Teacher Interview of Special Education Introduction In this interview, I got to see a view of a special education teacher Katie Winkel. This interview went undoubtedly well and she was clear on all of the questions I asked her. On some questions, we went deeper because I certainly wanted to know further about what she said in the question. We did get off track, but the other questions I asked her was related to the answer she gave me. I actually developed to learn about extra broad ideas out of the question. This experience was really satisfying for me as a future educator because I became aware to ask questions within my specific field. Katie was clear on the questions that just asked a simple “Why did you want to teach the grade level you did”. The answers I contracted back from her were absolutely specific and she got her point across to where I couldn’t tell her that the answer was not thought out. She made sure she answered all the questions to her knowledge, so I could get the experience I wanted from the interview. Katie was prepared, but gave me an excellent interview. This interview was a positive experience for me becoming a future educator. Reflection First and foremost, throughout this interview I learned as a future educator is to be honest with myself. For example, Katie said “I want to stay close to home when I teach” (K. Winkel, personal communication, October 9, 2017). When I think about teaching and where I want to teach, I know I want to be close to home
