I How has social networking changed communication?
The topic I selected to research is social networking and how it has changed communication in all aspects of life. I chose this topic because I am interested in learning more information about social media and how it has affected people’s communication skills. I am curious to discover how each source of social media affects communication.
Everyday people use their cellular devices to either text, call, or video chat. However, over the past few years, social media has taken a toll on how people communicate. I am aware of the change because I use social media as a communication tool to reach out to my friends and family. For example, I use a social app called Snapchat to speak with my friends through pictures and video.I believe it 's a good source of communication because it is an entertaining way to contact someone by using humorous filters. Another example is Facebook because my parents uses a personal inbox messenger to contact business inquires for work use.
Social network has taken over my communication by decreasing my social skills with others. However, social media has helped me connect with others for planning social outings, school projects, and reaching out to long lost friends and family. It is important to know how has social networking affects our social lives. My approach towards my research topic is to discover how social networking increases and decreases
A prevalent issue regarding social media and interactions exists between researchers and social network users. Social media is currently changing how relationships between people are created. Relationships can exist through people across the world through social media and can produce more emotional bonds with friends that you can see everyday. On the other hand, social media also could present conflicts due to the fact that some of these relationships can become unhealthy and that people could change to be more dependent on internet friends, becoming introverted.

In this study, we will find out if social media being present will cause conversation to take place between groups of people that know each other, as well as complete strangers. What also will be recorded is whether the use of social media will result in social media interactions, as opposed to face to face interactions. An example of this would be if a person using social media on their tablet saw a YouTube video, and due to how funny they found the video, they then proceeded to text friends or post information on Facebook and/or Twitter about the video.

Since people are spending such a large amount of time surfing social networks, it is important to point out some of the positive and negative effects that social networking can have on a society.
