Employee Relations
When good employee relations are in place they can help to maintain a happy and motivated workforce. This function will be responsible for putting company policies and procedures in place regarding grievance/discipline, recruitment and selection, employee welfare, training and development, absence management/reporting and negotiating terms and conditions. Doing this will minimise conflict, ensure staff are treated fairly and creates rules that everyone is aware of. At Escape to the Wild there are no policies and procedures in place, there are inconsistencies in terms and conditions, inconsistencies in matters relating to recruitment and selection practises and staff are also overworked.

The HR department and staff members are advocates for both the company and the people who work in the company and the HR Director will make sure this is being achieved. They will implement policies and programs for the whole company, be responsible for performance management and improvement systems, organisational planning and development, policy development and documentation, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, employee safety, welfare and health. The HR Director will report to the Board of Directors.
Recruitment & Selection Officer
The Recruitment and Selection Officer is responsible for delivering all operations of recruiting throughout the company. The need to keep up-to-date with recruitment practises and are responsible for making sure the company employ the best possible candidates. Their objectives should be to develop and execute recruitment plans, implement new recruiting ideas, create job descriptions, construct and implement good recruiting and interviewing techniques, fill positions efficiently, keep up-to-date with managers regarding recruitment effectiveness. They will also look to make sure proper induction procedures are in place for when new recruits join the company. They will report to the HR Director.
Administrator to the Recruitment & Selection Officer
They will maintain records of all applicant and interviewing information. Will assist in reference checking, writing letters of rejection,
Today in the 21 century HR is the pipeline for every organization. However, when you think of HR you really done think about how import they are in an organization being able to reach their goals. In relation to Target, the HR department is continuously involved in helping the organization with their strategy and achieving goals. No as a Team Leader within Target I cannot emphasize enough how important the HR department is important. From helping with recruitment, employee retention, total rewards, performance management, while also taking into consideration employee law with ever decision or situation the HR department supports and give an organizations strategy the foundation for success.
Recruitment and selection is the process that organisations use to attract potential employees and then choose the best person for the job.
Develops and maintains up-to-date correspondence, filing, logging, and bring forward systems in the unit, and provides follows up to ensure responses are prepared in timely manner and are consistent with company standards.
The HR department ensures there is a sustained quality to relationships. They establish and communicate policies, practices and rules the organization expects both management and employees to follow. After establishing a job description, manager will work closely with HR team to review and learn of the recruiting process. Having the manager work closely with HR ensures that legal obligations and policies are followed throughout the hiring process. HR will also help assist with matching the job description to the salary required for the position.
It is a function of staffing, making sure that the company has the right number of employees with the right knowledge and skills in the right place in the organization. The recruitment department will seek to fill the vacancies within the organization. It will advertise vacancies, screen applicants, perform initial interviews, undertake necessary background checks, extend offers of employment and assist in the onboarding of new employees.
I have been asked to provide a report that supports the retention of the HR function within our organisation. In this report I will explain how Human Resource activities support the organisations strategy and how HR professionals support line managers and their staff.
The current function of HR can be defined as supporting “the delivery of the organisation’s strategy and objectives through the effective management of people and performance” (Taylor & Woodhams, 2012; 22). This definition is furthered by a CIPD survey (2007; 2-3), which indicated that the key functions of HR are: recruiting and retaining staff, progressing performance management to maximise the value of employees and increasing employee engagement.
Anna Shakaryan, HR Director is responsible for overseeing our sales force by making decisions on when we need to hire, fire, and/or transfer employees. Ms. Shakaryan ensures that salaries and commissions are competitive with industry standards and other companies. Her role is very important for morale and for keeping our workforce at their maximum performance. Our HR Director is also responsible for keeping our production cost low by allocating funds to training and using a production schedule that will fit the company’s present and future demands.
Director of human resources has many responsibilities and duties. Some of these duties include developing organizations strategies identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.

HR department is responsible for many of the attributions of an organization. HRM is a strategic part in the organizational achievement of the company. HR department major daily tasks are planning and alignment, staffing, preparing compensation offers and to shape, outline and define the culture of the organization. HRM process which purpose is to attract, retain, and motive is made up of eight main practices which include HR planning, job analysis and design, recruitment, selection, performance appraisal, training and development, compensation, and benefits.
The objective of the Human Resource Department is to design management systems to ensure human talent is maximized to effectively and efficiently achieve organizational goals. HR has seven functions that are intertwined. These functions are global, environmental, cultural geographic, political, social, legal, economic, and technological. Human resource management has the potential to drastically impact the success and effectiveness of an organization. Human Resources has heavily focused on recordkeeping and paperwork. It has often been considered a clerical and low-level administrative department. In most organizations, Human Resources is looked upon as the employee mediator in the organization. They tend to be the voice of the employee, building company morale and putting out fires involving crisis management. The problems they deal with are both employee work-related and not work-related. HR strives to ensure fair treatment for all employees. They work with varying departments throughout the organization in order to create and implement necessary programs and policies. HR works with equal employment opportunity and other laws, to ensure compliance. They work to fill current job openings by processing applications, interviewing, and training. They answer questions regarding benefits and wages and address safety issues. The expansion of technology and outsourcing have drastically transformed the
Human Resource Management (HR). This is the management of a business’s workforce or people. It is responsible for several things including the selection, training and assessment of employees, making sure that employment and labour laws are complied with and ensuring the leadership of the company overseen properly. In smaller companies the HR department may just be a few trained staff, but in larger organizations there will be a whole department focussed on HR.
