I remember the breeze whipping my ponytail all around and the boat moving with the sparkling, blue waves when all of a sudden there was a huge tug on my fishing pole….
Throughout the whole summer, I caught many different types and sizes of fish. Some of the fish were larger than others like my personal best smallmouth bass that measured in at 18 ½ inches long. That same rainy day that I caught the smallmouth, I caught my first and largest carp. The carp was super slimy and disgusting, so I made my dad hold it while we took our picture. Continuing our eventful day of fishing, I caught my biggest northern while jigging. I remember being ecstatic and shocked while catching all these decent fish, also being content that I outfished my dad. By the end of the day, we had caught 122 fish total. Although I caught

Do not get me wrong, I love being outside breathing in the fresh air, but all I really wanted was to feel the excitement of catching a big walleye. The trip was getting so tedious by handing my mom and dad minnows, they should have been the ones to be handing me a minnow, after all, I should have been out fishing them. On that frustrating trip, I probably only caught two fish in six hours. I hope no one ever has to go on a fishing trip feeling peevish the whole time.
All my previous fishing trips have been exciting and adventurous, but one breezy July day was the best trip of all! I was on the boat with my dad and mom, we were catching decent fish while listening to the radio. When all of sudden the new, gray fishing pole in my hand gave a big yanking tug. I gasped, not knowing what was on the other side of the pole. I was just catching mediocre fish a second ago, all I knew was that was not an average fish. Suddenly, the mysterious fish flashed out of the water in a glimpse of a second, only my dad saw what it was, right when he caught a sight of it he yelped.
¨It´s a huge walleye!¨ my dad
The first time I went fishing was with my dad.We were fishing at a campsite out in the middle of nowhere. On the way to the lake we saw a little baby fox running through the woods. My dad told me a story about when
Right when I arrived at the lake, a storm came and the lightning became too dangerous. This ended the night early, without even getting a bite. "There will always be another day" I told myself, as we headed back to the truck. A call from my grandpa one afternoon, led to the news that there were Channel Catfish stacked on a rock pile in the local area, which was definitely good news to
After more great memories were made during the second voyage down the Kern, our raft came to a screeching half. We hit a large rock that was sticking out of the water. Our raft quickly folded in half into the shape of a taco, and my grandpa held onto his side of the rap before falling into the water and flowing down the intense waters. I tried to lunge at him and catch him, but I was not quick enough. I watched him sail down the river in the California Lounge Chair Position. I held onto hope that he would be safe.
My family and I had been riding a big red bus to the park we had been riding for two minutes and I knew it in my bones that it was close. But I didn't know if it was good, if I would just swim with dolphins or if there was more too it I kept thinking about it. Until I got there.
This fishing rod has helped me catch plenty of fish in my life but I had no idea that I was about to be able to catch as many fish as I did. I packed the fishing rod into my truck and went down to the lake. Once I got to the lake I unpacked and got set up for fishing. I got my rod and my worms and began to try to catch a few fish. I had no idea that I was about to catch a lot of fish on this particular day. After about 15 minutes I felt a tug on the rod. I pulled up a nice size fish. This was by far the quickest that I had ever caught a fish. I placed the fish in the bucket. I didn’t expect to catch another fish for the rest of my time out there but what happened next surprised me. About 30 minutes later I caught another fish. This one was even bigger than the last one that I had
I had no idea what fishing was like. My brother, dad, and mom were coming too, but my mom wasn’t going to fish, she was just going to help is get ready and set up. My dad was probably the most enthusiastic about teaching me to fish, and he also probably helped me the most. We were looking for a good fishing spot, when a lady who was walking back to her campground told us, “I just went to the best fishing spot ever! It was hidden so nobody else was there, and there were plenty of fish!” My dad gratefully said, “Thanks!” and we continued to walk to the spot. I wondered if she was telling the truth, but when we got there we saw that it was indeed hidden, and the only sign of someone being there was a shoe lace tangled in a plant. “Dang,” I said, “she was right when she said there were plenty of fish!” I could spot about four fish already, and a ledge where many more fish probably lurked. I realized how fun this would be and was ready to start fishing right away. With this amount of fish I could catch a billion and have a full meal in no time at all! I grabbed the fishing pole and told my dad, “Come on, let’s start! I don’t
On the hazy summer day, I was a carefree dolphin, cruising down the hill at a relaxed speed. My bicycle had a metal rack behind the seat, to which I Duck-Taped a bucket onto, with the purpose of carrying my tackle box and fishing rod. My sister was closing in from behind on her purple Barbie bike by the time I made it to the gravel path that led to the pond. When we got to the spot, I setup my sister’s line first, then I dropped my own hook down, right below the dock. Almost immediately, a bluegill devoured the small chunk of a Slim Jim like a blood-thirsty piranha. After I caught around 30 panfish, I landed one fish with very vibrant colors. I decided I wanted to bring it home and keep it as a pet. So just before me and my sister departed from
Sure enough, he was ready to go but he thrashed at us like a shark and does not swim away like most fish do. He would follow us around in the water. We saw him start attacking other fish that went by him which was weird because sturgeon eat clams and things of that nature, Not fish. We just ignored it and went back out to catch more fish It was 8:00 am at this point. So the sun was shining. But this time when we went out we did not go nearly as deep we stayed shallow like ten feet or so. We were using jerk baits fishing for bass and walleye nothing rare. So as soon as we got our lines out we both get a bite. So we set our hooks and reel as hard as possible. We get the fish close to the boat and they both jump at the same time. We thought for sure they were going to get off if that happened again so we reeled in harder. Sure enough, they jump again but they don't get off and they are close enough to the boat to net them. So Gavin gives me his pole and he nets both of the fish. They were tiger muskies one of the rarest types of fish in the lake other than sturgeon and paddlefish! They were not big for muskie only like 2 in a half feet long and 9 to 15lbs. But they were really pretty fish and

So me and jacob have done a lot of things together.like we to the movies ,the zoo and a lot of others and how it all started.
When we got to the pond, we noticed a monster sized fish in the water. I made a goal for myself that day. I said, “I am going to catch that fish even if I have to stay here all day!” We tried many different baits and lures to get that fish. As the day went on, we caught many small fish but not the monster fish we so badly wanted. After the clock hit 5:00 o clock we thought that we would never catch that
The most precious childhood treasure was a green bass spinnerbait. This piece of ordinary fishing tackle was more than a good bass jig to me. It began a great bonding time with my father's dad and him. Now me and my father experience the same type bonding that he experienced with his dad.
It was around 7 o'clock on a cool August night. Our family was getting ready to eat our dinner consisting of freshly caught blue crab, croaker, red snapper, and shrimp. We bought the shrimp from a small mom and pop bait shop on the main road of the island. In our small beach bungalow, the shrimp and crab boil smelled like heaven with a little bit of sea salt. We all sat on the back porch with the sea to our left and our obnoxious water balloon throwing neighbors to our right.
It was a warm summer day when I was 7 years old and I was going fishing with my dad. So we grabbed our poles and the tackle box. When we got down to the pond and I picked out the “perfect” spot. It was under a shade tree and there was also a bench to put our tackle box and to sitt.So we casted our poles.... and Nothing we tried everything crankbait, jerkbait, and still nothing.so then i went back to the old fashion worm.
Seventy five degrees hot day where the sun is shining the sound of waves hitting the shore of the beach and the smell of fish this gets me in the mood for fishing on my favorite spot mullet lake
