Before “The Rest”
Have you ever wondered how everything in the world began? I know I have. Some of you could be thinking about it right now. Or have already.
When you see those beautiful flowers in the summer do you sometimes wonder how they became to be? Well I’m sure most of you would say from seeds. That is

Only light in the mist and on the water.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening, and there was morning the first day.”
The first day. The very beginning of everything, in this old world. The beginning of time, the beginning of history. The beginning of all the happiness and sorrow of mankind. For it was on this day that the great and loving creator, with a wonderful purpose in mind, drew near this blacked-out planet, this dark little speck in space, and said.
“Let there be light.”
Great Preparations
As the light of earths first day fades into night, something strange and wonderful begins to happen. Silently, mysteriously, the heavy, moisture-laden mist that has held close to the ocean begins to rise. All night and all the next morning it goes up, up, up until it becomes a beautiful fleecy white covering high above the world. Between it and the water below there is clear, fresh air, forming the atmosphere.. “And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.”
Perhaps you are wondering why God took one whole day of creation week
In the literal sense, God made the heavens and the earth. Before God spoke, the earth did not exist, it was empty and formless. He said, "Let there be light," and there was light. This is the first day of the creation of the world.
In Genesis God created the earth in six days and declared rest for the seventh day. On day one, God created light to part it from darkness, calling the light “day” and the darkness “night”. On day two, he created the sky, allowing him to create land and sea on day three. God created the sun, moon, and the stars to give light to the earth and to govern and separate the day and the night" on the fourth diurnal (Fairchild, 2013). These elements would also serve to establish days, season, and years. On the fifth day God created all the organisms on the land, sea, and sky and made sure they would flourish.
God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. He separated the light from the darkness he called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” God called the vault “sky.” God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their

the sky (Genesis 2:19)”. Does the Bible mean it literally, or does it mean something else and C.S.
Earth was empty and desolate. God then created light, and separated it from darkness. That was 1st day.
In 1600 BC it was completely dark outside. No one lived and nothing roamed the earth. The earth was created by the land and water god and the nature was created by the nature god. What had not yet been created was the sun and the moon. Later in 1700 BC the god of making human life created 2 people.
In the beginning there was nothing, except God. God made everything out of nothing. He made the heavens, earth, and all things. It took him 6 days and on the seventh day he rested.
(1) That part of the solar day of twenty-four hours which is light (Genesis 1:5, Genesis 1:14, John 9:4, 11:4).
While I am not a member of the clergy, I am certainly a man of faith and as such, I would ask that all who feel so inclined, please join me in reciting the Lord’s Prayer.
Millions of Centuries ago there was only day. There was no night, only hot, sunny, bright day. And the god in charge of that was Apollo. In the beginning God’s ruled over the earth and each of them had a special ability and Apollo’s happened to be the sun. But little did he know his never ending days would soon come to an end.
On the first day God creates the foundation on which the rest of the earth and surrounding universe is built. This begins with his command let there be light'. He then goes on to separate the light from the darkness, naming them night and day.
Then the mountain god closed his eyes it became night time and when he opened them it became day
Prayer is an essential discipline of the Christian faith. History and cultural differences show us that many people engage in many different ways and techniques to pray and communicate with God. How do you find the right way for you?
