Though this law has its challenges it's beneficial for US citizens. Case in point Canada's healthcare system . Every citizen has healthcare and it is paid through taxes. This law also helps medical professionals pay loans and gain scholarships. Some people are saying it's unethical due to the bill of rights. They claim that people living in the US only have rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. How can anyone have these three things if they are in poor health?

The National Prevention Strategy aim is to increase the number of Americans to live healthy in every stage of their life (CDC, 2014). It provides leadership at the federal level that emphasize on prevention, wellness, and health promotion and its landmark represented in a vision, goals, strategic direction, priorities, recommendation, and act. The National preventive strategy supports the Affordable Care Act, as both of them emphasize on the importance of prevention for all Americans.

The Affordable care act was enacted in order to reform the health insurance industry and to make health insurance more affordable and to provide better health care coverage for the citizens of the United States. The Obama administration set out with the goals of: expanding access to health insurance, lower the uninsured rate, and to reduce the costs of healthcare. Americans have been faced with a new health care reform act known as Affordable Care Act initiated in 2010. Why was it so important for this nation to reform is health care system? How are we sure the ACA is improving our system for the American people? For many years, the health care industry has left many Americans uninsured. With health care costs on the rise and very few able to afford costs, and the quality of care in underserved areas not what it should be has left this nation largely unhealthy. Several landmark reports, including the Center for Disease Control factsheets and the Healthy People 2020 have astounding statistics confirming these alarming rates and clearly identifying the need for reform. The Affordable Care Act is the starting foundation for Americans to start investing in their own promotion of wellness and disease prevention. By choosing healthier lifestyle changes, individuals can make a difference which in turn will improve our nation’s overall health for the better.

President Barack Obama’s plan for healthcare reform was plan to make sure that every citizen no matter what his or her race, background, or economic status has quality affordable healthcare. With the passing of Obamacare, American citizens live longer as a result of effective healthcare coverage at a lower cost. Currently insurance companies have the power to deny coverage, drop people from their policies, and raise the cost of premiums. Whether you call the current healthcare reform Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act, it was designed so that every American would have healthcare that is affordable. When you consider that the United States is said to be the land of opportunity, the thought of being sick and not being able to get the treatment that you need for an illness is unconstitutional.

The ACA was designed with initiatives to bridge these disparities. To combat these diseases, there is going to have to be better patient education initiatives. In these areas, there are few places to access quality care for these individuals. However, if we educated them on the importance of their health and controlling chronic illnesses such as hypertension, and promote prevention services, the health care system and the patients would both benefit. Jihyae’s parents are missionaries served in Kazakhstan and China, and I have known her parents for more than 15 years. We had served in Kazakhstan together, and I had a privilege to witness their ministry and build the relationship with them since then. Her parents are devoted Christians serving Jesus in everyday life regardless of the hardship they experience, and they have been a good influence for people around them- including my family. I can confidently say that Jihyae is raised under strong Christian influence, and her parents are the biggest reason why Jihyae chose to further her knowledge in Christian education. While serving in both countries, Jihyae has been a great help for her parents as her parents had to leave their younger brothers to Jihyae while they are evangelizing. Her sense of responsibility has been developed through her position as the biggest of child. Jihyae has been a significant part of their ministry as she served the people her parents invited for evangelism, and even as a young girl, she has been a fellow-worker with her fervent prayers.
