B.How references are cited in the paper (i.e., first reference used in the paper should be the first reference on the Reference page).

Here is the section of the style guide that might help you with your citations.

Begin your paper with an appropriate introduction, including a thesis statement to introduce the purpose of the paper.

Your introduction should move from general information to very specific information. You should imagine familiarizing the reader with: 1.) the title and author 2.) some information about the text 3.) your topic 4.) your thesis and three examples. Be sure to include:

Book Citation: Write the full citation of your book below (either MLA, Chicago, or APA). When you are writing your responses to the questions, be sure to paraphrase and use quotes sparingly. By putting the information from your research into your own words, you can show that you have a deeper knowledge of the material. Furthermore, papers overloaded with quotations may distract your instructor from your own ideas and writing. Use a quotation from a source only when there is absolutely no better way to present the information. A well-written paper balances quotations and paraphrases with your own interpretation of the research.
