September 11, 2001 was a very horrible day. The twin towers was hit by 2 planes. The 2 planes hit the sides , middle of the buildings. When the planes hit , their was people inside working. The planes hit like mid way through the building. The people was struck at the top of the building but the people who was below escaped. Some people was hurt or killed because of the planes and the buildings. Some thoughts of 9/11 still plays through people heads from time to time. The economy decreased. The economy decreased because people had lost their jobs and their love ones. They couldn't buy or sell any products. They was depending on their families. But now a days people or losing their jobs because of the salary, hours or they just don't do
"A plane just crashed right into one of the Twin Towers!" Someone yelled. People were screaming because they were on fire. Others were fleeing for their life, but all I could do was stare in awe at the smoking hole in one of the biggest towers in New York. September 11, 2001, one of the most devastating days for me, and for all of America.
The September 11 attacks were set of four terrorist attacks controlled by al-Qaeda, an Islamic terrorist group. On September 11, 2001, four aircrafts were hijacked by the terrorists; two of the planes hit Twin towers in New York, third hit the Pentagon and the fourth one crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania (“9/11 Attacks”). The September 11 attacks had several long-term negative effects that include Social effects, Psychological effects, Physical health effects, Economic effects and many more. But of all those effects, Economic effects were the most suffered ones. The 9/11 attacks triggered the devastation of American economy (Miley). Although it has been 12 years since the episode and America has recovered a lot, American
On the day September 11, 2001 it started off like any other day, people going to work, kids going to school and people flight to places. It happen in the morning at 8:46 A.M when the first plane had hit the world trade center. Many people believe that the
September 11th, 2001 is a date that will be forever remembered by many. It was one of the most terrifying and horrendous days ever experienced in the United States. Just this one event impacted every American, as well as effected others all over the world in some type of traumatic way. Best known as, 9/11. It marked a time that changed society forever instantly.
On September 11, 2001 is a very known and sad date for every american. On this day four different terrorist planes hit the largest buildings, the twin towers were 50,000 people work. When this happened everybody had to not become selfish and needed to help one another. After this took place many people died and were
9.11.01 was a horrifying day for the people of America, as well as many others from across the globe. It has been 14 years since that day and people will still be remembering this day forever. People will never forget 9.11, where two planes that were hijacked by Islamic people sent by Osama Bin Laden and flown into the twin towers, and another plane that had hit the pentagon. I think of this day as the saddest day that America had ever had.
September 11, 2001 is the saddest day that America has ever experienced. The terrorist attack that took place killed over 2,000 innocent American citizens and left their families and loved ones in sorrow. The terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001 was such a terrifying day every single American and for every other country in the world. The United of America will never forget 9/11, the day Osama Bin Laden planned a terrorist attack on the United States by hijacking two passenger planes and steering them into the World Trade Center, and hijacking a third plane and steering it into the Pentagon. The field trip that we took to the 9/11 Memorial this past Monday was a great and humbling experience. Being that I was only four
The attacks on September 11th, 2001 were a series of four terrorist attacks using planes around the Washington D.C. area by the Islamic terrorist group known as al-Qaeda. The attacks were used to target symbolic U.S. landmarks. With 2,996 recorded deaths, it changed the face of national security forever. Which in turn, changed the way my generation will live their life.
During 9/11 it dealt with its most difficult year. The United States had welcomed 60 million international visitors. 4.8 million more visitors than in 2009. The visitors who came to the United States injected more than $134.4 billion in the U.S. alone. Even with a strong recovery, the industry related employment has not recovered. The lack of demand for travel and tourism related goods took a major toll on this industry. In 2010 there was 44% total of overseas arrivals to the United States. The travel and tourism exports increased 12% when put up to 2009. In the international market many of the different places opened up for demand and ended up ranking in higher visitor spending percentages. Employment dropped 1.4% in 2010, 7.8% in 2009. There was nearly 112,000 jobs lost in 2010 due to it reducing its labor force by nearly 11 million.
The 11 September is a date that nobody in the world can forget, especially the US people. The source I found is "September 11 and New York City's Workers: The Personal Observations of a Working-Class Historian" written by Richard Greenwald, here the author analyze the days after the attack from the points of view of the normal workers. It is similar to the short story I read with the name "Fear & Loathing in America" written by Hunter S. Thompson, also this story talks about the day after the attack from the point of view of normal people. The first story I cited impressed me because it is very sincere, the author says how many people in the neighborhood had a story to tell, who had a son dead, who had a cousin dead, who risked to lose his life. Every people had a story to tell but the day after, nobody had
On the morning of September 11, 2001, four hijackers carried out their plan of a terrorist attack on the United States. At about 9 A.M. on that day the first plane with hijacker, Mohammed Atta, crashed into the North Tower in New York City. Shortly thereafter the second hijacked plane crashed into the South Tower, alerting the United States that this was an act of terrorism. At 9:37 A.M., Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon in Washington D.C., putting the United States on high alert and shutting down flights throughout the nation. The World Trade Center, including both the North and the South Towers, collapsed early that morning, not too long after being struck by the hijacked planes. While these acts of terror had immediate physical and emotional effects on the nation, the attack also had both short-term and long-term economic effects on the United States.
They later found out that flight 93 was supposed to hit the white house, but luckily it didn't. 9/11 is also the number to call the police if you need them or someone is injured. All parts of the twin towers collapsed. George W. Bush once said “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.” All of the terrorist that attacked were believed to be from the Middle East. After the attacks of 9/11 the government did everything they could to keep the united states safe. This day is still remembered to this day and probably always will be remembered. The twin towers were the tallest building in New York's City and, at one point they were the tallest buildings in the world. Each tower was 250,000 tons, had 99 elevators, and had 21,800 windows. The twin towers had its own zip code. This zip code was 10048. The twin towers were built in 1973 and the rest of the buildings had been built within the next 15 years. The twin towers attracted about 70,000 tourist and commuters every day. This was a sad day in history for a lot of people. Some say that Bush did 9/11 but, if he did why was he doing stuff to
September 11th, 2001 is one of the most tragic days United States history and is a day that will truly be remembered throughout time. Many innocent people lost their lives on that day in 2001. On that day many heroes emerged some expected and some unexpected. September 11th, 2001 was such a tragic day because of all the firemen and first responders who lost their life and all the unexpected heroes who lost their life.
The lives of those that witnessed the crumbling of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 will never be the same. There were multiple attacks that happened on this day, but the main attacks were in New York City. The 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center were one of the most tragic events to happen in New York City, but there have been things said about George Bush and him knowing about the attacks and that the government was behind it.
September 11, 2001 is a day that I will never forget what I was doing that moment when we witnessed the second plane hit the second tower I knew then we were under attack, it was the first time I have lived to witness a direct attack on U.S. soil. At this moment everyone knew that the U.S. was going to be yet another war in the in the Middle East (Africa). The economy changed dramatically post 9/11 America and we would soon discover that we were in the middle of a financial crisis our economy was slowly deteriorating. The history of the United States economy post 9/11 has transformed over time due to changes in government policies and regulations, advancement in technology and financial sectors has caused a wave of financial concerns.
