Approaching my final student teaching stage to obtain my bachelors degree from the College of St. Rose is not only scary but exciting too. I am ready, because from the beginning of my journey, I can say with all honesty that most of my experiences with professors, teachers, classmates, students, administration, and the outside environment have all been positive, enlighten, educational, and helpful. People have told me do not worry so much about doing it right, do what works with your personality to begin with, mold it from there, or relax to learn, teaching is hard work, think about the overall objectives, smile with a positive attitude in your heart, and you will success. All great advice, in my opinion. Most personnel appeared to point me in the proper directions with care and kindness. Being able to collaborate, and reach out to my professors for clarification, without judgment was essential to my success, which I experienced for the most part. Being able to question grades and results with ease helped me grow and become a better individual, ultimately a better teacher. Every professor is different in how we are to present our research and assignments, such as lesson plans and homework. This enables us to grow and blossom in different ways. It broadens our horizon as a teacher. It developed us in areas of our strengths and weaknesses. Working as a team or with certain classmates allows for brainstorming, and knowledge building, true collaboration, and improved
Senior year rapidly is coming to an end, I’ve had the opportunity to see many of my friends come to the exciting moment in their life when they sign that dotted line and I was still waiting on my chance. My entire life I had dreamt of the day to finally committed to a college basketball team, this was my goal and it had to be my purpose in life. January 18, 2015 at 4:41 PM I got an exciting text from Truett-Mcconnell’s head coach, Matt Sanders, stating,” Good afternoon Claudia this is Coach Sanders from Truett-Mcconnell College, and I really feel like we need to begin the recruiting process with you! Sorry to bother you on a Sunday, but I just didn’t want to let time slip away! I look forward to hearing back from you!” Here was my chance!
Welcome to Mt. Edgecumbe High School! Coming here, far away from home may be nerve-racking, but you just got accepted to one of the best schools in Alaska. Not everyone who applied got accepted, which is why you shouldn’t take this opportunity for granted. Attending MEHS, Mount Edgecumbe High School, is way different from being at home; for instance, you’re not living with your parents anymore and you have to teach yourself to be independent. This may seem frightening, but by coming here you can get a better education than from where you live, which is why I encourage you to stay all four years. Since you’re a MEHS Brave now, I am going to tell you some things that I personally like and dislike about MEHS. I will also tell you what to expect while you’re
I've been trying to follow up with Savanna for 2 weeks now and finally was able to speak to her yesterday. What she offered as a solution was very disappointing. She told me that she spoke to the eBoard members prior to Spring Break and this was quite alarming to me because I was treated so poorly at the last General Meeting. There is no statue of limitations in regards to this matter and being told by Savanna, "look, there are only 2 weeks in the semester" gives a great impression that this serious matter is just not serious enough from the perspective of Student Life.
Good evening everyone and welcome to the Nova Southeastern University class of 2016 Graduation ceremony.
Hey Lisa, My name is Eric Jefferson. This is my first semester at UMD and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I'm a transfer student from Prince Georges Community College and I would love to take your class next semester, but unfortunately I didn't have time to audition this week. Is it possible If I can audition for your class next tuesday
Escondido Christian School (ECS) is a wonderful school. I have been going here since preschool, and I have over years I have seen things that are possible to change.. Maybe like more electives or change up the softball fields, little things like that. Or by adding a culinary arts class, or more girly things like cheer, higher sewing class, or even a separate drama class. This year we have gotten news that you are taking the younger children and giving them practice for the next year's play. Honestly, that is one of your brightest ideas you’ve had for this school. Two of my ideas, and what I will be writing about in this letter is upgrading the softball fields, and the equipment.
Be ready because 7th grade is going to be a wild ride! Be ready for tests, projects, and assignments galore! And on those assignments, just read them. I know, I know, everyone just skips to the questions and looks for the answers in the passage but in 7th grade it’s just better to read it. The teachers know, its like they have a 6th sense! As far as the cafeteria, the food is probably going to be the same, so just plug your nose and maybe the food will go down without a fight! When you’re going to gym, RUN! Well, don’t actually run, you might get in trouble and I would be to blame, but, seriously walk as fast as you can. You need to be there before anyone else so that you can change in a shower stall and be done with it. Adding to that, BRING
As a child, one of the most difficult parts about growing up was accepting the fact that I did not have the same lifestyle as other students. I was raised in the hands of two lovely parents, who came to the United States as Immigrants hoping for a better life. Things were never easy in our household, and most of the time my parents had to work double jobs in order to keep a roof over our heads. Most children at the age of five didn’t stress about their homework assignments, because they knew that their parents would help them when they needed it. I, on the other hand, had to go home knowing that my parents wouldn’t have the faintest idea what my assignment said. To this day, I still remember having to translate for my parents, and them telling me that everything will work out in the end.
