The story of Whitbread PLC started in 1742, a period that Samuel Whitbread set up the first brewery. Eight year later, Whitbread PLC migrated to Chiswell Street in London and became the first huge brewery across Britain. In addition, Whitbread PLC was a famous brand in brewery sector up to 2001 when it sold off its brewery (Bill, 2007). Whitbread PLC diversified in various sectors such as wines and spirits but later concentrated its operations on hotels and restaurants (Bill, 2007). Premier Inn is a famous brand of Whitbread PLC other brands are Taybarns, Table Table, Brewers Fayre, Costa Coffee among others. Premier Inn is United Kingdom’s biggest hotel with an occupancy rate of more than 80 percent in over 590 hotels and more than 43,000 rooms in UK and Ireland. The hotel is strategically located because most of the hotel’s brands are found on major routes and street. By and large, Premier Inn brand pledge is all about giving customers “a good sleep”. Moreover, Premier is award winning hotel with a geographical spread that facilitates roughly 75 percent of United Kingdom’s population (Bill, 2007). The hotels bedrooms are constructed in a manner that all have internet connectivity, television and bathroom. All the hotel’s brands have a bar as well as a restaurant, in the hotel or adjacent to it, which offers and serves different dishes. These facilities and services are provided at affordable rates.
