The American Revolution was a great mark in history because the colonist were striving to get their independence from Great Britain. From seeing many films the revolution was a harsh and emotional time. Many families suffered from the deaths of their husbands and fathers. The Patriot helped developed the appreciation and understanding of the American Revolution. The scenes from the Patriot that increased the understanding of the American Revolution was the Strategy behind the Battle of Cowpens, Siege of Yorktown, and The Revolutions Divides Families, Friends, and Villages.

Menace II Society, a film about a young Black man who has lived the “hustler” lifestyle and is struggling to leave it, is a perfect example of deviance as the main character, Caine Lawson, and the characters around him violate many of society’s norms. Throughout the film, the characters swear incessantly, carry around guns and drugs as most people would carry around cell phones, commit street crimes, especially burglary and mugging, on a regular basis, and beat and kill people unscrupulously. The following quote captures just how deviant Caine and the other characters in this film were, “[Caine] went into the store just to get a beer. Came out an accessory to murder and armed robbery. It's funny like that in the hood sometimes. You never
On August 2nd, 1990 Iraqi military forces invaded and occupied the small Arab state of Kuwait. The order was given by Iraqi dictatorial president Saddam Hussein. His aim was apparently to take control Kuwait's oil reserves (despite its small size Kuwait is a huge oil producer; it has about 10 per cent of the world's oil reserves ). Iraq accused Kuwait, and also the United Arab Emirates, of breaking agreements that limit oil production in the Middle East. According to Saddam Hussein, this brought down world oil prices severely and caused financial loss of billions of dollars in Iraq's annual revenue.
The profoundly affecting conflict, the positive mood, and the real setting make The Patriot a really worth-watching movie. The Patriot is a movie directed by Roland Emmerich. By creating this movie, Roland Emmerich vividly narrates some of the difficulties and harshness the founders of the United States faced. In The Patriot, you can find many traces of the true events, but most parts of this movie are fiction. This movie talks about the Revolutionary War, which took place in 1775. The movie really stimulates a person’s love of his country. By looking at the setting, mood, and conflict in The Patriot, it is clear that the director’s purpose is to persuade the viewer to appreciate how much was lost for this country and see the value of country.
Operation Iraqi freedom started early march 2003 and after to mission was labeled as a “success” after defeating Saddam Hussein they were already involved with fighting Al-Qaida, Operation Iraqi freedom was 1 of the many code names for the war but it’s usually referred to as “Gulf War” Operation Iraqi Freedom is just 1 of the original names for the fight
On March 20, 2003, the combined military forces of the United States and Britain crossed the southern border of Iraq and Kuwait with the intent of capitulating the government of Saddam Hussein. In 2003, President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell launched an invasion of the nation of Iraq. United States Secretary of State Colin Powell outlined the reasons Iraq posed a threat to international security in a speech he gave at the United Nations. Iraq’s nuclear weapons program concerned the Bush administration. Fearing Iraq might use this program to act aggressively in the region, and wanting to secure oil supplies and a friendly regime, the administration pursued a plan of action to remove Iraqi President Saddam Hussein from power (FLS 2016, 43). A constant secure supply of oil stood as a cornerstone of the military-industrial complex thriving in the United States and a friendly regime in such an oil rich country remained an important objective of President Bush. This directly conflicted with the desire of President Saddam Hussein of Iraq to remain in power.
Tobias’ mother comes into the picture about half way through the book, and we find out that she is the leader of the faction-less people. These are the people who did not pass the initiation of their faction or were kicked out. They team up with Tris and Tobias in a war with the Erudite. During this process, the real truth comes out. Commanding heights: The New Rules is the third film in the series and is about the 21st century economy. PBS sponsored the film under the direction of Michael Sullivan to inform the public about the economic situation. They speak about how the economy adapted to what is today. How the world nationalized third world countries allowing exchange and investment. Episode 3 addresses the current and future problems of a globalized world. That's the structure of the film. The film clearly, thoroughly, and excitingly explains this through historic facts and stories told by citizens who lived during the changes. This is not an economics lesson but rather a high dramatic event that impacts peoples lives. Commanding
