Brad Henry states, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill the love of learning”. That’s why I want to become a teacher. I want to help kids love learning. I want to be able to say, “I made a difference” in a child’s life. I want to help shape the next generation of kids become the best they can be. From a young age, I wanted to be a teacher. I love kids and I love helping them. I like being able to see their “ah-ha” moment when they finally grasp a concept that they’ve been working on. I like seeing their innocence and their love of life. I want to inspire kids and help them to grow into unique individuals that will change the world. I want to be a teacher for the child that has no one to believe in them, for the child that has the most loving family and support system and for the child that doesn’t feel they’re worth it. Those are the kids that I want to inspire and help grow. I had some wonderful teachers growing up, including my mom, and this made me want to be a teacher. They showed love, compassion and understanding. They fought for what they believed in and worked hard to make sure that all children were taken care of and understood. Growing up, my mom was a teacher. Each year I would help get her classroom ready and help take it down. If I had a day off of school and mom did not (she taught in a private school and I went to public school), I would go to school with her and help in her classroom. I would read with the kids, help them with their assignments and help my mom make copies, grade assignments or cut things out she needed for the next day or the next week. No matter what I was doing, I loved being in the classroom. My decision to become a teacher, came from my mom. She has an understanding of kids that I haven’t seen before. She always knew which kids were going struggle and which kids were going to do well. If she saw that a child was having a difficult time, she would spend time after or before school helping them. She would do anything she could to make sure that they succeeded in what they were doing. Sometimes, no matter what she did, the child still struggled. She didn’t give up though. I think that the most difficult thing for me as a teacher will be seeing
I’ve always aspired to be a teacher. Growing up I wasn’t the smartest kid, and honestly my teachers weren’t very much help with that. Truly, as a struggling student I felt that when I had a bad teacher, there was no chance for me. So ever since I was young, I wanted to grow up to be that change, I didn’t want any struggling student to feel like I did.
Most of my life I have been surrounded by children especially my cousins, nieces and nephews.
As a child playing school with the neighborhood children, I had always dreamed of becoming a teacher. Since the first day of kindergarten, watching the teacher teach us how to do basic things like counting, writing, and reading is what interested me in teaching. Throughout my elementary and secondary education I became even more interested in the teaching field. I thought that being a teacher would be the best thing in the world because a teacher has an immense amount of knowledge. Now I am in college where I am currently studying to be a secondary mathematics teacher. There are several reasons why I want to become a teacher, but the two most important reasons are to make a difference and to
"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." This is one of my favorite teaching quotes, penned by Henry Adams. It reminds me of the reasons that first fueled my passion for teaching and keeps me motivated through all my experiences. When I was about five years old, I would line my barbies in a row and "teach" them the alphabet. I believe teachers are not created but born, and this was the case for me as well. I always knew I would find teaching highly rewarding. Additionally, I had marvelous teachers myself who inspired me to admire the profession. One in particular stood out to me, Mrs. Sather. She helped me with college applications, applying to scholarships and developing a love for math. I want to be a Mrs.
I grew up listening to her wonderful stories about her rewarding lifestyles. I knew at that moment that teaching was a special career. My mother was also my teacher. After having her in fourth grade, I knew that she really did change lives, including my own. She taught me many concepts that I still remember to this day. My sister also went to college to be a teacher, and she has taught for two years now. She has made and continues to make differences in students’ lives. Those two are such great role models in my life and that is something that is very special to me. Most students do not have someone to look up to on a daily basis like I have. Showing me the importance of what it takes to be a teacher is something they have also taught me along the way. They are both part of the reason I have chosen to follow in their footsteps. As a future teacher, I know that there will be stressful days and spectacular days. I am ready to face those battles though, because my heart is set on making a difference. I want to fulfill my dreams to the fullest, and teaching is my starting
Well, when thinking about the question, several answers pop into my mind. The first reason is because, I want to better children’s life. I want to be someone to motivate and encourage students at all times. The second reason is because I want every student to know that they can do anything as long as they put their mind to it. In the future, when I teach I want to make sure that they know that. When I was a student, I had one teacher tell me, that I could be anything. Till this day I remember the teacher and what she told and taught me. If I ever feel like I am failing, I think about what she told me and I start to regain my focus and I try again until I get it right. The third reason I want to become a teacher is because, I want to be able to help students through hard times, and I want to be someone they can tell anything to, without fear. I want to be someone that is here for them no matter what they need. The fourth reason is because I want to be able to teach them information that will last them a lifetime, and I want to be able to make a change in society by being the best teacher and role model that I can be. The main goal I have as a future educator is to show each student how much fun and exciting education can be. I want my future students to be excited about learning. As a teacher, I also want them to be the best they can possibly be. I know if I put my mind to it, then I can do it.
One reason I am becoming a teacher is because I love being around children and I want to make a difference in their lives. We learned in many of my classes that a lot of people have different reasons of wanting to be a teacher; one reason was because of the school schedule. My cooperating teacher my spring semester of my first year of college, Suzanne Brungart, had said that the school schedule was one of her main reasons why she wanted to start teaching. She wanted to have a family and have time to spend with her kids during the vacations and breaks. For me, yes, the school schedule is nice to have, and I also want to have a family in the future, but my main reason why I want to become a teacher is because I love kids. I want to be able to make a difference in their lives and help them out anyway I can; that is the best gift that I can receive from becoming a teacher. Sometimes, I like spending time with children more than I do with adults. Children are just simpler and more innocent, not as complicated as adults. I love the simplicity and openness that children have, and I just want the best for all of them. This led me to become an early childhood education major at OSU.
