In this day in age, the majority of the people on this planet use their smartphones for everything. Smartphones have become an essential part of our everyday lives; not only because of the variety of ways to communicate with each other, or the convenience of checking in on the most current events, but by the new video content that we entertain ourselves with. Video content has grown rapidly within the last two years. With more than half of the wireless traffic coming from smartphone use, which says a lot about much more people use their phone to stream video content. With that being said, Verizon has been testing out a new wireless innovative technological way to stream content efficiently with the help of LTE-B.
LTE-B technically stands for “LTE Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS), but from a marketing stand point, it can stand for either “LTE-broadcast” or “LTE-multicast”. Verizon has been trying to fully push this type of technology to its current US nationwide network for a while now. Which is projected to expand full force in 2017, due to its recent announced LTE-Broadcast Alliance. In order for LTE-B to reach a global scale and support every top-tier device, the alliance will consist of wireless networks like, Verizon, Telstra, KT, and EE. Now that this type of LTE-B global alliance is formed, this indicates that there is a greater amount of support for LTE-B expansion. Over the past decade, we have integrated technology into many parts of out lives. We use our cell phones for everything from finding directions, to taking pictures of moments you do not want to forget. Everywhere you go, you cell phone goes with you, if you forget it at home, somehow we feel naked without it. Cell phones have become so powerful and useful for so many things other than just making phone calls; I do not even know why we still call them phones. With that, we have the right to feel secure and free from unwarranted searches though our cell phones and electronic devices.
In the article "Our Cell Phones, Ourselves," by Christine Rosen, she explains the dependency on cell phone use while highlighting unforeseen consequences that may occur with cellular device use. From allowing parents to track down their children, to having a casual conversation with a friend, cell phones offer people an unparalleled level of convenience. Furthermore, cell phone owners feel much safer knowing that in an emergency, help is just a phone call away. This convenience, however, does not come without any negative effects. Many cell phone owners become too engrossed in their phones and therefore ignore the physical world, an idea that Rosen refers to as "absent presence.” Also, people may use their phones as a way to prove they are
Less than a decade ago, the telecom operators in the U.S., Western Europe, and Japan were upgrading their existing networks to high-speed 3G technologies. Now the world telecommunications industry is about the switching to the next-generation super-fast 4G technologies.
Over the past few decades, technology has changed dramatically in our country. Cell phones were invented about forty years ago, and have been perfected every year since. Cell phones, or smart phones have affected the lives of many individuals in our country by providing a direct line of communication, access to social media, and connect individuals to new marketplaces and jobs.
Cell Phones are objects that we see all around us every day, at all times of the day. However, everyone uses their cell phones in different ways for different reasons. The younger generation of this era does not know how it was in the past without such advanced technology like we have nowadays. Depending on the way that the owner of the phone uses it, shows how important it really is in their daily life and its importance in the owner’s lifestyle. In my opinion, cellphones are important to everyone of all ages because they inform us when there are amber alerts or weather alerts, to stay in contact with others just in case of an emergency, and to get around places with the use of google maps or other apps that are meant for maps.
The discovery of cellphones is one of the countless innovations in the past years that improve our everyday lives. The wide use of cell phones has caused a remarkable impact on physical, and social aspects of our life. Cell phones impacts have contributed positively to our lives, but still others have influenced negatively on our life.
There is a new and more powerful drug that is plaguing our nation and the sad thing, is everyone in our nation is addicted to this deadly drug, the cell phone.
Cell phones have become a necessary part of society. At least any teenager will tell you so. Many Americans have cellular devices, but the main age group I’d say ranges from thirteen to twenty-five years old. These are the ones who depend on cell phones to communicate with others. Cell phones were originally created to be a phone you can use on the go to make calls instead of using a landline, however; these crazy devices have now added features such as calculators, alarm clocks and even note pads. The features don’t stop there though, people use their phones for emailing, texting, video games, and searching the internet. The most popular feature of cell phones in today’s society is social media. Everyone seems to have Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram and sadly it seems like people are judged if they don’t.
For America, everything is innovative. Each day our lives get easier. Especially with today’s modern technology. Smartphones were a huge advancement for America. They are basically computer in our pockets. We can use them to get in touch with someone anywhere in the world. We have a phone, calculator, calendar, clock, timer, stopwatch, compass, alarm, the news, the weather, reminders, a camera, MP3 player, and map all in our hand. No matter where we are in the entire world! America’s gift to my generation is technology.
My phone has impacted my life in many ways. First, entertainment keeps me fascinated. I use Instagram to see what my friends are doing and to keep in touch of them. When I go to a place that I find is cool, I will take a cool picture and post it so my friends will see it. YouTube is a big part of my life. For example, every day when I get home I sit on the couch and watch YouTube for about 30 minutes as a break from school work. Also, communicating is easy to use. I communicate with my parents when I am at a party or just hanging out with my friends. For instance, when I bike up to the Harris Teeter or the Franklin Farm shopping center and meet up with my friends, I text my mom or dad saying that I am there so they know that I got there ok.
Thesis: The usage of cell phones in modern day society has caused quite the problem for citizens in this generation by being a major distraction, causing addictions, and has sadly became the main resource of communication.
At first, I was going to analyze and write about smartphones, however I found it more efficient to write also about a particular smartphone to narrow it down from such a broad technological artifact, such as answering who designed it, what for, what their position and the impact they want to have on society was, and their future visions. Therefore, I chose the iPhone as the centerpiece of smartphones I will be analyzing and an emphasis on applications. However, some of this information is relevant and interchangeable to all other smartphones. IPhones and smartphones allow us to access constant information and offer it the way we want it, as it is completely customizable now to fit our learning style. They keep us organized, send information to us in different ways, even shape and offer solutions such as for politics, economies, problems whether individual ones or globally. Smartphones capitalize on shared knowledge and has opened the door to inventors and those who have the knowledge to make our world a more connected place and lives easier by sharing it with us to use. We are able to communicate with other people far off, through space-time compression or shrinking-space to gather news and information.
Following the time when the mid 1980s, phones have been rapidly moving their route into our commonplace lives, particularly with the presentation of cam telephones in the early part of the new thousand years. As cells develop they have more of an effect on our commonplace lives and I need to exactly how much they are affecting. Similarly as with new engineering in whatever other structure, phones have changed enormously over their generally short life compasses. As these progressions happen, so does the populaces like and here and there loathe for these new advanced cells. One of the real issues happening with cell telephones in present day times is that individuals use them at wrong times, for example, when they are looking at of a market. Despite the fact that there are a couple negative perspectives about phones, my exploration and my paper are going to mostly the profits of Pdas in the United States of America. My exploration concentrates on a few key regions in wireless correspondence, for example, the advancement of Pdas, content informing, Pdas and other PDA applications and in addition my own particular exploration including a overview that I dispersed to some of my colleagues.

Every day of our lives, we watch as technology advances in leaps and bounds, so it was only logical when the cell phone came into existence, it would also be important to develop ways for a phone to be more than just a phone. With the explosion of the internet age people needed a way to bring their computers on the go, one that could fit in the palm of their hand. Whether it be checking emails, updating social networks or even playing games, smartphones seem to do it all. There is however, a dark side to every technological advance to everything that makes our lives more convenient. Smartphones are not only a huge distraction in our lives but are also known to cause health problems in those that use them and even have negative effects on society as a whole.
