1. Should Allen Lopez be allowed to keep his job with Extreme Net? Support your answer using ethical theory. Allen has acted in a manner which defeats the confidentiality clause of the business. There seems to be a in-depth description of Extreme Net’s business. He should not be allowed to keep his job work in the company though his fight for the employees is just and fair. The organization feels that Allen has been instigating employees and the ethical theory applicable here is that Extreme Net has been facing economic downturns and can lay off employees. The leadership should speak to Allen regarding his concerns and ensure that Allen is explained about the procedure for laying off employees and take him into confidence regarding any ideas that Allen could have regarding how employees should be laid off.
I believe that Allen should be made to understand the philosophy behind the company’s employee polices and use the equity and just ethical theory to make Extreme Net’s position clear.
4. How can ExtremeNet’s leadership best repair the relationship? The best way to repair the relationship is by transformational and participative leadership. By empowering Allen to understand the position of the company Extreme Net can try to redress the grievances that Allen has. The best way to move forward is to communicate to the employees about the position of the company and what the company feels best for the employees and wait for their feedback.

Dyck and Neubert (2012) defined ethics as "[A] set of principles or moral standards that differentiate right from wrong". It is a way of determining the morality of any action. It is important that managers adhere to ethical principles that will guide them in making appropriate and ethical decisions for the company. Thus, Roger Berg, being Vice-President of Planning at The Lake Corporation plays a significant role in the company in ensuring that decisions are made without tarnishing management ethics. He must face and weather through the challenges caused by other sources that could put him in ethical dilemma situations and push him to render management decisions violating ethics.
Ethics and moral obligations are issues we all encounter at one time or another. In the professional setting, all people should act in a manner that would uphold the good of society. To be ethical, one has to determine their obligations, moral ideas, and moral philosophy (Boatright, p. 19, 2009). The case analysis involving Jacob Franklin was a perfect example of how an individual can face the dilemma of doing what is right or wrong. Businesses have their own code of ethics, and the employees within the business have to determine whether or not they will follow the company’s code of conduct. I will discuss several ethical issues in the case analysis including; failure to report information, remaining silent regarding faulty equipment,
Assessment tools can be a good start for individuals to assess their leadership characteristics and skills, such as Grossman and Valiga’s Leadership Characteristcs and Skills
Discuss: Laws are set rules that may help guide our conduct but they do not always agree. Some ethical issues are not legally required, but ethically warranted. We have recently seen a prime example of someone standing by their ethics, but breaking the law in the recent case of the Kentucky woman refusing to provide a certificate of marriage to a gay couple. There is a connection between ethical behavior within an organization and its chances of long-term survivability. Any unethical issues will come to light at some point and they will destroy the company. Although some unethical behaviors may not be unlawful, they can destroy a brand. Kathy Lee Gifford did not do anything illegal by allowing children in other country to sew her clothing
For this assignment, I have decided to use the leadership trait, skills and style questionnaires. For this questionnaire, I asked 5 different people that know me in different contexts in life, such as personal, school, and work environments. For the majority, I rated myself higher on the traits than my fellow colleagues. On some of the traits however, I was rated higher than what I thought. Overall, I averaged a 4/5 which means that everyone agreed with the traits that were given. For the style questionnaire, I found out that I place more emphasis in building relationships rather than completing tasks. Finally, the skills questionnaire, my leadership skills are in the high range for technical skills, and my human and conceptual skills are in the moderate range.

Ethical is a word used to describe moral principles. While watching the movie Erin Brockovich, I was compelled by the unethical issues that presented themselves. The organizational culture at CrudeOil is that it’s a company that is in need of help to increase their sales and they decided to hire someone who would produce immediate results. They hired Jim who got the sales up after 18 months on the job, even though his method wasn’t appreciated by many. Jim, is not a good person to be a manager or role model to the company even though he gets the job done. He has poor managing skills, he’s harsh, intimidating and lacks leadership in moral and ethical standards. His behavior is pushing away his employees and in turn they won’t come to him to seek guidance.

b. What are some of the reasons for the ARC's ethical dilemmas, and how can the organization guarantee that these problems will not recur in the future?
Furthermore, the trait leadership approach serves as a benchmark for which individuals tend to measure their own leadership qualities, and also for the organisations to identifying suitable and competent leaders (Northouse, 2013). This approach makes trait assessments valuable for assessing a potential leader's strengths and weaknesses, and trait measures are a good way to understand the behaviour of leaders; how they fit into the organisational hierarchy and a possible future course of action.
They need to meet the complete team and discuss the actual issues the employees facing.