Do you remember being young and playing pretend? Do you remember wearing your mom’s high heels, dressing up in a nice outfit, and marching around teaching your ten American girl dolls a lesson. I for sure do. This was my everyday afterschool routine. Teaching my younger sisters and my dolls the lessons that I had learned in school that day. I had a mini classroom in my basement set up with a chalkboard and all. Teaching to me gave me the opportunity to lead. It gave me the chance to be in charge. Ever since I was young, I wanted to be a teacher. I couldn’t wait to set up a classroom and make it my own. But even more, I couldn’t wait to begin a school year with thirty children and watch them grow and learn throughout the year. I want to be a teacher who is an influential part of their lives. For the amount of time, effort, and work that teachers put into their job they should be more appreciated because they are educating the children who will grow up to be the leaders of the future.
Every little child has an ideal dream job that they want to do when they grow up. I was one of those little children telling my parents all kinds of things, but when I got to high school I realized I wanted to be a teacher. Ever since then I have realized that I am grateful for all the fantastic teachers I had through high school. They made me realize further why I wanted to become a teacher. I believe one of the most important things about becoming a teacher is helping influence the students of the future like my teachers did for me.
My passion for teaching comes from the early experiences that I have had with children. Watching babies grow and develop is one of the most amazing and rewarding experiences that a person can go through. Working with children has changed my life greatly and brought more meaning into it. I believe that the role of a teacher within an individual classroom is to make sure that all children are getting the attention and education that they deserve, and most importantly create a safe and comfortable environment. Learning should be presented in different methods, and styles, filled with creativity, and life lessons. Each child is unique and learns in different ways. As a future teacher, I will do my best too incorporate all learning styles into my lesson plans, and always be prepared to present an activity in an alternative way, so each activity is age appropriate. As a teacher I will engage each child equally into the daily activities, showing that their voice is important and valued. All children need to receive positive and negative reinforcements in order to learn, and become a well rounded individual. Children also need to feel cared for and feel that they have a role in the classroom.
I want to teach because I want to make a difference in children’s lives and in the world on a daily basis. Teachers’ can better the future by fostering and encouraging children’s ideas, intelligence and individual characteristics. I really enjoy being around children. You may think that you are the one teaching them a lot, and you are, but in return they are teaching you just as much. Another reason I want to be a teacher is because I enjoy witnessing children’s “light-bulb” moments. That moment when they finally understand a lesson or a concept. With younger children, and even some older children, they always keep you on your toes, so I like that there will never be a dull moment. Children have a funny sense of humor and are always happy about something. Also, I like that when I finally have a family of my own one day, I will be able to not only have a job but also have time to spend with my children. One last big reason I want to be a teacher is because I will be giving back to the community every day through the children and their education. Knowing why you want to be a teacher is easy, but with that comes understanding the purpose of education.
I am becoming a teacher because I know I can make a difference in the lives of my students. I will be a positive influence in their lives in both the classroom and the outside world. I will be there to show them support educationally, in their extra -curricular activities, and when needed the social world of school. I want my work as their teacher to make an impact on their lives and open up their eyes to all the opportunities that are available to them. I believe that every child can succeed when given the right tools, knowledge and a teacher who truly believes in them. I believe that the circumstances one is born into shouldn 't dictate their chances for success, and I believe that a strong education system is essential for America to
My motivation for being a teacher comes from somewhere deep within my heart and soul. I love children. I love the look that comes across their faces when they finally grasp a concept after they have been trying to truly understand it. I had a lot of teachers that made an impact on me and I want to have the same impact on as many children as possible. My teachers installed a love of learning in me. There is no better profession than teaching for those who want to learn. One is learning just as much from their students, if not more, than what they teach. Teaching is rewarding and involves making the world a better place. That is my calling. To change the world, one person at a time, by showing love to each and every person I meet. Weather it be one of my students or one of their parents, I want to be Christ’s light just like my teachers were for me. I want to be the support system that shows each and every one of my students that they can do anything they put their mind to. Not only can they shoot for the stars, but they can shoot far beyond. After all, I was once just a kid from a small farm town that no one knows about. Now I’ve been on 4 mission trips, I travel all around, and I moved half way across the country to chase my dreams. I am here because I was impacted by my high school history teacher/ musical director, Mr. Wittig. He pushed me to chase my dreams and to follow my heart and not to let anything get in my way. I want to share what I have with every child I can,
All career paths have ups and downs, and are important. Personally, I think teach is one of, if not, the most important career. For the simple fact of teachers are the foundation of every other career. I haven’t always wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a dentist, a veterinarian, a flight attendant, anything but a teacher. But, God has taken my hand and dragged me down a path I didn’t know was for me and he showed me that this, teaching, was everything I could ever want and more. On my journey down this path I will have many things to look forward to and strive towards.
lives. Whether that in the classroom setting, on the court/field, or at home, I want to become a teacher so I can fulfill those dreams and help others! Every child and every person deserve an education. Everyone deserves to learn so one day they can fulfill any dreams they have! Education is so important to me! The reason education is so important for me is because without education people are not being pushed to their fullest potential. If you’re not pushing yourself and allowing yourself to be challenged than you're not becoming any smarter and growing as a person. Every day I strive to learn something new. I’m able to do this by reading, watching documentaries, and observing. I’m not the type of teacher to constantly hit the books, but In order to push myself to my fullest potential; I have to continue to learn day in and day out. As a teacher, I have the mindset to try to have my students learn something new every day, and never want to stop learning! That’s why this quote means so much to me “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill the love of learning.” “Brad Henry” This quote is the perfect saying for my cheating style. Teaching is a profession where you are constantly teaching young minds and you have the power to inspire them to want to learn and never want to stop learning. As a future teacher I aspire
