In the ISFJ personality the letter “I” represented me being an introvert. Introverts tend to be more closed in and often think about things before acting on them. Introverts would choose reading a book over hanging out with friends. Introverts, like myself, prefer alone time more often than others. I show this common characteristic very often. A lot of my family and friends often worry that I am too introverted and should get out more. In my career, I have always enjoyed one on one task versus group assignments. In relationships I tend to have a lot of emotions and intense feelings. I have a hard time trying to express these feelings to my spouse and tend to hold them in. When it comes to conflict I prefer to sweep things under the rug and pretend that they didn’t happen. I mostly do this to avoid more conflict with my spouse. This is a problem that most people with the ISFJ personality face. We do not express our feelings like we should until we are pushed to a limit and we explode in anger and say things that we should not say.

According to the Myers-Briggs Test, l express the ENFP personality type – dominant in Extraversion and yearning for deeper personal connection. Daily my extraversion guides my encounters with people, from the local encounters at coffee shops to my personal relationships, l find joy in communicating with others—building bridges for life long connections. Although many extroverts are often labeled as full of energy twenty-four seven, l value my time a lone both as a recharging mechanisms, and a time for introspection. It is often at these times of introspection that l reflect on my goals as a future physician to be a lifelong learner, actively engaged, compassionate, and leading with competence. ENFJs have an immense heart for others, almost to a fault. ENFJ’s easily reflect on and over-analyze their own feelings, so if they get too caught up in another person’s conflict, they immediately blame the distress on themselves and try to fix everything. True to my personality type, I genuinely care about motivating people to live their best lives full of happiness. So, my biggest strength is my selflessness. This is true to an ENFJ personality type that constantly wants to bring people together and make a better world. The most relatable fact I found about ENFJ’s is the weakness of ENFJ’s being too sensitive. I take everything said to me to heart and am always worried if I have met people’s expectations of me. Similarly, ENFJs take too much to heart and constantly worry if they are doing enough. Because of this anxiety, ENFJs also have a fluctuating self-esteem and an indecisive nature. My self-esteem is almost entirely based on how other people are treating me. And every decision is a massive ordeal because I can’t stop thinking about everyone involved and what the want to happen. I want everyone to get his or her way; I hate the feeling of dissatisfying someone. Also true to me, I avoid conflict like the plague. I always want to serve the role of peacekeeper in a conflict. I also love to volunteer and give back, also true to ENFJ. Most everything I found on ENFJ fit me pretty well.

As requested, I took the Jung Typology Assessment. The results revealed my personality to be ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging). The first characteristic listed is the desires to serve others. An ISFJ is loyal, sometimes taken for granted, bad at delegating, but produces superior quality work. Methodical, accurate, and possess an excellent memory are more characteristics of the ISFJ personality type. They work well in a small group and make reliable coworkers; however, they tend to be awkward in a supervisory capacity. According to the Jung Typology Test, my four letter personality type is ISFJ. I was not surprised with my results at all and found them to be very accurate and represent me as a person. As an introvert, “I often prefer doing things alone or with one or two people (CITE). As a student, being an introvert is a disadvantage for me because I do not work well with large study groups and instead rather lock myself in a room and study alone. During the month of January, the Mktg 3100 class that I took part in, was given a Myers-Briggs characterization form to fill out. Because the Myers-Briggs results place me into two categories, I shall discuss this response to both ISFJ and ISFP character trait types. This paper will discuss my viewpoints, others viewpoints, and the characteristics on how it might affect the decisions I make with my activities, social, vocational life. The results of this examination were two because of how closely related my answers were to both types. Though this is a good ball-park estimate on what kinds of traits I may have, it is not perfect.

According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ’s place importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends. There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality.

One particular element I read when reading about the results of this indicator test was the ESFJ personality types works hard, see problems clearly and expects others to do the same. In nursing not everyone has the same personality and it is difficult for me when other nurses don’t have the same enthusiasm or flare to get tasks done. Also my personality demands structure and organization, not all personalities feel the same way. To improve my team performance, I need to remind myself to be respectful to other personalities, by not getting frustrated with others not performing the way I do. They just have different personalities.

Throughout the course of years, I tend to find out more about myself. Every day is challenging and full of many surprises. However, the most challenging thing in my life is working with other personalities. Only to find myself considered an ENFJ with a temperament of NF. Yes, I’m open to others and would put myself last, but I now understand how to truly connect.

With my personality type being ISFP, I have learned that I am able to collect a large amount of information at one and that I am able to think before I speak. I would strongly agree with this personality type. I put other people’s feelings before my own. Another thing I have learned is that I should find a job where I am able to work with people and find a job were I will be able to make good use of my ability of being able to understand facts. My possible strengths would be to make being feel comfortable and valued.

ENFJs are described as warm, compassionate, and supportive, as well as loyal and trustworthy. These are all words that I would describe myself as, my most important characteristic being my loyalty in friendship. My type description also proclaims that I am “highly attuned to others; their empathy enables [me] to quickly understand emotional needs, motivations, and concerns.” No other description of me could be truer. My whole life, I have been quickly able to understand others, and even know that they are upset before they tell me so. Another handout describes ENFJs as having an intense caring about people.

ESFJ’s are considered to be extremely sensitive and are hurt by indifference and do not comprehend unkindness. They are described as being giving individuals who obtain satisfaction by the happiness from others. ESFJ’s flaw is that they are so giving and caring that they sometimes are blinded from the truth and have a hard time accepting the negative truth about someone they care about.

The INFJ personality is known to be the world rarest personality type and often misunderstood. This type stand for a percentage of less than 2% of the overall world population according to Holm (2009), the majority of that percentage being female and some famous INFJ that can be named are Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa. My INFJ in academic and business milieu: from the past week assignment, my preferred four letters chosen base on the instructions received from Myers-Briggs type indicator were INFJ, which stands for Introverting, iNtuiting, Feeling and Judging. For this week assignment I was very surprise after taking the Jungian test to discover that my personality type fours letter were confirmed to be the same INFJ. Having my conformed INFJ profile means that in business milieu, my creativity and sense of responsibility come in first. Although as an INFJ I’m strongly introverted, I nevertheless highly care about my relationship with other individuals. At work I’m open to communication and always available when it comes to help colleagues to carry out on tasks or explaining work procedures. However, my personality type also implies that I can have sudden need for personal time away from others, which is my way to recharge and regain my energy. In an academic milieu, I’m more focus on setting and reaching my goals; I get motivated by planning in advance my studying weeks and do a lot of efforts to meet my assignment deadlines.
