I selected UNC-Chapel Hill because it is close to home, which is something my parents have a longing for, and because it offers many diplomas in contrasting majors. UNC offers 78 bachelors, 112 masters, 68 doctorates and seven professional degree programs as well as 70 distinct majors (www.unc.edu/academics/). This school would be an exquisite place for me to figure out my goals and accomplish them. UNC-Chapel Hill is the earliest state university in the nation, this university has over two centuries of history, including overcoming segregation and has information on all of its first African students in each major (https://museum.unc.edu).
Through the early college program, I’m hoping to gain at least one associates’ degree. If I am

Accordingly, UNC has a program for transferring students, that will allow my schedule to be official. There are some classes that I won’t be able to attend at first but applications are similar to that of regular students. To complete the application, I must achieve the following: The common application, $85 application fee, essay, two short answers, transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, and a letter of recommendation (http://admissions.unc.edu/apply/transfer-students/the-transfer-application/). As a transfer student, my application and fee would be due around February, the other aspects of the full application process will be due within 2-3 weeks of me turning in my application (http://admissions.unc.edu/apply/deadlines/).
RCEC gives me an advantage in college. It not only covers some courses I need for my B.A. but also has a program to ensure that almost every student leaves with a scholarship. If I don’t get a scholarship I plan on using the money from my grandfathers will, which I can access after I receive my high school diploma.
Moreover, going off the idea that I do get a scholarship, I plan on living off campus. By
I have fallen in love with UNCW after first-hand seeing it for myself last summer. I know a lot of alumni from UNCW and have heard nothing but positive things about the school, teachers, and its courses. I am interested in majoring marketing or business and UNCW excels in both of these areas for me. In addition, it provides many courses that assist me in meeting my goals for my career. I would love to attend UNCW because it is close to my hometown but also far enough to where I can be an independent. Not only do I believe the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the right fit for me and my future career but also has every aspect that I am looking for in a college. It has the perfect location, the perfect size, very affordable, and the
I decided to attend North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University because I wanted a HBCU experience. For most my life, I was surrounded by diversity. The schools I attended had a healthy balance of students from all races. Even though that was good I wanted a change of environment. Throughout high school I was taught the bare minimum of black history. Each year, the great deeds of Martin Luther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, and Rosa Parks were drilled into my head. When I toured A&T they provided me with information on black history that I was not even aware of. After the tour, I made my decision to attend A&T and gain more knowledge. When I came to college the biggest challenge I faced was time management.
UNC Charlotte has made a significant impact on my undergraduate career because this campus has an abundance of resources, a helpful staff, a diverse atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities for campus involvement. This university has a variety of staff, all of which have been helpful in my college experience. They are excellent about working with students so they can gain the most out of their educational experience. For example, when I have sought out more information on which portion of Spain to go to, so that I may improve my Spanish fluency, my professor was extremely helpful. She sat down with me and explained about what it is like living in Spain, tips for where to go, and what to expect from the different regions. This valuable information
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to attend UNC Chapel Hill. The only problem with going to a big university is the money and maintaining a certain grade point average. Chapel Hill is located near Raleigh, Durham which
Going to college, is where your journey in life really begins. Choosing the right college for you is one of the biggest decisions you make in life. I choose California Baptist University to enhance my studies, meet people pursuing the same passion as I am, and become closer to God.
Two colleges I would like to attend is High Point University and UNC Pembroke. I would like to attend High Point because it is near both Winston-Salem and Greensboro. UNC Pembroke is also a great option to attend to because I noticed that the campus is closed off which will help in staying focus but it’s not as close to the city. My academic interest is in natural science involving biology but also math. My social interests is doing activities in the city in order to have a separation from campus life.
The mission statement at UNC Wilmington states that they are committed to student engagement, creative inquiry, critical thinking, thoughtful expression and resposible citizenship. These qualities are things that every student should look for when the big deciosion of where to go to college comes up. College is a big stepping stone for students, it shouldnt be about where all your friends are going, or where the parties are gonna be. The education and enviorment you are wanting to be in is what matters. I have dreams and aspirations of becoming a nurse, getting a BSN degree. UNCW has factors that stand out against any other school. Job prospects and salary are high, this means that when I leave UNCW I wont have to worry about whether or not
Throughout our state and our nation, there are a variety of options when it comes to higher education. In the state of North Carolina, one of the many community colleges is Fayetteville Technical Community College, also referred to as FTCC. One of the many universities in our state is the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which is also called UNC-Chapel Hill. I chose these two institutions because they are two of the places I am looking at to get my various degrees. When looking at these two places of education, we can see that there are many similarities, but there are also differences.
The University of North Carolina Wilmington gives a welcoming and home-like feeling to all who attend. Once I step foot on campus, it reminds me of the privilege I have of staying home. It has always been the college I've wanted to attend. The small and diverse community is what keeps me here in Wilmington, North Carolina and UNCW fulfills my dreams of not leaving. I find the mixture of races and gender to be essential in a community or school. It defines a person including their culture and allows everyone to be different from one another. It proves that we can all get along and work together to create greater changes as a whole; UNCW has that variety. However, not only does the diverse environment attract me, but so does the beautiful campus.
The diversity of NC State would benefit me by allowing me to experience new relationships and skills. I learn and develop through my experiences, and the mixture of the campus, culture, and nearby cities would give me that growth. These new opportunities
In my highschool career I spent most of my time at the pool as a swim instructor and lifeguard and surprisingly this was what showed me that caring for children was my passion. By working with these kids and learning how to care for them it only gave me more confidence in my decision to become a pediatrician. This and my personal experience with children really opened my eyes to how what I truly wanted to do going into college was right in front of me. I plan to major in Biology and have a minor in Psychology.UNC Wilmington has an excellent Biology program that I would love to take a part of. Going this to university would be a fantastic opportunity because it is known for its diversity, affordability, and highly ranked programs. When I found UNCW I thought It would be a perfect fit for me.
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
When I first started thinking about college schools I never thought about going to MSU or Ole Miss. I wanted to go to the bigger universities, but I knew I wouldn’t do well if I went there my first year. My high school did not prepare me enough for University, and I hadn’t decided on a major either. I choose East Central Community College (ECCC) as the school I would go to for many reasons, and when I got here I knew I made the right choice.
The institution that I have decided to attend is the University of Central Florida. The main reason why I chose this school was because it will help me save money and I won’t need to travel anywhere to get my degree. Another big reason as to why I chose this school is because they have many great programs that will help me be better prepared when I begin my career such as their Modeling, Stimulation, and Training Epicenter which is used to prepare nursing students with different types of scenarios that they might face while working and also helps them work hands on rather than watching someone else do the job. UCF was also a good choice because their Medical Mission trips could help me and other nursing students travel to other places in the
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
