Third reason is the developmental speed of China coffee market. Chinese marketplace is a low risk marketplace. Meanwhile, Chinese coffee market is growing at a speed of 30% per year, so the capacity of this market is very large. Coffee entered in China at 100 year ago, there was no cultural conflict between coffee and native drink. Coffee as an impact of a foreign culture and an elegant life style will become more and more popular in high-income people and young people. Using the data except from 2011-2015 status and development trend of China's coffee market research report, China's current annual per capita consumption of coffee is only 3 cups, comparing with the figure in the United States and other developed countries is hundreds of cups. The instant coffee occupies more than 70 percent in the whole coffee market. Nestle coffee sales amount in china is around 1.3 billion dollars of 2011, and it was stably be the largest share in china coffee market which occupy almost 50 percent.
Chapter 2. Why chose China?
With almost 1.4 billion people, China has the largest population in the world. In other words, with the GDP of china exploded fast in last few decades, china retail market is the one of huge market in the world. I will represent Chinese business environment in this chapter.
2.1 Legal system & government position
China is the largest and most powerful communist government in existence. Unlike common law jurisdictions such as the United
According to statistics, Finland is the country with the highest per capita consumption of coffee, and China is the lowest one, but in Finland there are nearly five million residents only, which means Finland will consume a million bags of coffee every year, but the 1.3 billion residents of China will provide approximately 200 million potential coffee consumers, and this will make China becomes a major coffee market. On the other hand, under the same culture background, compare to Japan and Korea, Chinese average annual per capita consumption is only around 20 Cups, but this also means Chinese consumer coffee market has a big room for future growth.
Mr. Coffee is best known for pioneering and leading the market in the automatic drip coffeemakers. The brand was established in 1968 by Vincent Marotta and Samuel Glazer and was then part of the North American Systems, Inc.
First of all, I will tell you why we chose China. Compared to the United States, China is a place full of mystery and contrast. It interests us to see how different it is from where we live and how their government thinks different than ours. China has the world’s largest population with 1.378 billion people living there and has such a big population that families are only allowed to have one child. An ethnic group called Han Chinese make up more than 90% of the population. The first written dynasty was the Shang Dynasty in the 1700s bc. The
Many people continue to drink coffee on a daily basis. Per capita coffee consumption is expected to increase at an annual rate of 0.9% in the next five years to 2020. The industry revenue is anticipated to grow at an annual rate of 2.3% to $40.1 billion within the same period. The total revenue
Today’s China is the most populous country in the world and is so one of the most important political and economical forces in the world.
Imagine. Imagine having the continuous feeling of needing to act a certain way because that is what the government wants. Imagine having to worship in an underground church because of belonging to the "wrong" religion. Imagine being blind and not being able to learn because the government cannot accept a disability. Lastly, imagine being killed because of simply disagreeing. This is everyday life in China for many people because of what the Communist Chinese government has caused for decades. Human Rights Abuse in China has caused millions of deaths and permanent injuries. In 1979, the One Child Policy was created and ever since then the abuse has escalated into being a normal part of lives. On June 4 1989, the government took the abuse to a whole other level. This fateful day was called the Tiananmen Square crackdown. This was the day of millions of deaths. China's government truly takes human rights violations to an extreme and has caused fear among their people. The government has previously claimed
In time, China was hoped to find that social and political freedom is the only basis of that greatness. The United States has helped nurture this change by cooperating with China where possible, without allowing the differences that do exist, such as human rights, and nonproliferation commitments to interfere.
The United Kingdom’s constitution provided more protection because in China, the central governing party is the Communist Party and although power is given to the National People’s Congress to make decisions, most of those members belong to the founding Communist Party.
The People’s Republic of China with a population 1.3 billion, is the third largest country in the world and has a land size of 960,000 square kilometres. It is a rapidly growing economy, with living standards being raised every year. However, human rights violations are still a part of daily life in some part of China and can still be seen in the present time. The most controversial issues include discrimination, right to live and not to be subject to torture, freedom of religion, opinion, to fair public hearing, rights to family and the right of movement. (The Consulate General of The People's Republic of China, 2003),(Infoplease, 2009)
China has been a communist country since the communist revolution took place in 1949, since then China has been ruled by the dictator Mao Tse-Tung. However the Chinese dictator died in September 1976, he was hailed abroad as one of the worlds’ great leaders. Certainly one of the more impressive aspects of the Chinese communist government, has been the willingness of the people to protest against it (3, pg. 4).
China has faced many human rights violations, such as freedom, speech and many more. For example, China has trouble protecting the rights of their own people. They have human trafficking still, and they’re government isn’t protecting their people. “Sun Bin was able to hug his father and sister for the first time in 24 years on Tuesday, after being torn away from his family by child trafficking in1991.” It took they’re government to find them after 24 years to find one person who was missing. “Selling children for sex and profit is a major business in China, the news outlet reported.” Again China failed to stop or even start a movement to promote the protection of children. Kids here are not looked after properly. “ After the 28- year- old
The Communist Party of China is based on ideology and politics, where the majority of policies are derived from the people’s will. The Communist party tends to be made up of high ranking officials in a tight net community with a lot of power. (Chinatoday Resources, 1997) This government is known for needing to be in control of everything including; education, media, and business to name a few. Recently the Chinese president has
As for other coffee consumption facts, brewing coffee at home declined from 2006-2011 with 75% of total coffee sales made “away from home” (High Beam Business, 2012). Furthermore, an interesting study revealed the growth in this target market: “another new and large growing target market within the coffee industry is college-age students and post graduate individuals residing in urban areas. These two segments account for the largest portion of coffee drinkers” (Scribd, 2012, Marketing
A review of the estimated growth in retail sales of coffee over the next four years indicates that while sales of non-specialty coffee products are expected to decline, sales of ground specialty coffee products and whole bean coffee should rise. Further, sales of ready-to-drink products are projected to rise almost 50%.
