How Grade Seven Affected My School Habits

The two school years prior to this one have had an enormous effect on my school habits, marks, and general lifestyle. It may have been difficult at times, though I learned more than I ever had in elementary and made new friends as well. It was an entirely new experience. I had been in advanced through both years of middle school, finding grade seven to be much more difficult than eight. I believe this was due to me having rarely received homework prior to grade seven and then suddenly receiving it nightly. I often got incredibly stressed out and once even cried. Still, I managed to achieve alright grades, my highest being ninety-three percent in English and my lowest seventy in Math. In grade eight I found much higher success, and I found that I was rarely stressed out or overworked. My highest mark was ninety-nine percent in Science, and my lowest ninety-percent in Math. Through both grades seven and eight I took performing arts, which was one of my favourite subjects. It became one of my favourites as I like acting very much, even if I do not care much for dancing or singing. Like in most of my classes, I found my second year of performing arts to be better than the first. We played a lot of Just Dance (my one exception to my dislike for dancing) and did swordplay; it was very exciting and I do not recall it ever boring me. Another class I had a soft spot for was cooking, which was entirely due to the fact that we got to eat delicious food for free. My favourite recipe was making cinnamon buns, and I still used a variation of the same recipe today. I also held the class in high regard as I believe cooking to be an incredibly useful skill, and every one of the recipes in the cookbooks I received can be done in under an hour.
