This is due to the fact that employees spend at least half their life in the workforce; therefore they are searching for work that is meaningful and where they can thrive as this increases productivity and

The organization will look at ways to reduce waste including a no waste cycle where waste from one company can be given to another for their use or the creation of a whole new company. Its also about adding value to the cost/product through making it economical and sustainable they can now market the product in a different market. Dunphy, Griffiths and Benn (2007) Take for instance the company Scandic who used the program available to all businesses world-wide the Natural Step to help them reach them 'reduce the 'ecological footprint' of the corporation and simultaneously harness efficiencies to deliver in a practical way on the commitment of 'profound caring.'(Dunphy Griffiths and Benn 2007) Through this program they were able to define a set of sustainable principles and implement them with outstanding results.
Therefore socially conscious consumers are more likely to purchase their products and seek employment within the organization.
Another example is of restaurants recycling their water usage into their own gardens on premises, purchasing locally and so supporting their local farmers and the community. (Branson 2011) However using the eco-efficiency approach alone doesn't create a sustainable long term change unless you fully involve the people in the process. As they are the ones that will be
Social responsibility makes a company more competitive and reduces the risk of sudden damage to the company’s reputation and sales.
Many firms are learning that being environmentally friendly and sustainable has numerous benefits. (O.C Ferrell, Fraedrich, Ferrell, 2015). This could enable them to increase goodwill from various stakeholders and also save money in the long term. This will mean that they are being more efficient and less wasteful of resources, which will enable them to be more competitive by satisfying stakeholders. The CEO of

Dreamworld’s owners, Ardent Leisure has developed a park that has accounted for all difficulties of sustainability despite the location and size of the amusement park. Dreamworld is a theme park situated in Coomera, near the east coast of Queensland. Due to its isolation, it is imperative to have effective sustainability methods to reserve the resources expended by the park’s energy demanding attractions. Sustainability will be the issue brought to light in this report, and a new ride will be implemented with all of the characteristics of being economically, environmentally and socially responsible. The management of the ride will be investigated in the report, including the legislations that govern sustainability.

Sustainability should be a topic for a college writing course because it is an all-encompassing topic that allows students to hone in on their critical writing, reading, and thinking abilities. It also spans many topic areas. With these skills an individual will learn to undertake new ideas and subjects, which in turn can improve reasoning and communicating. This can be beneficial in many fields, academically, professionally, and, personally.
The current global population of 7.6 billion people is expected to reach 11.2 billion in 2100 (UN DESA), and as the Earth’s population continues to grow exponentially, the topic of environmental sustainability is being debated with increased urgency. In the past few years, many large-scale environmental issues have emerged due to human activities: climate change, air and water pollution, rising sea levels, habitat loss, species extinction, and worsening natural disasters are all becoming more and more prevalent. But perhaps our most immediate concern should be whether or not we will be able to continue feeding this ever-increasing population.

Nearly everything that a human does is in response to the environment. Our lives are defined by what is around us and what we find in front of us, whether this means accepting, dealing with or changing it. This has been the pattern since primates first stood up and became Homo erectus, and has continued until we considered ourselves doubly wise. The shape of the land affected where humans moved. Weather was something with which to contend. Fire affected humans until they conquered it – and herein lies the core of the relationship. The earth affects humans, and humans affect it back, viewing characteristics and patterns as problems and challenges, and finding a solution.
Sustainability development has three components: environment, society, and economy. If you consider the three to be overlapping circles of the same size, the area of overlap in the center is human well-being. As the environment, society, and economy become more aligned, the area of overlap increases, and so does human well-being. Therefore, education for sustainable development (ESD) is the use of education as a tool to achieve sustainability. Simply put, ESD is a way to make the world a safer, healthier, and more livable place for us and future generations (McKeown, 2002, pgs 7-9).
In all the units we studied in this course there is a specific focus on the people management skills to achieve organisational sustainability as for an organisation to be sustainable it is its people or employees that will make it happen also high performance can be only achieved through enhancement of people related capabilities.
Environmental problems are something which belongs to nature or known as “Mother Earth” [13]. Nature was created to help people survive from gathering foods until build a house. This phenomenon happens continuously without thinking how much damage that nature has because human’s fault. Nature gradually becomes worse and animal’s life in danger. People who are aware of the importance of nature react. Those people do several ways to save the environment. Although these efforts can return back the environment, these efforts only can be hold temporarily. This problem happens because those people who are aware of the environment only slightly; for remaining, there are people either do not know or do not care about the nature. People’s efforts
The concept of sustainable development has become a major topic among intellectuals from various fields. Sustainable development has gone through various changes in its definitions and at present does not have a commonly accepted definition. The origination of the concept of sustainable development is debatable. In 1974 at a conference on Science and Technology for Human Development by the World Council of Churches the concept of a “sustainable society” is believed to have been first noted. This early concept focused on equitable distribution of scarce resources and the need for democratic decision making. In 1980 the currently used term of sustainable development emerged in the
