I am aware my influencing style is to mentor and motive staff. I influence staff easily because I am a friendly and a supportive person. Although sensitive I am able to cope with work pressure. I empower others and boost their self-esteem. Furthermore I share the experience I had to motivate and encourage them. And for the individual to reach their best potential. I am a cooperative person.
I had influenced and mentored one of my team member to believe in herself and keep on working and choose this job as a career. The pressure on gaming is huge as we interact with customers on a daily basis. And with that we need to have the best customer services no matter how we are treated by customers. She could not take it because she was bit slowly and

My highest score in the “Chapter 1.2 Conceptualizing Leadership Questionnaire” (Northouse, p. 15) was in process emphasis. This talks about how leadership isn’t an innate quality, such as ability or trait, but rather the interaction between a leader and his/her follower(s) (Northouse, p. 7). The better one is at being able to influence his/her followers, the better he/she would be as a leader. If one can’t influence anyone, he/she would not be a leader who would be able to accomplish all tasks to their fullest potential. I agree with this because I feel influencing is
Influencing habits - this is one of the most sophisticated tools in your leadership tool kit and too few executives can influence at the degree necessary to be effective in a matrix horizontal environment. Influencing outcomes needs to be a core skill for each of us to develop and practice. The basic elements of effective influencing are as
As a writer in English 102 I learned different styles and techniques when writing an essay. Even though having to transition from high school to college was really difficult to comprehend. Especially, the learning styles that I was given such as hegemony, ideology and other cultural studies that I wasn’t familiarized with. However, I take my time off and fully understand what these concepts really mean. I started to read the big red book and take notes about cultural studies in class. Hegemony and ideology started to make sense. I can understand how our society shapes these cultural studies. Especially, wealth because this power can truly change people. That is why power is only meant for certain people, it also makes sense that if every individual really want power our society would corrupt. Imagine everyone in our society having lavage lifestyles. The economy will go downhill because who needs a job when you have lots of money. Also, they don’t even want to bother the things concerning our economy and/ or our environment. It is why applying cultural studies outside the classroom can help understand the importance of power. The example I mention also creates
The first skill of idealized influence is the “ability of the leader to build loyalty and commitment within others by building a sense of mission, without consideration of their own self-needs” (Ghadi & Fernando, 2013, p.535). To build loyalty among followers, “the leader will have to strengthen mutual confidence, respect and trust” (Doody & Doody, 2012, p.2). As a leader, I will first have to show confidence in my decision-making as well as my vision that I am exuding. Idealized influence is the ability of the leader to build commitment within their followers, which is influenced by self-confidence, respect and trust. Involving followers and asking for their advice will help to instil a sense of mutual respect and trust. For the leader to be effective in influencing their followers, they must also have charisma, defined by Doody & Doody
When writing essays or summaries, I would have to normally revise my papers to make sure that I do not have any mistakes in my grammar or writing style. However this year, I have noticed I have improve in my style and grammar. However, I have not fully understand how to fix my style or how to fully understand grammar in my papers. Over the semester, I gained an awareness of my style that I use in my papers. Normally my papers are full of errors that I do not catch when revising them and I have learned to catch my mistake by printing out my papers and editing them by hand instead of using the computer. When editing my papers it works to read and look at it on paper as I would see mistakes that I would never see on a screen. Through this strategy,
The rubric for blogs/journals has four critical elements. The first is critical thinking and reflections. This refers to being able to support your claim with either personal experience, learning, or logical thought. Voice is the next critical element and it means that you are able to express yourself and reach your audience in an appropriate writing style. Writing is the last critical element and it means that your paper is free of grammar and spelling errors.

There are many writing styles that many people pick up as they go through there many years of schooling. Each person picks up the same type of writing styles but as years go by people seem to pick up there own little types of writing style that separates them from everyone else. As I have gone through many years of English classes I have acquired more and more skills and many more are sure to come as I continue my education. My writing skills have only gotten better from the time of ninth grade English class until today. Since my days back in junior high school I was only taught the basic skills to write papers and since then they have grown to make me a decent writer. I have many strengths and also

I agree with you that the authoritative style is the best style to be used on children for disciplining children. In the same way, effective educators encourage children to be responsible by giving them reasonable expectations and by teaching them social skills. Who does not want to have the result of such style knowing that over time such children will be happy, friendly, goal oriented; in simple words better
The authors suggest that fewer words bring about a writer's style or concision (p. 126). A list of principles are provided as a tool to assist the writer in reducing concision wordiness. The writer begins by eliminating words with insignificant meaning. The writer then search for paired words, words of inference, modifying negatives, replacing a word with a phrase, and the removal of unnecessary adjectives and adverbs(p. 127-131).
One of the other members of our team fit into the ‘shaper’ team role and was found to be able to thrive on pressure and challenge themselves and other members of our team. This drive and encouragement meant that we were able to overcome certain obstacles in the business. This role would best suit the traditional role of a managing director as it is very important for the manager to drive other team members and be encouraging. However, the allowable weakness off this team role was that she was sometimes blunt with other and had the risk of offending others but felt that these steps had to be taken in order to get the jobs done.
Stylistics are used in writing to set various pieces of literature apart, while also determining the effectiveness said literature has on the reader. The novels Such is My Beloved and By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept both involve the concepts of sex and religion, but are each enjoyed by different groups of readers, Factors that highlight these differences include the point of view which story is told from, the word choice by the author, and the style the novel is written with. Such is My Beloved is enjoyed by more readers due to its following of a traditional form of writing, use of simplistic direct language, and a higher use of personal words and sentences than found in By Grand
