Gulf Coast Charter School would be the best middle school option because there are weekly field activities, technology education programs, and clubs and extracurricular activities. Gulf Coast will allow students to learn more about things that already interest them and help them to realize what they might want to be involved in during high school. One reason Gulf Coast is the best option is because it has weekly field activities. One activity the school offers is kayaking. I know I would enjoy kayaking because I was able to go kayaking and snorkeling at summer camp. Snorkeling was fun because of the stingrays and other fish. This school will provide similar opportunities for students to interact with a variety of animals. Besides
I can personally say that Whale Branch High School has been my favorite school, but I have been to two schools; in Elementary I went to Agape Christian Academy then I went to Whale Branch Middle and High. My favorite teacher ever was Mrs. Dunn. I have received a tone of rewards
I filed an application with Chesapeake Public School systems, so that I could become a part of an organization that values teamwork, dedication, and academic success. Chesapeake Public Schools exhibits a positive, collaborative, and cooperative learning environment not only for the students but for their employees as well. Being committed to the academic development and success with the help and support of students, parents, teachers, and other staff members is a plus to any working environment. These are great attributes for any organization to possess, which is why I chose to become a part of the Chesapeake Public School.

Buckingham Charter Magnet High School is well-known for not only their academic classes, but for their great art programs. The art classes that I have taken have helped me better
Did you know that Alliance Charter Academy has an online merchandise store website with over 850 school spirit items? From hoodies to key chains, to dog bandanas. This store is not hard to find. Go to Alliance Charter Academy’s website, click on the “Student Resources” button, and scroll all the way down the “Spirit Store”.
My first reason why Bath middle school is a great school is because there are so many extra curricular options. “Extra curricular options” are things mostly like clubs that go after school. Another one is extra classes similar to electives but you sign up for them not forced to have them. They can let kids make new friends or
I found the Wells Fargo/Charter School seminar to be informative and eye opening for future educators. The representative from Wells Fargo explained the programs/plans they offer to educators, which includes many perks. One of the perks is the hands on banking which educators can use to teach their students about banking, saving, and financing. The principal who spoke about his Charter School gave a very convincing presentation as to why his school is great to work at.
In 1988, Ray Budde (A University of Massachusetts Amherst Professor) felt that something needed to be done to improve the public education system in the United States. Falling test scores and rising dropout rates provoked a movement for reform. Ray Budde pointed out many restrictions set by state governments that inhibited the potential of many students and how these restrictions were damaging the educational system rather than maintaining it. He proposed a plan that would eliminate these restrictions and create a system where students would excel. This idea took hold when the American Federation of Teachers adopted the idea and set up the first “Charter Schools” in Minnesota in 1991. These were the first of many charter schools in the
Gulf Shores Middle School- On October, 22, 2015, the eighth grade students were taken, as a field trip, to Playhouse in the Park, to go and watch plays of Edgar Allan Poe poems for the mystery and suspense unit. The students were taken to see The Tell-Tale Heart, Ligeia, The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether, The Cask of Amontillado performed by the kind people at Playhouse at the Park. They did this because they’re in the mystery and suspense unit, and they have been reading Edgar Allan Poe works, such as The Tell-Tell Heart. After the plays the students were expected to create think and answer questions about what differences were in the plays, and the original pieces of writing.
Clarendon School District 1 would like to announce the up coming start of the Clarendon Promise School. The school district is committed to providing all students with a world-class education to help them achieve their fullest potential. The Clarendon Promise School is an innovated grant program dedicated to help manifest the commitment of the district. Some of the program’s objectives are to offset academic failure by providing students facing academic hurtles one-on-one instruction, apply interventions to intercept high school dropout, and minimize office referrals from student behavior
The school's sole appeal is that it is the "#1 traditional middle school in the state of Florida". Or, it was in my case. A lot of students got in automatically because they had attended Sunset Elementary, completely erasing the notion that it is a competitive school (to my knowledge this is no longer an issue, but it was when I was attending). The school, while it is #1, is only considered good because schools in Miami-Dade just generally suck. Students go to Carver believing it is an opportunity to learn more, from the best teachers the district has to offer. This is simply not the case, as, like every other school, is controlled by the district and is consequently focused on test-taking rather than learning. Again, like every other school.
Being in a charter school, the academic school day is much different than in a public school. My CT, has to have her lesson plan turned in and approved at least 2 weeks prior to the lesson. There is no room for error, let alone the students not understanding any lesson. If a lesson is taught on a Monday, the classroom will be moving on to the next lesson on Tuesday, regardless if the students understand the lesson or not. There is also no differentiation in the classroom. All of the students are given the same materials, lessons and the same amount of help. There are students with IEP’s and students with their English at basic proficiency levels. The only time that instruction is differentiated is when one specific student struggles with
Palm Beach State College (PBSC) is a local, public college that provides access to education for students of diversified ages and income levels. Although PBSC is growing the company and adding a fifth campus, the retention and completion rates are stagnant. Our retention and completion rate of First Time in College students (FTIC) has not increased over the last year.
Two weeks ago, we had a short conversation about what is the process of getting n the nursing program at FAU, and what I suppose to do to get financial support for the school fees. And how much the four years program will cost. I have financial aid at Broward College, pretty soon they are going to kick me out, because I have bunch of credit.
CCS is a great school because there is a flexible schedule so it’s really easy to have vacations. There are high expectations so it’s easier to meet them and learn. Once you get to high school it will be easy writing essays or just regular work in every class. At CCS there is less drama that you would find at a middle school since you know a lot of the kids. It’s also a lot smaller than a regular middle school so you can make friends easier. The dress code is stricter than you would find in a middle school, but it really does help.