Thank you for reaching out to William Peace University! We will absolutely send out a packet of information along with some WPU materials. Thank you for the opportunity!
Thank you so much for picking me to be the recipient of your $4,000 scholarship. You have been in my life since I was little helping me to become the person I am today. Even when I was just ten years told you were teaching me how about being coming a vet tech. At times, I wasn’t sure if becoming a vet tech was really want I wanted to do however you always never and after working with you I have no doubts that becoming a vet tech is my calling. The money from the scholarship with help me so much to be ready for Crowder College this fall. Thank you for the money and always being there for me.
I would first like to thank everyone who makes Keizer University Orlando Campus, represented by Dr. David Hubbard. If Keizer has an excellent team work this is due to the management led by you for so many years. My first contact was with my dear Consul Loyal Ray who welcomed me with great enthusiasm and encouraged me and made me believe that I could get my age back to study after 27 years of training in my country of origin Brazil. Then my second contact was with Mr. Dr Hubbard in my Orientation. I heard through your speech that Keizer treats the students as a person, not as a number. And that you have fulfilled in all the 3 years that I have lived here. I learned a lot here at Keizer and I have grown up as an American citizen
Thank you for your unwavering support of UMass Boston. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you over the course of my time at UMass Boston. From your welcome speech Freshman year to sharing the stage with you at the 2016 Fall Open House, I have learned the qualities of a powerful orator and a great leader. The framework you established at UMass Boston has allowed us to grow from the inside out. The heart of the campus was and has always been in the talented individuals within its walls. You inspired us to do our best while imagining a better UMass Boston. I am also proud to tell you that I have been accepted into the next medical cohort at UMass Medical School. With your support, this school will continue to overcome any obstacle and the students
Observing the actions of the morning students of Queens College has a strange feeling of violating someone space. Before beginning this observation assignment, I am wondering if someone will approach me inquiring for identification or just to ask me what am I doing here. Sorry for such negative feeling but the acts of 911 has everyone on alert (for which is surely justifiable). So, to endure the possibility of having to explain my being to another person will have to do. I guess such inconveniences are small compared to what might happen if we don’t inquiry about weird behaviors.
Teaching is like a draft, each time you teach you can improve your teaching. This saying my sound silly, but walk into a classroom and teach a lesson and this saying will become very relevant. Many people overestimate how easy teaching can be. Teaching is more than simple worksheets and powerpoint that provide the information. Students have variety of needs and have a variety of learning styles and as teachers we need to make accommodations for each child. There are around twenty-four students and one teacher, these twenty-four students are all unique and different. As a future teacher, walking into a classroom I needed to think about my objectives, language, assessments, feedback, how successful and unsuccessful my lesson was, and what I can work on to become a more successful teacher. All of these thoughts are going about a lesson, which can be a ten minute lesson or a sixty minute lesson. Through this practicum experience my understanding about teaching and learning has deepened and has taught me so much about what I need to work on to become a more successful teacher. As teacher we expect our students to be always working to better themselves and as teachers we need to be leading by example, if anything the experience has deepened my intrinsic motivation for becoming a better teacher. Realization that students come in a variety of different shapes and sizes, and have a variety of diversity. This experience in the classroom and depended my personal philosophy and guided
When I look back and think about my childhood; I feel like I had a pretty great one. I was lucky enough that had parents who could afford to send me to a private Christian school K-8th grade. This was a very small school with grades that were combined. This meant that the teacher was always coming up with ideas to make the work applicable to both grades. This was beneficial to me because I have always loved a challenge. If my grade level work was not challenging enough for me, often I would be allowed to work on the grade above mines work as well. This helped me grow and critically think at a young age and gave me a passion for learning. One of my favorite school memories was in Latin class. I have 7 years of Latin from elementary
