit captivating. I hope to try out for the TCU Show Girls if I have the honor of becoming a TCU Horned Frog.
When I think about education, I think about those who fight to have it and those who take it for granted. I have been a fighter, and I am still continuing to fight to get the best education I can. As I fight for a higher level of education, I think about all the ways I can positively impact my community. Lynchburg College satisfies all my expectation of the quality of education I’m looking for. The way I perceive my future and I’m working to build it Lynchburg College fits in my plans. There are many reasons why I´m sure getting a science degree at Lynchburg College will help me to reach my futures goals such as the Pre- Professional Advising program that will have a huge positive impact on my intention of becoming a physician. The second reason
Henry Ford, an inventor, entrepreneur and innovator, once said, “There isn’t a person anywhere who isn’t capable of doing more than he thinks he can.” This is the mind-set I have towards inner-city youths that I work with and the mind-set that I strive for all to believe in. Young adolescents are critical to our future, which is why I devoted my career to working with children and teenagers living in urban environments. I want to advance in my work with nonprofits and gain more knowledge to help others, which is why I am choosing to go back to school. I want to attend a graduate school that shares my same passion for helping others and that school is Wheelock College.
The social classes for the Golden Path are different than anything Americans are used to seeing. The majority of the citizens are in the same social class. They are all hard working contributing members of society. The medicine man and the priest do not work the jobs like the citizens. They work only when the other citizens need them too. Having more than one social class for the majority of the people would case separation and is therefore frowned upon in this community based society. There is little social inequality. No one brings any attention to the fact that the priest and the medicine man do not have to work as hard. The citizens that work are all equal. They all have their voices heard on any issue that needs addressing. There are
As a young child, I remember being asked the question: “what do you want to be when you grow up?” While I struggled with the answer for many years, in the course of my studies and work experience, I found my passion for higher education. During my undergrad career, I was introduced to the world of higher education, in which I found helping my fellow students a rewarding pursuit. Furthermore, in the course of my political science studies, I found how politics, and governmental institutions, influenced the culture, and educational pursuits of many, which piqued my interest in social justice.
Life is a continual learning process, which requires a strong method to develop better ways of apprenticeship. Personally, being able to obtain a higher education gives me an opportunity to be better in many ways. Everyone should have any personal goals in life in order to survive, prosper and succeed in every journey that life gives. As for me, being a University of Phoenix student, I hope to achieve all of my goals on which I have been trying to pursue and obtain through the years. They are goals that I believe I need to have to be a successful member of the society, and through attending the university I also hope to gain a more positive image of myself, build my personal growth, along with achieving
