People from everywhere leave their country and families to immigrate to United States looking for the “America Dream.” The term America Dream has different interpretation for everyone. For some people America Dream means the pursuit of material prosperity, for others it means achieving their personal goals in life that they could not achieve in their homeland. Every citizen of the United State of America has the opportunity of achieving it, but it will depend on their perseverance and effort of them. If everyone has the same opportunities in America why do some people's dreams get realize, and others don not? After a year living here, she realized the “America Dream” would not come true, if she does not go to the school and get a career. So she did it!. she started taking two classes at night, then three. After almost 6 years she finally graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management. Then she starts working as a banquet's supervisor at the hotel Holiday Inn in Stamford, Ct. After a little while, she was promoted to banquet manager. Mery made a tremendous effort doing all this, but at the end she felt that it was worth it. Now she has a better life than before, and she can give her family the stability that they need. She said that immigrating with her family was not easy, because she had more responsibilities than others, but it did not stop her and they were the reason that pushed to achieve her dream. As another immigrant in this country, I have my own “America Dream”. This dream is that one day I can graduate as an Ultrasound Technician. When I think in my America dream I can see myself working in a hospital. All my life I wanted to work in the field. Unfortunately, in my country it was too expensive at the time . While I have been living for one year in America, I saw my friend going to the school at night and working so hard looking for her dream, I realized that the America Dream would realizing through a career, so I decided do the same thing.
