I am a type of person that like structure when it comes to business and work. I like to know exactly what I need to do when different situations arise. So I always think of different possibilities that may arise in my work environment and what will I do in that situation before it happens. However, from me working in the emergency department, you never can predict all situation that may occur in work environment, so have to quickly find solution right then, to solve issues that I may have never thought will happen. Even though working in a chaotic place like the emergency department that is trauma one unit in savannah is out of my comfort zone, I have learned a great numerous of skills, and I sometimes like the excitement and the accomplishment of getting through the day. I learn that for any situation that occurs that you have to know your surroundings and how to get the resources you need out of to solve your situations. I know it is going to long journey to where I want to be in live as long as I just keep pushing forward I will get
The superior act of living an effective life lies in the pursuit of excellent vision, to move from where we are to where we ought to be, either as a person or as an organization. A health care leader must motivate the organizational team, find how to work with the associates to effectively dedicate their time and energy to achieve the identified goals and objectives through the established vision. The team members need to buy into the vision, where they are currently doing what the leader envisions, the leader must encourage them, keep them on track and set standards for the team by setting goals and objective, flowing from the vision. This will enable the leader to move the health care organization to the expected performance level within the set time period. The leader must ensure that individual responsibilities of the associates are identified, motivated and resources provided to achieve the identified goals. To pursue the vision, I will lead the development of the health care organization’s strategic alignment of clear goals and objectives, to preserve the core mission and encourage progress toward the envisioned future state. Also, I will encourage and provide the direction for the organization without hindering the development of the goals that we expect to accomplish.
Registered nurses work alongside physicians providing patient care in a variety of ways. A few examples of what nurses are responsible for include: administering medications, tracking patient’s vital signs, helping to diagnose and properly treat patient aliments and educating the patient and their family on their condition and the course of treatment. Depending on what area of medicine a nurse works in will determine more generalized and specific duties and responsibilities. There are many different areas a nurse may work in. Some areas include: obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency room, and many more. The ASC (Ambulatory Surgical Center) provides a variety of career opportunities. Basically, a ASC is a health care facility where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed. I have been able to shadow several jobs within the ASC. Out of all the careers, a PACU nurse sparked an interest. PACU Nurses are specialized to work in the post anesthesia care unit. They provide intensive care and treatment for patients who have gone under anesthesia. PACU RNs can also be referred to as a recovery room nurse.
My career goals have led me to Cedars-Sinai, to a residency program that provides both the academic opportunities and continuity and intimacy of care I desire. Through the program’s academic partnership, I aspire to chase lifelong learning via research and inspire other’s to better the world through education; through its ambulatory experience, I aim to be a voice for the marginalized and to practice within a diverse clinical setting. Most importantly, I wish to train at Cedars-Sinai because I have seen the internists approach care of my family with an empathetic and holistic approach I hope to emulate.
The intent of a leader is to implement change, instill inspiration, orchestrate collaboration, and empower their followers to go beyond their limitations. Nurses are leaders who strive to improve the overall quality of patient care by leading those around them to participate in the vision of the corporation. He or she must be fully aware of the organization’s philosophy, clearly state its expectations, and possess the ability to develop well-versed and quality leaders (Tinkham, 2013). Every health care organization possesses a vision, a mission statement, and core values that every member functioning under that union must adhere to. Goals, achievements, and adjustments are essential to ensuring that the vision of the organization is being met and evaluated for positive outcomes. However, getting workers to believe and abide by the vision of the facility calls for effective and stimulating leaders. According to Schwartz, Spencer, Wilson, and Woods (2011), “Success in the workplace often is contingent on a leader’s ability to effect positive change and inspire others to higher levels of achievement” (p. 737).
A successful and societally beneficial healthcare organization must have a leader who has a sense of right and wrong, exhibits restraint, dispenses wisdom, and is a visionary that guides the organization to reach its maximum potential. The role of a successful leader is dependent upon employees that embrace the organization’s culture, mission, and direction. An effective leader rallies employee support and allegiance to the organization’s cause. An influential leader can elicit employee positivity and dedication, and has the ability to engage employees in achieving goals set forth by the organization and leadership.

Now days I believe it is essential for people to have good computer skills and knowledge. Including all computer software’s like Word, Excel and Power Point. I am mainly interested in working as a medical office administrator. Office administrators are responsible for all information management and organizing medical records. Excel can be used to keep track of medications, prescriptions, payments and many other health information. Because of this I believe anyone seeking a career in medical office administration should really take excel as part of their curriculum.
In a hospital setting, medical billers perform different functions than medical billers that work in a physician's office. Some of the medical coding is different, also different procedure coding. I want to work in the hospital setting because I believe I can be more help and it can be more challenging for
As a result, I am able to adapt well to a variety of work environments and instances where priorities change quickly. Often times, there are emergency situations and the office is extremely busy. In these circumstances, I motivate the team to work together and accomplish tasks effectively while being open to new ideas or opportunities. Furthermore, my experience with a variety of populations allows me to challenge myself and view health from a different perspective. For example, being in such a diverse and multicultural country, language barriers play a huge role in health care. These types of challenges aid in my professional growth because I develop skills that help me sense one's needs, provide compassion and engage in comprehensive thinking to be of service to that
Healthcare has many different areas one can go into if interested in this field. Both are respected jobs and require a tremendous amount of caring for others.
